You really think the RCC is the New Testament church?

The ones who brought us the crusades, Spanish Inquisition, and a host of heresies (indulgences, veneration of Mary, purgatory, the papacy) that they were eventually called out on?

God always kept a remanant of true Bible-believing Christians (Donatists, Catheri, Pricillianists, Waldenses, Anabaptists, etc). You remember them. They were the ones persecuted and slaughtered by the RCC. We give credit where credit is due. The Donatist predate the RCC. Follow the blood, and you’ll find the real church.

Fundamental Baptists adhere to a literal hermaneutic in biblical interpretation, which makes is impossible to make a private interpretation: becuase the Bible is self-defining.

And we have nothing to do with the innumerable non-denominations springing about.

I have a cousin who lives in an area where he has 2 choices. ELCA or Catholic. He isn’t going Catholic. Luckily for him, the members of his congregation are sane and are just about ready to break off from the ELCA. That is a bracnch that needs to be cut and thrown in the fire.

Well,there are still a lot of good people up here. This gay "marriage" would have been long gone if we had been allowed to vote on it. (Like 31 other states were allowed).

The funny part is;after all the fuss the gays make about their "right" to gay "marriage",I haven't seen a gay "marriage" announcement in the paper in ages!

Marie2 - Yes, I did write this. I’m not sure what denomination yet(if my church does not leave the ELCA) because there are a lot of great ones out there.
