It happened late Friday night. State police say four cars had damage to a passenger-side window and one had a busted rear window. Some of the victims tell News Channel 8, it sounded like a rock hit their cars, just before the windows shattered. Troopers say the shots may have come from a high powered BB gun. They searched the woods near exit 43, but didn't find anyone. No on was hurt. According to PennDOT, both directions of the interstate between Girard and Allegheny Avenues will be closed at some point Monday evening. Officials said the work is expected to last at least through the day on Tuesday and possibly even longer. A support beam underneath the road seems to be the center of the problem. The missile was being shipped from Rhode Island to a Virginia naval installation when the truck broke down.
