Former Clinton aide Kiki McLean defended Hillary Clinton's claim that she was "dead broke" and "struggled" after leaving the White House by saying that the Clintons "have a life and a set of expectations that are different" from middle class Americans. McLean made the comments on CNN:(VIDEO-AT-LINK)"I suppose when you heard that comment you knew full well that that was going to be fodder for the Republicans," the CNN host said today referring to the comments Clinton made in an interview that aired last night. "Mrs. Clinton used the word 'houses' -- the plural version, which many Americans would hear...
  • Putin: Hillary Clinton Has 'Never Been Too Graceful' in Statements

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday said Hillary Clinton’s recent comments comparing his actions to those of Adolf Hitler are a sign of weakness, saying she “has never been too graceful” in her public statements. Putin was asked if he thought "it would be worse if you were meeting with Hillary Clinton" given the former secretary of state's rhetoric. "I think even in this case we could reach an agreement," Putin said. "When people push boundaries too far, it's not because they are strong but because they are weak. But maybe weakness is not the worst quality for a woman.

Alison Lundergan Grimes won't be showing Southern hospitality to President Obama. The Kentucky Democrat says she doesn't need the President to help out in her bid for the U.S. Senate, as she tries to distance herself from his unpopular health care reform. “I speak for myself. I don't need any other surrogate to do that,” she announced Monday in a MSNBC interview with Kasie Hunt, when asked if the President would be joining her on the campaign trail.

The side-by-side comparisons of President Obama's statements then and now are devastating. Especially the "period." Period here is no punctuation mark. It's a way of underscoring the word of the President of the United States. If you like your health care plan you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away. No matter what. - June 15,2009And I am sorry that they, you know, are finding themselves in this situation, based on assurances they got from me. - November 7,2013For him to have made such unqualified assurances to the American people--not once but dozens...

"In 1996, I signed the Defense of Marriage Act," says former President Bill Clinton in The Washington Post. DOMA, which prevents federal recognition of same-sex marriage, is up for review at the Supreme Court on April 27, and the justices will have to decide whether the law "is consistent with the principles of a nation that honors freedom, equality, and justice above all," Clinton says. In the 17 years since he signed it, the former president says, "I have come to believe that DOMA is contrary to those principles and, in fact, incompatible with our Constitution." SEND A MESSAGE OF THANKS Thank you, Hillary Clinton Foundation Dear Douglas, As we welcome Hillary home, we couldn't be more proud of what she's accomplished or more humbled by her commitment to making our country and our world stronger, safer, and better. Over the past four years, she's traveled to 112 countries, more than any other Secretary of State in our nation's history – and while this sometimes meant we saw her less often than we'd like, we're so grateful for the millions of lives she's touched and the change she's inspired across the globe. So as she...

I remember the first time I realized that Barack Obama was not going to be another Bill Clinton. Everyone assumed that the Secretariat from Illinois was the natural heir to the Secretariat from Arkansas. But Barry was only out of the gate for a day in 2007 before it became apparent that, while the senator had a bouquet of talents and several virtues that Clinton would never possess, he was not quite Bill’s match as a political natural. After running last time as the stake in the heart of the dysfunctional, draining and seemingly indestructible Clinton dynasty, Barry has had...

NEW YORK — President Barack Obama sought to take advantage Monday of the fundraising prowess of former President Bill Clinton, the most reliable deliverer of Democratic dollars, despite their history of testy relations and differences on campaign tactics. Tied with his likely Republican challenger in the polls and facing a summer of economic uncertainty that could pull the United States back toward recession, Obama needs the help. Obama campaign bundler and billionaire investor Marc Lasry was holding an exclusive reception Monday night, followed by a gala at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel. The evening was to conclude with an event dubbed “Barack...

The cover of this week’s GLOBE reveals that "Bill and Hillary – The Final Split." Globe has the shocking details of how Hillary is moving in with a woman. Over the past several years there have been rumours that the Clinton marriage was in name only and in fact they were essentially leading separate lives. In detail, GLOBE claims that Hillary, 64, who was recently in South America for the Sixth Summit of the Americas, made the most of the country’s nightlife at Café Havana. She was at the salsa hotspot, and Hilary was seen dancing with her hands in...

Colleen Mathis impeached by Jan Brewer, Arizona SenateBy ALEX ISENSTADT Updated: 11/2/11 1:34 PM EDT Arizona’s redistricting process dissolved into chaos Tuesday night after state lawmakers voted to impeach the top official on the independent commission tasked with crafting the state’s congressional districts, throwing the once-in-a-decade line-drawing into legal limbo. Jan Brewer, who made a forceful push encouraging GOP lawmakers, who control the Senate, to impeach. **SNIP** Brewer argued...

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Former President Bill Clinton rallied the Democratic faithful in New England on Sunday, urging them to support his longtime friend and U.S. Senate candidate Richard Blumenthal in Connecticut and persuade their neighbors not to give in to their anger toward the economy and incumbents. He also made stops in Maine and Massachusetts, appearing with candidates for governor and other offices. In particular, the Privileges or Immunities Clause and the Due Process Clause. In short the court held that the...

Not much unexpected there. But along with the letter, Clinton has included a flyer from the DSCC that's bound to raise eyebrows. "DSCC funds go towards efforts to unseat far-right Republican senators like admitted sinner David Vitter..." the flyer says, referring to the Louisiana senator who admitted patronizing a prostitution service...
