"They say not to feed the trolls. But we knew that."

I got a real bad feeling the 2nd Civil War may be coming soon. While the (1% millionaires and billionaires) continue to print Trillions of dollars and run off at the mouth on the radio and television while continuing to run the world by establishing themselves as the “FEW WHO CONTROL THE MASSES) it has all the elements for a bad outcome. As a conservative who has given much thought to what all is going on, it has become abundantly all too clear that the objective of the 1% Democrats and Republicans who are OWNED and DIRECTED by HUGE CORPORATIONS...

Republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman will announce the endorsement of former U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Gov. Tom Ridge Friday in an event at St. Anselm College in Goffstown. Ridge, a former governor of Pennsylvania, plans to attend a press conference with Huntsman at the college’s New Hampshire Institute for Politics. In a statement by the Huntsman campaign, Ridge said Thursday that Huntsman is “a serious, insightful leader.” Huntsman, 51, a former Utah governor and ambassador to China, said he’ll be counting on Ridge for help and counsel.

BS"D The sensationalist "Neda" video, which has been used to promote the idea that there is actually an organized revolution in Iran against the Communist ruling power (as if such a thing could be organized, with Communist cadre everywhere to prevent it), was faked. The video was intended for emotional impact, to convince gullible Westerners that the phony Iranian "democracy" movement is genuine. It is a typical Communist deception tactic to further their global objective. Click the article link to read about it.

The American Republic is 226 years old. The Roman Empire lasted 13 centuries before collapsing. The Roman emperors attempted to stave off the collapse by providing bread and circuses to the masses. Feeding Christians to lions worked only for so long. I picture Caligula “Mad Money” Cramer exhorting the masses that the worst was over and not to worry about the Vandals and the Huns. Nero “Mustard Seed” Kudlow probably saw a recovery on the horizon as Barbarians were at the gates of the city. Cleopatra “Money Honey” Bartiromo was proclaiming that the stupid masses didn’t know what was best...

Excuse me for bursting into the amen corner, but as an ardent conservative who warned everyone about McCain’s weaknesses and his haughty personality, you are seeing it play out in spades.

Firstly - apologies for this not being a news story but I really wanted to ask this question! As you know, in the UK we have universal healthcare. A couple of weeks ago I had an interesting conversation with a conservative American tourist outside Buckingham palace (we were both spectators at the London Marathon event). I was telling him about a hospital visit I had had recently and he replied that he had originally been opposed to socialised healthcare - until he suffered from chest pains at Heathrow, an ambulance arrived within six minutes. Basically what I wanted to ask...

BAGHDAD - Iraq's government moved Sunday to restore discipline within the ranks of the security forces, sacking more than 1,300 soldiers and policemen who deserted during recent fighting against Shiite militias in Basra. At the same time, Iraq's Cabinet ratcheted up the pressure on anti-American Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr by approving draft legislation barring political parties with militias from participating in upcoming provincial elections.

I have recently joined "The Daily Kos". I have done so to pursue honest, reasonable, and rational debate. I have started posting on the site and became aware of an interesting and disgusting policy on. The troll policy is described as follows in the FAQ: "Dealing with trolls Trolling is a sad reality of internet life. Most trolls tend to be blatant, posting comments or diaries that are clearly intended to provoke an angry response. Other trollish messages are posted simply to disrupt the conversation in a diary. Directly replying to the content of a trollish message is usually a...

Christian leaders should be more vocal about political issues and about how we should vote and who we should support. We can have a huge impact on the world when we ban together and put people in power that support our values. The days are long gone when we are relegated to the back of the political bus. We are in power and we will remain in power. We are marching proudly with God on our side. May the left burn in hell.

Graham, McCain continue to stand for what is right THIS NEWSPAPER did not endorse Lindsey Graham in 2002, but he keeps giving us reasons to be quite proud that he represents our state in the U.S. Senate. On Oct. 7, we praised Sen. Graham for being among those who led the Senate to vote, 90-9, to reassert essential American values in the way we treat prisoners in wartime. Later that month, he was one of seven Republican senators who tried to inject at least a little sanity into the federal budget by trimming out $125 billion worth of mostly ill-considered...

First of all I "middle of the road" I dont blame the president for katrina, I believe in gun ownership, I think you should drive what ever you want, and I hold people responsible for actions they take. I also believe in a womans right to choose, we should do all we can to protect the enviroment and helping the poor. I was banned for nothing more than people who do not want to face facts, crying to moderators. I have read this forum many times, some things I agree with and some I dont. But I just saw how...

I just became a member after lurking since before the Bush-Gore race. This is my first attempt at posting so be gentle. I am so angry at Brian Williams it forced me to finally sign up!! He actually ended his evening news with a story of how the local news media has banded together..they are in hot offices with no running water etc..he then said "they pray together"... something..something..then said " they complain about the president together" No media bias there huh??? My wife said she doubted they prayed to the same entity we do! Well anyway it made me...

You folks would consider me a liberal, and I am not embarrassed at the label. I certainly believe in a safety net for society and helping minorites who otherwise would not be given opportunities. I had heard about FreeRepublic and expected this site to be a sinister plotting device for crazed right wing freaks. It's really not that at all. It is mostly a chatty mix of simplicities and Bush hero worship. It's actually rather timid here, you might even say banal. I guess it's the sort of intellectually challenged place that you would expect from red state denizens who...

Some of my friends, family members, and co-workers wonder how I could be a political liberal in the midst of this new swell of conservatism the United States. The answers to that are all too simple. I am a liberal because the system originated by liberals called Social Security has made my parents' retirement more possible and comfortable than it would otherwise have been. I am a liberal because the system originated by liberals called Medicare paid for my mother to have two knees and a hip replaced at a cost that otherwise could not have been born by all...
