There's so much bad news in the world now, especially for folk on our side of the political spectrum. So it's important to take a few minutes now and then to realise that it is not ALL doom and gloom out there.

I suppose that this is a vanity, but I feel compelled to recommend a wonderful movie I saw last night -- The Mighty Macs. A trailer is here: The Mighty Macs. For a long time liberals in the media have been crowing that the Conservative movement has lost its way and needs "a new direction". I don't see what was wrong with our old one. I believe in the free market, competition, and entrepreneurship. I believe no small number of government programs don't work as advertised (or just don't work!) I believe this country would be a better place if we had fewer lawyers and more engineers....
