According to CNN's Jake Tapper, Donald Trump is currently living inside Barack Obama's head, constantly uppermost in his thoughts, no matter the situation. And in this case the situation was the press conference yesterday at the North American Leaders Conference in Ottawa, Canada. During CNN's The Lead, Wednesday, Tapper explained:

House Speaker Paul Ryan on Thursday said he's voting for presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump. In an op-ed for the Janesville Gazette of Janesville, Wisconsin, Ryan -- who sparked a political firestorm last month when he told CNN's Jake Tapper he was "just not ready" to back his party's nominee -- says he is now convinced Trump will advance the Republican agenda. "I feel confident he would help us turn the ideas in this agenda into laws to help improve people's lives. That's why I'll be voting for him this fall," Ryan wrote. He added, "It's no secret that he...

It looks like we might want to pay attention to provocateur Jake Tapper and State of the Union tomorrow as he interviews Bernie Sanders. In a recently released snippet from the interview Bernie goes full wolverine on the DNC and specifically DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. When Tapper thought he would corner Sanders about an openly pro-Sanders Schultz primary opponent, Senator Sanders didnít flinch and said he fully supports her challenger. However, Bernie didnít stop there. He said if he wins the nomination Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will be removed from the DNC.

The most entertaining part of CNN's State Of The Union is often the tail end when†host Jake Tapper presents cartoons he has drawn to illustrate stories in the news. And today he did not disappoint with an interesting angle on the death of Prince, namely the Tipper Gore connection. He reminded us via illustrations†that Tipper Gore's once notorious Parents Music Research Center came about in reaction to Tipper and her daughter listening to a Prince album.†

Drive around outside at around daybreak and it is not an unusual sight to see men leaning against the outside walls of convenience stores chugging from cans wrapped in brown bags. Most often the brew of choice among such men is Colt 45 malt liquor. However, don't be too surprised if among such early morning Colt 45 fans, you spot Jake Tapper, host of CNN's The Lead, taking a chug from this brew and, perhaps, handing it off to his colleague, Wolf Blitzer. Such a speculation is not totally off the convenience store wall since Tapper seems to have embraced...

Sunday on CNNís ďState of the Union,Ē after an extensive questioning from host Jake Tapper on the recent protests and violence at his rallies, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he was not encouraging violence and accused CNN of misreporting. Partial transcript as follows: TAPPER: Now, protests on the campaign trail are obviously nothing new. I have seen one in every previous election I have covered, but in every one I have seen before the leader on the stage tries to lower the temperature, not raise it. Do you ever consider whether you should be trying to lower the temperature...

Republican frontrunner Donald Trump threatened Sunday to send his supporters to infiltrate the campaign rallies of Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders, whom Trump continued to insist was behind disruptions at his events. ďBernie Sanders is lying when he says his disruptors aren't told to go to my events,Ē Trump said on Twitter. ďBe careful Bernie, or my supporters will go to yours!Ē

Donald Trump brought a surprise to Thursday night's debateóan endorsement from former presidential rival Ben Carson. The New York billionaire was asked by moderator Jake Tapper what his specific issues were with Common Core when he pivoted to his endorsement. ďI was with Dr. Carson today, whoís endorsing me by the way tomorrow morning, and we spoke for over an hour on education,Ē Trump said. ďHe wants a lot of different things that are terrific.Ē ďIím gonna have Ben very much involved with education,Ē Trump said.

At Thursday nightís Republican debate, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), John Kasich, and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) all parroted talking points about trade that do not seem to match their prior legislative records and statements on the critical issue. While Donald Trump has articulated his vociferous opposition to President Barack Obamaís trade agenda in practically every GOP debate, tonight marked the first debate in which all of the other candidates were asked about their previous support for trade globalism. ... Jake Tapper then asked Cruz: ďYou were a supporter of the Pacific trade deal [TPP], but after taking some heat from...

Marco Rubio had a rough Super Tuesday until the end of the night, at least in the W column, and in two interviews he got pressed on whether he had a realistic chance of prevailing for the Republican nomination. After having come in a close second in Virginia, where Rubio had hoped to perhaps score an upset victory, and falling off the pace elsewhere, Jake Tapper had a question for Rubio. "Is there a certain amount of denial that you're in?"(VIDEO-AT-LINK)Rubio makes the argument (shown in brief here) that this Super Tuesday isn't about wins and losses but simply tallying...

A super PAC supporting Republican Marco Rubio's presidential campaign released a new commercial Monday that slams Donald Trump for his refusal to disavow ex-Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke during a weekend television interview. The ad from the Conservative Solutions PAC opens with CNN's Jake Tapper describing how he asked Trump three times whether he would reject the support of Duke and the KKK. The ad then cuts to Trump, saying, "Well, I have to look at the group."

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Everybody is stunned over Trump. Nobody understands how Trump is still breathing. Nobody understands how Trump's still pulling this off. You wouldn't believe the theories that I've received from people sending me notes telling me what they think is really going on. And I guess the latest brouhaha with Trump is, he was on CNN with Jake Tapper yesterday, and he tried to act like he didn't know who David Duke was, and he would not denounce David Duke nor would he denounce the Ku Klux Klan. Yet he had done so on previous occasions. He used...

If you cover media and particularly cable news long enough, you realize certain on-air folks check off certain boxes. Example: CNNís Jake Tapper is one of the few hosts out there who checks off the objectivity box. Myopic liberals accuse him of being a secret conservative, myopic conservatives accuse him of cow-towing to liberals. Those with some level of lucidity see Tapper as simply a curious journalist who asks probing questions regardless of political party/alliance of the interviewee. Others who check off this box are Foxís Chris Wallace and NBCís Lester Holt. Another box in the broadcast news business is...

CNN anchor Jake Tapper repeatedly asked Donald Trump on Sunday to denounce David Duke's support for his candidacy, but Trump insisted he didn't know anything about about the former KKK grand wizard. "Will you unequivocally condemn David Duke and say that you don't want his vote and that of other white supremacists in this election?" Tapper asked Trump on "State of the Union." But Trump, the Republican presidential frontrunner, said he didn't have enough information to answer the question: I don't know anything about David Duke, OK? I don't know anything about what you're even talking about with white supremacy...

Ted Cruz said late Thursday that rival Marco Rubio would make a better president than Republican front-runner Donald Trump. "Marco is not my enemy, Marco and I are friends. Marco and I would both make a much better candidate and a much better president than would Donald," Cruz told CNN's Jake Tapper after Thursday's Republican debate. "I like Donald personally. He's a charming guy, although he can turn on you in an instant," Cruz continued.

Some of the mocking press coverage of Donald Trump is so over the top that it is a surprise that there has been so little criticism of the absurd antics of such media outlets as the New York Daily News and the Huffington Post. Fortunately there is one bright light to counter this absurdity in the form of Jake Tapper of CNN. Tapper expressed his criticism in an interview published yesterday in The Wrap.
