Have A Happy FReeping New Year

Since my registration on this site, January 15, 2004, I look forward to the New Year and my fifth anniversary with the finest "Red Staters" across the globe. It is this place that exhibits more generosity than every country combined. There is no finer place on the Internet. Never forget it is the coupe de grace of the coupe de tat. I have said it before and I’ll say it again, "Free Republic has some of the finest minds I’ll ever know." There is no better example of generosity and kindness than Free Republic. Since it’s founding, Jim Robinson has...

I'm Donating To Free Republic Today as one Xmas Gift To My Children

I worry about our freedoms and I worry about my children's future. Free Republic and its members form an important voice for liberty and have become an important depository of information and communication that I view as vital to keeping our citizens and my children free. Tonight I will be making a sizable donation online and I suggest you consider giving something, any amount, to keep this beacon shinning. Thank you Jim Robinson for your courage, tenacity, and values.

Free Republic Founder Joins Boycott Of CPAC

The founder of the website "Free Republic", Jim Robinson, has joined a growing boycott of the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) due to a homosexual activist group sponsoring the event. GOProud, a group that advocates same-sex "marriage," a repeal of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy, and "expanding access to domestic partner benefits" for homosexuals, is listed as a sponsor of the event at CPAC's website.

Let's face it FRiends, if the unconstitutional healthcare bill passes, the socialist coup d'etat will have advanced well beyond the point of no return! There is nothing in the constitution that authorizes this illegal federal power-grab and plenty that forbids it. If the Obama/Reid/Pelosi Marxist attempted coup pulls this off without the people resisting to the hilt, then they'll have no restrictions whatsoever on implementing the rest of their Liberty killing Marxist agenda. America will be no more. The whole idea of our constitution is to severely restrict the federal government to only its dozen and a half expressly listed...

Possibly appearing on soon on LGF 1.0 -- More Right Wing Fringe Websites call for Revolution

I went dumpster diving out back behind the “Lizard Lounge” over at 1.0 and found this apparent rough draft of a post Charles might be planning. Looks like he’s discovered yet more dangerous right wing extremists who are planning a revolution. (By the way, folks, this is satire.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Following up on my post from yesterday that outed Jim Thompson, the founder of the right wing website Free Republic, for calling for a revolution to overturn the results of last November’s election, it seems the kook right wing fringe blogosphere’s case of Obama Derangement Syndrome is getting even worse.
<p>Jim Robinson, founder of right wing website Free Republic, has decided he’s going to toss out the results of the last election, remove Barack Obama from office, repeal the 16th and 17th amendments to the US Constitution (and Roe v.
I went to visit Sen. Arlen Specter to save him from an embarrassing pro-stimulus vote that will damage America's economy and send the nation back to 1970s-style stagflation. Jim Robinson, founder of FreeRepublic.com, and I arrived at Sen. Specter's office with a group of folks who oppose the $1.5 trillion stimulus package, on this past Monday morning. We asked to see Sen. Specter. The office secretary didn't seem to be happy to see us. I could not blame her. We were there to embarrass her boss. Jim, wearing his Navy cap, asked about the senator's whereabouts, but the secretary wasn't...

Pioneer Behind Grass-Roots Conservative Web Site Gets Ready to Do Battle Again (Free Republic)

Why I'm reversing course on John McCain

Governor Sarah Palin! Or, actually, what she signifies. We've often stated on FR that if the Republicans would only run true conservatives then we'd win more elections. We'd keep the White House, build conservative majorities in congress, replace liberal activist judges with original intent constitutionalists, and eventually overturn Roe v Wade and begin rolling back some of the damage inflicted upon our beloved republic by the socialists and liberals. John McCain's bold choice of the unabashed pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-liberty, small government, strong defense, fiscal conservative, Sarah Palin, signifies a return to conservatism within the Republican Party. And the...

The infection on Jim's right ankle flared up again about three weeks ago. They tried treating it with antibiotics but they had no effect. When Jim went in on Wednesday for followup visit and possibly a new prescription, they admitted him for tests and intravenous antibiotics. He was told that he would be there until at least Monday. They are not anticipating more surgery at this time.
