MILWAUKEE (CN) - Dollar General fired a man convicted of possessing graphic child pornography, only to have Wisconsin officials upbraid it for discrimination, the store claims in court. The Vonnegutian tale appears in a petition filed Thursday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court by Dolgen, the parent company of a Dollar General on South 27th Street that hired Michael Ionetz as its manager in May 2010. One month on the job, Ionetz was charged with 22 counts of child pornography, Dolgen says. The company's complaint gives a sickening account of the data that the state claimed to have found on Ionetz's...

The arrest of an Albuquerque political consultant on child pornography charges stemmed from a search warrant served on his home in November by FBI agents looking for evidence in the investigation of the alleged theft of Gov. Susana Martinez’s campaign emails. The home of Jason Loera, 44, in the 6200 block of St. Joseph’s Court NW, initially was searched on the morning of Nov. 20, 2012, by agents looking to seize Loera’s computers so they could be searched for information about hundreds of emails to that federal prosecutors allege were illegally intercepted. Pfc. Naser Abdo, a 21-year-old infantry soldier, applied for the status last year after he decided Islamic standards would prohibit his service in the U.S. Army in any war. The Deputy Assistant Secretary, Army Review Boards Agency, recommended he be separated from the Army as a conscientious objector. But the discharge is delayed until the criminal charge is resolved.

It sure is. I can certainly think of some lessons we might draw. One might be: Maybe the cops should check to see if a suspect’s wireless network is secure, and therefore that they have the right guy, before they break into his home and point their guns at his head. Another lesson: Maybe it’s not such a good idea to send the SWAT team after someone suspected...

Should children who snap racy photos on their cellphones and send them out to their friends be punished as child-pornography distributors or sex offenders? No, a Florida Senate panel said Monday. At least, not the first time they get caught. For the second consecutive year, the state Legislature has taken on “sexting,” the practice of sending sexually explicit text messages, photos or videos, usually via cellphone. Faced with mounting foreign and domestic pressure, Japan’s government has been forced to rethink how to handle the country’s huge market in child pornography, raising hopes for an overdue ban on possession. While it is illegal to produce or distribute child pornography in Japan, possessing it is not – an anomaly Japan shares with only one other G8 nation, Russia. The release last month of national police agency figures showing a dramatic rise in the number of known child pornography cases coincides with new calls for the government to take action. Visual depictions of children engaged in sexual activity - child pornography or "kiddie porn" -- is considered abhorrent in most world cultures. That didn't stop the ruling Democratic Party of Japan from refusing to support legislation that would outlaw the possession of child pornography. The party has denied the legislation on the grounds that it would infringe individuals' freedom of expression. LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - To counter this, Japanese authorities say there has been a stepped-up police campaign against people that sell sexual images of children.

Liberals love pedophiles, because they must do so to keep their own belief system intact. Consider the bizarre case just this week of thirty-four year old Phillip Distasio. Distasio runs a ''school'' called Class Cutters near Cleveland Ohio. The goal of the school is to somehow counter the ''No Child Left Behind Act'' by getting kids to rush through a few academic excercises each day on the computer and then to spend the majority of the time performing some sort of ''community service.'' It seems to be set-up to help the child find ''productive'' use of their time during after-school...

A federal grand jury has indicted former "American Idol" contestant Daniel James "DJ" Boyd on child pornography charges, accusing him of videotaping sexual encounters with teenage girls. The federal indictment was unsealed Tuesday against Boyd, 27, who was a semi-finalist on the popular TV show in 2004. He is charged with production of child pornography and possession of child pornography. The federal case stems from Boyd's arrest in West Valley City last month. He is accused of having sex with two girls, ages 14 and 15. Some of those sexual encounters, prosecutors claim, were videotaped. West Valley City police said...

UNC-Wilmington has a new scandal on its hands that may well cause supporters of the diversity movement to seriously rethink their position on moral relativism – the underlying philosophy of the diversity movement. Perhaps it is more accurate to say that some will begin to seriously think about their commitment to relativism for the first time. The current controversy began when library staff noticed that a number of visitors to the library have been viewing pornography on the library's computers. The controversy gained momentum when one witness reported seeing someone viewing child pornography. The response of various UNCW administrators may...

The Supreme Court yesterday ruled in favor of police who obtained a search warrant for a man's home in anticipation that he would accept mail delivery of child pornography he ordered as part of a sting operation. The unanimous ruling in the case United States v. Grubbs, said such "anticipatory" warrants obtained by police do not violate the Fourth Amendment rights protecting individuals from unlawful searches and seizures. Writing for the court, Justice Antonin Scalia said police can obtain such a warrant prior to the actual commission of a crime as long as they have probable cause to believe an...

This coming Christmas' Must-Have Stocking Stuffer for the Republicans on Your List.I SOMETIMES WISH I COULD BE A DEMOCRAT ONCE MORE . It was a good party in its time, it had nice ideals once, and, to tell the truth, I'm not at all easy being labeled as a Republican especially since I'm not. At the same time, I have to admit it is just too embarrassing these days to be a Democrat. It's not so much that they are wrong. Sometimes they are not wrong. It is not so much that so many of them are demented by the...

After another Capitol defeat for GOP on sex offender bill, S.F. assemblyman's alternative draws fiery attacks nationwide. Sacramento -- Bill O'Reilly hasn't suggested blowing up Assemblyman Mark Leno like he did Coit Tower -- at least not yet. A partisan brawl in Sacramento over cracking down on sex offenders has spawned a conservative attack, notable for its vitriol, on the San Francisco lawmaker. Leno, author of an alternative to a "Jessica's Law" ballot initiative backed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, has been called a danger to society and a friend of child pornography during the past week. It was also suggested...
