Raising Girls to HuntIf you are a hunter and think that merchandisers and marketers are getting girly lately, you would be right. In recent years the fastest growing demographic of hunters are actually huntresses women who head afield to put food on the table. This is no surprise to myself or those in my hunting camp. We have known for years that there would be a trend towards more women chasing game. Fifteen years ago my hunting partner, Chad Hurst, called one day to announced the birth of he and his wifes first child, Brittany. Right away I began...

Sheriff's deputies on Saturday arrested a 30-year-old man who will be charged with capital murder in connection with the shooting death of a deputy at a suburban Houston gas station, a killing the sheriff tied to anger against police. Shannon Miles was picked up for questioning early on Saturday following the Friday night shooting, which was captured on surveillance video, Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman told reporters. He noted that Miles is black and has a history of prior arrests for trespassing and resisting arrest. Earlier on Saturday, Hickman had linked the shooting of deputy Darren Goforth, who was white,...

Martin O'Malley recently laid claim to the title of America’s Biggest Wuss when he apologized for suggesting that all lives matter and not just black ones. What he might have pointed out to the black thugs booing his comment was that black lives apparently only have value when they’re ended by cops. They certainly don’t seem to matter, judging by the response of race pimps like Barack Obama, Al Sharpton and Marilyn Mosby, when it comes to the thousands of black people shot and killed by other black people or to the hundreds of thousands of black babies aborted every...

No good deed goes unpunished. The truth of that adage was confirmed in spades last week when a Montana couple, Jason and Tara Shane, described as Good Samaritans for helping a stranded young, Mexican motorist were shot and killed for their effort. Their daughter, Jorah Shane, 26, was wounded. Jesus Deniz Mendoza, 18, a Mexican national who entered the United States legally two years ago, shot the Shanes when they stopped to assist with a broken-down car. Shortly after the shooting, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement indicated that Mendoza had legally entered the country from Mexico through the San Ysidro...

Did the extreme amount of attention southern politicians gave to the Charleston killer cause the recent Chattanooga killings? Was the Chattanooga killer hoping for the same amount of attention the Charleston killer received? The timing of the Chattanooga killings could be a coincidence but such killings are not that common and two of them have occurred in southern states within a month of each other. They occurred in the same time period as the trial of the Colorado theater killer with its national publicity. I didnt catch the mans name, but a recent newscast included a comment by the relative...

Why was Walter Scott running away from a policeman who tried to stop him for a broken taillight? The media are trying to make a South Carolina policeman's killing of a black man, Walter Scott, another sensational case of racism, but the media have missed the point of the tragedy. The problem wasn't racism, or even dangerous driving or stolen property. It was caused by the obnoxious anti-father rulings of the family courts and Scott's fear that he would be returned to debtor's prison. Scott had already been jailed three times for failure to pay child support, and he didn't...

I can't confirm this yet, but we've already seen stories in the mainstream media that claim that the Arab teen who was killed in the Jerusalem Forest overnight may have been murdered by family members. What the mainstream media is not telling you (as those who read Hebrew can see from the story above), is that the teen may have been the victim of an honor killing because he was gay. Our rulingThe post uses data selectively, ignoring the significant role of handguns in gun violence. But the statistics it mentions are solid. FBI data backs up the Facebook post’s claim that in 2011, more people were murdered with knives, “hands or feet” or “clubs and hammers” than with any type of rifle. We rate the statement True. A US senator has accused the Obama administration and the Justice Department for not being adequately forthcoming with information on the targeting and potential killing of Americans suspected of terrorism. Ron Wyden, the Democratic senator from Oregon and a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, wrote an open letter to John Brennan, the frontrunner for the post of Director of the CIA, asking Brennan to provide Congress with the secret legal opinions defining the governments capacity to pursue and kill US citizens suspected of involvement in terrorist activities. Members of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence by law...

Federal agents charged four Georgia men they say are part of a fringe militia group with plotting to attack government officials with explosives and the biotoxin ricin, prosecutors in Atlanta announced Tuesday. A government informant recorded the men discussing plans to manufacture ricin, a highly poisonous substance derived from castor beans, and attack Justice Department officials, federal judges and Internal Revenue Service agents, according to court papers released Tuesday afternoon. Prosecutors said the public was never in imminent danger. All four suspects were in custody and are scheduled to make their initial court appearances Wednesday in Gainesville, about 50 miles...

An evergreen bill imposing life imprisonment on gays is arguably nothing more than an ugly diversion in the hands of politicians eager to avoid real problems, writes Jocelyn Edwards. Rebecca Kadaga, Ugandas speaker of parliament, broke her pledge to pass the countrys infamous anti-gay bill before the years end on Friday, as the lawmakers in the small East African nation broke for the holidays without debating the legislation. And so, a population found in one survey to be 96 percent opposed to homosexuality wont get the odious Christmas gift she had promised. But for the government, however, that hardly matters....
