Do you think Fox News is the only network that wants the Obama administration to come clean on its numerous scandals? Think again. Here are five non-Fox News journalists who are demanding answers. 1. Sharyl Attkisson Sharyl Attkisson, an award-winning investigative journalist, used to work at CBS News. When she used her talents to spotlight idiosyncrasies in the Obama administration, Attkisson claims, the network showed little interest. After being unable to pursue the "Obamacare," Fast and Furious and Benghazi scandals at the network, Attkisson chose to resign in March. In an April 20 interview with CNN's "Reliable Sources," she accused...

Is Lara Logan returning to 60 Minutes? The reporter has been on a leave of absence since November, a month after the CBS News program aired her report about the 2012 attack of the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that turned out to be, in her words, "wrong." NEW YORK — CBS ordered "60 Minutes" correspondent Lara Logan and her producer to take a leave of absence Tuesday following a critical internal review of their handling of the show's October story on the Benghazi raid, based on a report on a supposed witness whose story can't be verified. The review, by CBS News executive Al Ortiz and obtained by The Associated Press, said the "60 Minutes" team should have done a better job vetting the story that featured a security contractor who said he was at the U.S. mission in Libya the night it was attacked last year

How often do outfits like The New York Times, Salon, Politco, HuffPo, NPR and Media Matters gang up on a fellow pinko like CBS? Well, it’s happening big-time and was recently explained by disgraced and fired (during Rathergate) CBS producer Mary Mapes, "my concern is that the (Lara Logan’s 60 Minutes Benghazi) story was done very pointedly to appeal to a more conservative audience's beliefs about what happened at Benghazi." In other words, if (like 99 per cent of 60 Minutes pieces) Logan’s story had been done to appeal to fellow pinkos, all would be cool. Logan’s Benghazi story, as...

She also urged the administration to avenge the murders of four Americans in Libya, and declared that Islamist terrorists want to destroy the West and the American way of life. Lara Logan confirms what I have been warning of since the launch of Obama's pro-jihad, pro-Taliban foreign policy. The sanction of the savage does not make them more human, it only denigrates us and chips away at our morality and our reverence for life and liberty. Lara Logan's remarks to an influential group of "1,100 movers in government, politics, media, and the legal and corporate arenas" is not news to Atlas readers but is an eyeopener to those drinking Obama's and the enemedia's kool-aid. her eyes are wide open to the situation. Things got very, very uncomfortable today over at The View thanks to an appearance by Bill Maher. Last February on Real Time, Maher had made a joke that, were Hosni Mubarak to release the then-captured Lara Logan, they could trade him Elizabeth Hasselbeck. At the time, Hasselbeck had been furious, starting a mini feud that an unrepentant Maher seemed to have no interest in fighting. That dynamic was continued all these months later as Hasselbeck was still very, very upset and Maher was still very, very uninterested in fighting her. Hasselbeck was clearly ready to go at it from the...

When Lara Logan traveled to Egypt to cover the Tahrir Square protests, she was unaware that she was going to be working in a country where sexual harassment rates of women and especially foreign women are so high as to be universal. The difference between the typical militant "Muslim" and Bernard Cornwell's villain Obadiah Hakeswill--a liar, thief, rapist, and murderer who also uses his authority to get innocent soldiers flogged--consists solely of the fact that Hakeswill is a fictional character. The news that 60 Minutes journalist Lara Logan had been brutally sexually assaulted and beaten in Egypt among chants of “Jew” really hit home. A left-wing journalist has quit his fellowship at New York University after graphically and profanely joking online about Lara Logan, the CBS News reporter brutally sexually assaulted Friday during coverage of celebrations in Cairo following Hosni Mubarak's resignation. Nir Rosen, who has contributed to Time, Atlantic Monthly, the Washington Post, New York Times Magazine and Harper's, resigned from the university's Center on Law and Security after trashing Logan publicly on Twitter. Logan, a "60 Minutes" correspondent, suffered a "brutal and sustained sexual assault by a mob of men while covering the Egyptian uprising," CBS News said. She was rescued by...

Okay, I'd like to know where all of the feminists are? Shouldn't they be standing up and demanding answers regarding the suspicious death of Ashley Turton and the gang rape of Lara Logan? If Bush had been in office, both of these stories would be all over the MSM - and the feminists would be screaming their heads off! For the record, I feel terrible for happened to both of these women. If you are going to post a comment on here that "It's Lara's fault for being in Egypt", then just get lost.

Yesterday, I wrote a blog post on Nir Rosen, a fellow at NYU’s Center for Law and Security, and his outlandish comments he made of the sexual assault of CBS correspondent Lara Logan on Twitter- which I posted on Big Government as well. Jim Geraghty from National Review and Steve Nelson at the Daily Caller did the same. This statement was just received from NYU: From Karen J. Greenberg, Executive Director, Center on Law and Security Nir Rosen is always provocative, but he crossed the line yesterday with his comments about Lara Logan. I am deeply distressed by what he...

Be careful what you say, especially in the heat of the moment, on Twitter. As you may recall, immediately following the shootings in Tucson last month, some liberals were quick to blame Sarah Palin for the tragedy. Now, a liberal journalist is taking heat for offensive Tweets he sent immediately following news of the brutal sexual assault suffered by CBS reporter Lara Logan in Egypt. As the news was breaking, Nir Rosen, a journalist and NYU fellow, Tweeted several disturbing remarks, including: "Jesus Christ, at a moment when she is going to become a martyr and glorified we should at...

CBS reporter Lara Logan is vowing to return to work ... and she's telling friends what happened to her in Egypt will not destroy her. Sources familiar with the situation tell us the details of Logan's assault are horrible -- but Lara is back with her kids and is vowing to go back to work within weeks.

As Mary Elizabeth Williams wrote earlier this evening over at Salon, several reporters and bloggers have “decided to hinge the story” of Lara Logan’s rape “on the blond reporter’s looks.” Simone Wilson’s LA Weekly post mocks Logan’s beauty, saying, “Egyptian protesters apparently consummated their newfound independence by sexually assaulting the blonde reporter.” Consummated? Unconscionable. The Mofo Politics blog featured a post on February 3rd, saying, “OMG if I were her captors and there were no sanctions for doing so? I would totally rape her.”

Lara Logan is not the first journalist to be brutally attacked sexually and certainly not the first to be beaten. In Egypt's recent attempt for freedom, at least 140 journalist (men and women) were injured or killed. Silence for the way journalists have been treated in the past to the present in countries such as Egypt is deafening.

Nir Rosen is always provocative, but he crossed the line yesterday with his comments about Lara Logan. I am deeply distressed by what he wrote about Ms. Logan and strongly denounce his comments. They were cruel and insensitive and completely unacceptable. Mr. Rosen tells me that he misunderstood the severity of the attack on her in Cairo. He has apologized, withdrawn his remarks, and submitted his resignation as a fellow, which I have accepted. However, this in no way compensates for the harm his comments have inflicted. We are all horrified by what happened to Ms. Logan, and our thoughts are with her during this difficult time.
