HotAir has a must see video of Rudy Giuliani talking about the senselessness of non-binding resolutions and what's wrong with Washington from the Mayor's appearance on Lary King Live. In case you haven't seen him make this case in the last few days, this is must see viewing: http://hotair.com/archives/2007/02/14/video-rudy-on-non-binding-resolutions/?s=videoTranscript: GIULIANI: I mean, you can look at the practical and common sense conclusion on that anyway you want. But there's something more important than that. We have a right of free speech in this country and we elect people to make decisions. Here's what I would prefer to see them do,...

Last night CNN’s Larry King confessed to Roseanne Barr that he’s never used the Internet. King expressed doubt that the Internet was a viable political medium because “there’s 80 billion things on it.” When Barr said she liked the Internet, King acknowledged that “I’ve never done it, never gone searching.” Barr said King would love the internet if he tried it. King replied, “I wouldn’t love it. What do you punch little buttons and things?” Barr even offered to show King how to use the Internet. King declined. Watch it: Digg It! Transcript: LARRY KING: On your blog you write,...

Lang Xianping, professor of economics at Chinese University of Hong Kong, had his finance and economics talk show, "Larry Lang Live" on Shanghai Cable TV 1, suspended this past February. He now reveals that his show was suspended on account of his mentioning several times that the social security fund should not be diverted; this drew the attention of the corrupt forces in Shanghai. Chinese officials claim the reason for the show's suspension is that Lang's Mandarin is not standard. Before it was suspended, it had been on the air for one and a half years. Lang's sharp comments, along...

A Memorial for Steve Irwin was held today in his family owned zoo. The likes of Australian PM John Howard, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Cameron Diaz, The Wiggles, Larry King, Justin Timberlake, Hugh Jackman, Wes Mannion, Peter Beattie all spoke at the memorial. There were also moving tributes from his daughter Bindi, and dad, Bob. His daughter Bindi said her own tribute from a sheet of paper in front of an image of her dad. She said: "My daddy was my hero - he was always there for me when I needed him." "He listened to me and taught me...

(I had this piece written this morning when I caught Senator Hagel of Nebraska on CBS describing Israel’s efforts to stop the Hezbollah from killing them as a “slaughter”. I felt sick to my stomach that we have such a stupid and ignorant person as a Republican senator. Where has he been for the last 58 years, or is he an anti-Semite too? We already know that he is a copperhead.) We are being inundated with pictures and news features showing innocent women and children being killed by Israeli attacks in Lebanon, and we are moved to act to stop...

by Mark Finkelstein July 28, 2006 - 21:34 Imagine you're Larry King. You've landed the first interview with Floyd Landis, the winner of the Tour de France with a great feel-good story - until he flunked a drug test. What would be the first question you'd ask? OK, this is Larry King. Not known as the 'king' of the hardball, so to speak. So grant Larry a few warm-up questions to put Floyd at ease. But eventually, at some point, as painful as it might be, DON'T YOU HAVE TO ASK LANDIS IF HE CHEATED?? I mean, what the heck...

"CNN sources say the network is starting to search for gentle ways to tell talk-show host Larry King that his long run may be ending," the June issue of Washingtonian says. "Producers say King's performance on the show has grown increasingly befuddled. One example: An interview with Chris Lawford, son of JFK sister Patricia Kennedy Lawford and actor Peter Lawford, where King acknowledged that for a moment he thought he was interviewing Peter Lawford, who died in 1984. King noted that his guest had married into the Kennedys. 'I didn't marry into the family. My mother is a Kennedy,' Chris...

We couldn’t have made this up if we tried. Noted shock jock, quasi Liberal, and former Kerry supporter Don Imus is no friend of Hillary Clinton’s. At least he won’t be after she hears what he said about her on The Larry King show tonight. We don’t think Al Gore will keep him on the speed dial for much longer either. ....KING: And of course, Hillary. DON IMUS: Is Satan. KING: Satan? DEIRDRE IMUS: Stop it. Who’s making you say that? Bernard? DON IMUS: No. Nobody’s — she’s not as evil as Al Gore. That’s all I can — KING:...

Over the past few days, stories have been leaking out suggesting that Larry King is getting old and isn't putting out the same quality show he used to. Despite this, CNN seems to be throwing him under the bus, as neither Jon Klein nor anyone else at CNN has come to Larry's defense. This despite the fact that after Klein's gutting of CNN, Larry King Live is the only show left on CNN with ratings that aren't a total embarassment. Last night, under the headline "We Respect Larry", Hannity & Colmes wondered why Jon Klein and his CNN destroying staff...

March 17, 2006 -- Is Larry King getting too old? Without warning, a series of news reports have popped up this week questioning King's "frail" health, memory and value to CNN. The news network has been quick to call the reports bunk. They are even quicker to deny whispers that these stories are part of a campaign to push King, 72, out and replace him with a younger host. "Larry King Live" remains CNN's top-rated show - averaging 1 million viewers a night - and King still has three years to go on a deal paying him $7 million a...

It has become increasingly clear that Larry King's best days at CNN are behind him. Never known as a particularly deep interviewer, Mr. King at one time managed to land important politicians and newsmakers, giving his program some journalistic value. Today, though, the veteran host seems more interested in celebrities and crime, diminishing not only his own reputation and influence, but that of CNN as well. And it shows in the ratings. The veteran host has seen his audience decline substantially in recent years as viewers gravitate toward more aggressive programs such as Fox News's "Hannity & Colmes." Fewer than...

Michael Jackson is happy in his new life in the Middle East – and is doing 300 push-ups a day, according to his brother Jermaine. The superstar has been living a reclusive existence in Bahrain, where he is a guest of the king’s son, since leaving the US for the Gulf island after being cleared of child sex abuse charges last year. Jermaine Jackson told CNN’s Larry King Live his brother was “doing wonderful“. “He’s gained some weight,” Jackson said. “He’s happy and he’s running on the beach. I spoke to him. “He’s doing 300 push-ups a day and doing...

Dear Friend, Many of you have called, written or e-mailed regarding my recent appearance on Larry King Live. I appreciate your comments and value your words of correction and encouragement. It was never my desire or intention to leave any doubt as to what I believe and Whom I serve. I believe with all my heart that it is only through Christ that we have hope in eternal life. I regret and sincerely apologize that I was unclear on the very thing in which I have dedicated my life.

My God they are sleezy. CNN and Larry Seltzer just rolled our Anita Hill to speak about Judge ROberts.

I have been watching preachers on the Larry King show this week. The current preacher refuses to call sin sin. Larry King asked the current guest if homosexuals and those who have abortions sinners. "I don't know. I just don't go there." Incredible. A previous well-known guest a few days ago refused to call Islan evil. My Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which...

Dan Rather reiterated to CNN's Larry King on Thursday night that he believes the memos, in his National Guard hit piece on President Bush, were genuine. Rather emphasized how "the documents were part of a fairly wide array of information we had" and were "supported by all kind of things other than the documents." When King wondered, "so, are you saying the story might be correct?", Rather replied: "Well, I'm saying a prudent person might take that view." Rather pointed out how the investigatory panel named by CBS said that "the story was not born of any personal or political...
