NOTE: Gratuitous links that whine and beg for your precious disposable dollars have been trashed. Friend -- They've spent millions to fund climate change denial ... and they're just getting started. The Koch brothers and their allies just announced their plan to spend nearly $300 million this year to not only elect climate change deniers, but also to oppose President Obama's plan to curb carbon pollution from power plants. That's their game plan: spend as much as humanly possible to get their way. We're the ones who get to tell them that's not going to work this time -- our...

Charles and David Koch are one of the “main causes” of climate change, charged Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on the Senate floor. “While the Koch brothers admit to not being experts on the matter, these billionaire oil tycoons are certainly experts at contributing to climate change. That’s what they do very well. They are one of the main causes of this. Not a cause, one of the main causes,” Reid said. Now in his fifth month of flogging the billionaire conservative benefactors on the Senate floor, Reid dubbed them “multizillionaires” on Wednesday and mockingly applauded their spokeswoman for saying...

I stand by every word of it. And it’s even worse today. Of the thousands of Clinton presidential records released to the public last week, one among them has received of the bulk of attention: a 332-page memo from 1995. The memo, which offers an in-depth analysis of the right-wing media, describes how conservative conspiracy theories about the Clintons passed from the fringes to the mainstream. (...) Let’s go all the way back to the summer of 1995. At the time, my then colleague (and current business partner) Mark Fabiani and I were working at the White House as lawyers...

Returning to The View seven years after departing in an angry, liberal tirade, Rosie O'Donnell sat down with Barbara Walters and some of her former colleagues on Friday. Updating everyone on life since the show, she revealed that Parker, her now 18-year-old son, will be attending the Citadel. The 9/11 truther snapped, "...How do you annoy your left-wing liberal pacifist mother? You become a big military man." [See video below. MP3 audio here.] O'Donnell admitted she interrogated her son as to why he made such a decision and he responded, "Only in America, mom, could somebody like you who came from...

Tyler Talgo was fed up. For two years the University of Southern California student had listened to the classroom ranting of liberal professors. So it wasn’t much of a surprise when Darry Sragow, his political science professor, launched into an anti-Republican tirade on the first day of class. “I knew that this was going to be a professor that was very left-wing, very biased,” Talgo told Fox News. “I knew this would be one of those classes where the professor would be biased all the time.” So Talgo decided to fight back. “As soon as I got back to my...

Alec Baldwin has said plenty of outrageous things over his career when untethered from a movie script, or teleprompter. Now Mr. Baldwin has his own live radio talk show. This may prove to be a goldmine of Rorschach like material, in the brave new scientific frontiers of narcissism. The far left actor has aspirations of political office. No commercial that appeared last night during Super Bowl XLI directly addressed Iraq, unlike a patriotic spot for Budweiser beer that ran during the game two years ago. More than a dozen spots celebrated violence in an exaggerated, cartoonlike vein that was intended to be humorous, but often came across as cruel or callous.

March 16 is the first anniversary of Rachel Corrie's death. I want to thank Corrie for the explosives that flow freely from Egypt to Gaza, via the smuggling tunnels under the Gaza homes that she died defending. <p>Okay, so I thought that I could at least have civil debate with INTELLIGENT conservatives, but after posting under a different name, not only were the responses the equivellant of "UH-UH," but I was denied my rights as a citizen of this great country. It appears to me that Free Republic is not interested in FREE SPEECH! I do love the U.S., I just disagree with the jingoism that followed 9/11. I disagree with our leaders purposfully lying to their citizens in order to go to war. I disagree with going to war against the express directions of the UN which was made to council the nations on these issues. I disagree with the nation's presidency being stolen from the rightful owner, the man who truly won the election. I disagree with that stolen presidency being handed to a C average student who has a criminal record and went AWOL when he was supposed to be serving in the military. I disagree with corporations running the government in the new era of pay to play politics. I disagree with the same corporations that run the country, run the news media. I disagree with conservatives instead of listening to what a liberal has to say, they resort to attacking them with (sometimes) drastic immaturity. I disagree with using religion to get votes. I disagree with religion. I disagree with history being written by the victors. I disagree with with the USA PATRIOT Act not only because anyone can be detained for any reason for any amount of time without a trial with a jury of twelve peers. I disagree with the fact it is called the "Patriot Act" and yet there is nothing patriotic about it. I DO agree with the quote "If you are willing to sacrifice freedom for for security, you deserve neither." I disagree with the civilians in this country not standing up and calling for an impeachment for a president that has done far worse than getting a blow job in the oval office. He has LIED, CHEATED, AND MURDERED. I disagree with everyone being angry at Bill Clinton for smoking marijuana but no one criticizes George W. Bush for DRUNK DRIVING and COCAINE use. I disagree with George W. Bush saying in a nationally televised broadcast, "If you aren't with us, you're with the terrorists." This hurt the feelings of about 60% of New York citizens because they not only lost friends and family in the World Trade Center on 9/11, but they also opposed going to war with Iraq. You can imagine the deranged ultimatum this put on those poor Ameericans who had to choose between those who killed their friends and family and the their better judgment to wait for a UN resolution. I disagree with a $350 billion tax that goes directly to the 1% minority of the wealthy. I disagree with the "No Child Left Behind" policy. Standardized tests don't teach children anything but how to memorize test questions. As a teacher, I can only describe it as leaving every child behind. I disagree with arch conservatives on this website saying that I have AIDS because I am liberal and am into homosexual activites. To clear up your mislead statements of slander. I am heterosexual, I do not have AIDS. I have two healthy children that are beautiful and will be entering school in a year. I love my wife and my country. I don't agree with you...but that doesn't mean I hate you or your thoughts. I encourage them. But please stop reacting to someone that you disagree with in an angry passion of blind ignorance. we learned in the great debate over the Ronald Reagan TV miniseries is that many conservatives, including the chairman of the Republican National Committee, think you're stupid. Yes, you. And you. And everybody out there in TV Land. They think you can't tell the difference between James Brolin, who played Republican presidential candidate Robert Ritchie on "The West Wing," and Ronald Reagan, who was president of the United States for eight years. They believe you can't figure out that a mini- series starring the Australian actress Judy Davis as Nancy is not a documentary, but a "docudrama." Before CBS announced...

Is liberal media bias a myth?Pat Buchanan June 16, 2003 "What Liberal Media?" blared the monster headline atop the full-page ad in The New York Times. Its author was Eric Alterman of The Nation, who has a book out of the same title. There was a touch of irony in Alterman's choosing the Times to place an ad declaring liberal bias to be a "myth." For that paper has lately been embroiled in the greatest scandal in its history, the Jayson Blair affair, caused by its almost blind devotion to liberalism's god of "diversity" in the newsroom. And, as a...

So many people have been coerced into mistakenly believing that Bush is their savior. It is US against the Republicans AND a large segment of the American people. A 2004 election does not encourage me into thinking that the Democrats could upset Bush¡¦s wagon. After robbery in broad daylight of election 2000, the Democrats would have to force their way into the White House, even if they were elected in 2004. We hear about voting machines that can be rigged with no paper trail. Are the Democrats making a stink about this? No! In my opinion, the democrats will be...

RACISM:THE SOFT UNDERBELLY OF AMERICA By Dr Jonathan Farley Shortly after the Guardian published my essay on why blacks should fight against the war, someone e-mailed me.'Dear Swine,' he politely began, 'you will be exterminated.' The message was anonymously signed, 'An American.' The fact that the man's full name and address appeared in the e-mail header tells us two things about this war--namely that it is founded on both ignorance and racism. To stop the war we will need to counter both. I would like to suggest how. The first main myth about the American peace movement is that there...

Ms. Gougakis began ranting and raving about everything from Enron to impeachment to Al Gore, at one point breaking down in tears when the moderator tried to cut her off. Ms. Gougakis rambled: "We are the terrorists! I'm scared to live in this country. We have to start impeaching this president…What about Bush's relationship with Enron? This man is not a president. He's an idiot! An idiot! He's a deceitful person who stole the election of the United States…he is the first evil…a disgrace to our country. We must start installing the man I voted for, Al Gore."
