Companies like Bed, Bath, & Beyond, eager to give the impression that they actually 'care' about the environment, announce boycotts of our oil sands yet don't seem to have a problem taking that same oil-money at their cash registers from Albertan consumers. The enviroNazis don't bother with the truth - that just gets in the way of feel-good P.R. spin. The truth being, of course, that less than one-tenth of one percent of global emissions are a result of the oil sands.

The group Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) could very well be the most important organization in America right now. They face media and leftwing opposition at every turn, with cries of 'bigots' and 'racists' thrown at them on a regular basis, yet they continue to hold their ground and speak for the majority of Americans and other freedom-loving citizens throughout the free world. It's good to know some people learned what 9/11 means.

I intended this article to be my take on the topic du jour, namely the debate over the federal government's wish to do away with the intrusive 'long-form census' in favour of a voluntary 'short-form' version. In fact, I had engaged in several discussion threads on the subject. Those in support of the old forms filled with specific questions about race, religion, income, parenting skills, etc. argue that this information is needed by the feds in order to 'provide the proper level of services where required'. While pointing out the naivety of that statement is always tempting - electable issues...
  • What is New York's State of Mind?

New York has always held a sort of mystique to those from other places. Beyond the usual icons - the Statue of Liberty, Broadway, the Empire State building, etc. - is the feel, the attitude of those who call NY home. The resolve and the reaction in the face of the terror attacks of 9/11 only solidified that image. As the free world reeled from the shock, it was the people of New York who set the inspirational tone. How they reacted reminded us - and taught the Islamofascist murderers - that it would take a hell of a lot...

.....White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs found himself in hot water for his opinion that the Republicans could take the House in the fall. This led to a closed-door meeting for Democrats. Unconfirmed reports suggest House speaker Nancy Pelosi was extremely agitated over the comments, while others claimed that she had just woke up on the wrong side of the web......

The allegation that our political scene could have been infiltrated by 'operatives' working under the direction of foreign interests should surprise no one, especially coming from the very top of our intelligence community. Given Canada's history of moving towards Trudeau's vision of a multi-cultural utopia at the expense of such things as a proper immigration system that wouldn't weaken our overall national security, to reject such a claim out of hand would be completely naive.

U.S. chairman of the House Energy and Commerce committee Henry Waxman has shown his level of ignorance regarding the oil sands. News broke this week that Waxman had urged the State Department to block TransCanada's planned Keystone XL pipeline that would run from Hardisty, Alberta to the U.S. Gulf Coast. This pipeline represents a direct line from the safest and largest non-American source of oil to the U.S. There are no dictators to deal with, no terrorists threats. America's ally and closest friend has a most valuable resource, and Waxman is asking his own government to ignore it. As is...

While I have every confidence that my American friends are not gullible enough to believe the latest enviroNazi-created anti-Alberta oil sands campaign, from time to time even the best and brightest of Canada’s neighboring nation have been known to get sucked into choosing sizzle over steak and falling for spin(Obama).....

This is it. The final year of my life that I can still describe myself, albeit in extremely specific instances, as ‘young’. Like if I were to find myself in a retirement home, for example. A bingo hall, perhaps. The Legion. Or a cemetery. “Boy, compared to these folks, I’m young.”
