The devil made Larry do it. Don't blame Lawrence O'Donnell for his ugly anti-Mormon rant. It was really the fault of O'Donnell's fellow panelists. That's Frank Rich's take on the unseemly episode on the McLaughin Group a couple Fridays ago. Rich claims in his NY Times column of today that O'Donnell was: "pushed over the edge by his peers’ polite chatter about Mitt Romney’s sermon on 'Faith in America.'”

Transcript of Sept. 3 show is not yet available, but reporter Larry O'Donnell kept calling Zell Miller a 'psychopath' because of his remarks at the Republican Convention. Does anyone see the irony here? They level personal attacks with hateful speech against anyone who doesn't agree with their views. In my book, Zell Miller is an old-fashioned patriot and a Marine who called John "Waffle" Kerry out and tells it like it is.

Lawrence O'Donnell on this morning's McLaughlin Group stated that Martha Stewart's appeal should be based on vioation of her First Amendment rights. O'Donnell argued that it should be the Constitutional right of every American to lie to anyone - including government employees- except in a proceeding where testimony is taken under oath.
