A Trip Down Memory Lane 31 March 2010 Not too long ago, taking to the streets to protest your government was considered a patriotic act. It’s true! But it seems that publicly airing your grievances stopped being patriotic right around noon on January 20th, 2009.Once President Obama was sworn in, protesting became incitement to violence. If you’ve opened up a newspaper or watched a cable news program in the past week or so, you’ve probably seen members of the media painting Tea Party activists as dangerous bigots. That’s because disagreeing with President Obama on issues like government spending and high taxes makes...

Just in case the governor of New York decides to “spend more time” with his family after getting tied to a prostitution ring by federal wiretaps, let’s recall what made Eliot Spitzer such a special kind of politician. In an era where politicians try to gussy up their power plays in politically correct language and strive for plausible deniability, Spitzer provided a refreshing lack of manners — as long as you like politics as bloodsport. For instance, even before becoming governor, Spitzer made his displeasure clear to John Whitehead after the former chair of Goldman Sachs had the temerity to...

Seven days prior to events which would set the world on-edge, newly-hired Pentagon spokeswoman Victoria "Torie" Clarke offered an equally startling admission to Agency France Presse wire service, but which received scant attention within U.S. media. On September 5, Ms. Clarke--lured back into government service by pal Mary Matalin on Vice President Dick Cheney's staff, from a high-paying post as Manhattan office director for the venerable public relations firm of Hill & Knowlton--the former PR chief to Senator John McCain and one-time George Bush (the elder) staffer would divulge to foreign media that the United States, via the Pentagon and...

With Tuesday’s attacks, Abu Musab Zarqawi, a Jordanian militant with ties to al-Qaida, is now blamed for more than 700 terrorist killings in Iraq. But NBC News has learned that long before the war the Bush administration had several chances to wipe out his terrorist operation and perhaps kill Zarqawi himself — but never pulled the trigger. ...... Military officials insist their case for attacking Zarqawi’s operation was airtight, but the administration feared destroying the terrorist camp in Iraq could undercut its case for war against Saddam.

I almost forgot to recognize a very important anniversary. This past Friday was the 25th anniversary of the release of 52 Americans held hostage in Iran for 444 days by Islamic terrorists. It's especially important because one of their mad captors is now the mad leader of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, today. While our State Department claims he was not one of the captors, the surviving hostages, today, remember him. And I believe them. Not the liars and enablers at the State Department who are most often America's enemies fondest allies. Times Haven't Changed: U.S. Hostages in Iran Released 25 Years...
