I forced myself to watch Real Time with Bill Maher last night (gag). He had 3 guests on his panel Micheal Moore, Jane Harmon and John Avlon. Marher and Moore went on a rip about how the richest 400 in the country control more wealth than 50+% of US and how terrible that was. It made me wonder what the split is among those top 400 conservative to liberal. Anyone know? I've heard this meme on other news networks (not MSNBC which I don't watch or Gores attempt at a news channel) so we need an answer. My guess is...

Cuba banned Michael Moore's 2007 documentary, Sicko, because it painted such a "mythically" favourable picture of Cuba's healthcare system that the authorities feared it could lead to a "popular backlash", according to US diplomats in Havana. The revelation, contained in a confidential US embassy cable released by WikiLeaks , is surprising, given that the film attempted to discredit the US healthcare system by highlighting what it claimed was the excellence of the Cuban system. But the memo reveals that when the film was shown to a group of Cuban doctors, some became so "disturbed at the blatant misrepresentation of healthcare...

Capitalism the villain as Moore movie hits Venice Sun Aug 30, 2009 2:59pm EDT By Mike Collett-White LONDON (Reuters) - The Venice film festival has capitalism in its sights this year, with premieres of Michael Moore's documentary on the U.S. economic meltdown and a drama starring Matt Damon as a corrupt corporate whistleblower. "Capitalism: A Love Story," in competition at the annual cinema showcase, sees Moore take on the corporate bosses with his trademark combative style, bringing the hot topic of recession to the picturesque Lido waterfront. And "The Informant!," directed by Steven Soderbergh and featuring Damon as a real-life...

Campaign 2008: Get the latest news, video, and polls! PHOTOS: Sarah Palin VIDEO: Palin fires back at heckler Alaska Governor Sarah Palin showed her hockey mom side during a rally in Florida. The Republican vice presidential candidate was giving a speech, when a man, not far from the stage started yelling toward her. After a few insults Palin turned to the man and told him that her son is fighting in Iraq for him to protest the event. The crowd erupted.

MAY 10--Director Michael Moore is being investigated by the Treasury Department for traveling to Cuba in violation of a U.S. trade embargo. In a May 2 letter, the Office of Foreign Assets Control informed Moore that he was the subject of a civil investigation stemming from the filmmaker's March trip to Cuba. Moore reportedly traveled there with 9/11 rescue workers who were seeking medical care. The trip was filmed as part of Moore's documentary "Sicko," which examines the U.S. health care industry (and premieres at the Cannes film festival on May 19). In the letter to Moore, a copy of...

As I may have had occasion to mention before, movies go as naturally together with paranoia as they do with voyeurism. Possibly with other mental disorders as well, but we can confine ourselves to these two for the moment. Sufferers from both imagine that they see things most people do not see, and the thrill of that exclusive view is what makes it so compelling. The moving picture camera flatters that sense of exclusivity. Everything that it shows us, it has sought out and separated from the torrent of visual experience available to it, a tiny nugget of presumed significance...

The dentist cranks up his drill, revs it up and digs in. At first, no problem. The Novocain kicked in minutes ago. Half our head is numb. He asks us a question and we nod spastically. He asks another and we mumble like Steve Martin in The Jerk when reading Bernadette Peters goodbye note that fell in the bathtub. Meanwhile his drill keeps buzzing. The buzz gets louder, harsher. Our jawand finally our whole headstart vibrating. The sadist in the face mask and rubber gloves drills deeper, deeper. SoonAAWH! We wail in pain. He went too deep. Either that, or...

The Heartland Launches New Hollywood Values Movement By Kevin Fobbs There comes a time in the history of a nation where the values and the traditions which are part of the very fabric of our being implores us to reconnect to our roots, to restore our principles and to recapture the very essence of what our traditional family values were based upon in the founding of America. The Grand Traverse Bay Film Festival which exemplified Faith, Freedom and Family as the hallmark themes of its movies that were shown also helped to point out that Hollywood and the movie makers,...

I just found this on the Land Whale's website. He's posted letters he claims are from servicemen in the "war zone." They sound like they came from big time leftist's. We are provided no proof that these are actual soldiers. I believe Michael Moore-on knows that the majority of troops in Iraq are proud of what they are doing. Of course that does not serve his ambitions. So he's more than happy to promote the voices of the few malcontents. Here's one such letter: ---------------------------------- In 2000, I supported Bush because I thought he was a 'uniter.'" -----Original Message----- From:...

The new movie by film maker Micheal Noir premiered in Vichy France last weekend to rave reviews by all attending. Crowds chanted Viva la Noir! and Wunderbar!' for an entire hour after the credits finished rolling. The movie concerns the justification and various issues surrounding the decision of Roosevelt to ask for a declaration of war on the country of Germany. Mr. Noir said that Germany is a sovereign country that Roosevelt lashed out at to distract us from the failed New Deal and the quagmire in the Pacific, and the justifications for war are very questionable. The film, in...

First poor mikey's deceiptful movie failed to deliver the presidency to John Kerry. Then in his sad attempt at redemption, his call to arms for Michigan St. as retribution on Ohio failed as Ohio St. beat Michigan St. 32-19. So, keep it coming Mikey. The more you say, the more my teams win. Thanks big guy! I owe you some twinkies or something!

Democrats are in a snit over a conservative-leaning broadcast group's plan to air a documentary critical of John Kerry just before the election.... [The DNC] filed a complaint with the [FEC], arguing that Sinclair is violating the McCain-Feingold campaign-finance law by giving a valuable "in-kind" contribution to the Bush campaign. Kerry adviser Chad Clanton even threatened to abuse the power of the Federal Communications Commission if Kerry is elected, warning that Sinclair "better hope we don't win." ...After all, many news groups surely would fail such a test, their news coverage rendered no more than "in-kind" contributions to their favored...

A fun poll to freep.... Would you want to see Micheal Moore?

The funniest thing I just saw in my local bookstore. When looking for a conservative book, I stumbled onto the grossly overweight, unshaven, meglomaniac Micheal Moore's book and it's cover of "Dude, Where's my country." I know this is tough but look closely at the cover of Moore's book. It has a heavily doctored or photo doubled picture of a much slimmer Moore. The body is A LOT thinner than the real author's by 100+ pounds. The photo features Mr. Moore's face. It's seems that Mr. Moore has some major issues with his grossly overweight bulk on his book covers....

According to the Drudge Report, old Ronnie will stop be messing his adult diapers and drooling after eating his mushed vegetables soon. Yup, it look like the old bastard is about to kick the bucket. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Americans like myself consider him and people like him bigger enemies than people whom we have no quarrel with like Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. There will probably be tributes to this old fool so here's my bio: Reagan was a second-rate actor who started shilling for big business (like General Electric) in the 1950's, and that's what he...

Micheal moore does it again with this hit movie that exposes Bush and the Conservative (loser lobby) once again! It's the most unbiased and awesome movie I've ever seen! It's awesome and fantastic! Yes yes I know! You conservatives are all mad at him because he's excercising his freedom of speech which all of you hated since the days you imposed jim crow and mcarthyism. Dont cry babies! Your just mad because everything he said is right and everything you say is a lie. Boooooo hoooooo! Dont cry! You can always make up your own movie about bill Clinton or...

Today Micheal Moore went to speak in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The event was held at the Fountain Street Church. ( In reality it is a sanctuary for druggies, anti- war protesters, America haters etc.) I arrived and there was a crowd gathered around the Osama of the Left. As I approached the target from the high ground, I got flashbacks from my Marine Corp days. Gotta love that high ground, (more about that later). I was armed with not one but two large American Flags. Combat boots for stomping, hard plastic hand wraps for skull collapsing, and other assorted Bushido...

City Journal Michael Moore, Humbug Kay S. Hymowitz Summer 2003 Recently a wealthy Chicago couple named Drobney announced their plan to bankroll a left-wing talk radio station. They neednt bother: the Left already has a multimedia starand even without a radio station, hes bigger than Rush, has more fans than OReilly, and sells books faster than Coulter. Followers plead with this folk hero for the American people to run for president. Reviewers compare him to Twain, Voltaire, and Swift. Unlike Rush and company, the appeal of this blue-collar megastar extends far beyond the hoi polloi. Hollywood and Manhattan agents wave...

Michael Moore is trying to tie Bush to bin Laden! His film is scheduled to be released in 2004, in the middle of the campaign! And Disney's Miramax is reportedly financing this hit piece!Of course we must boycott Disney and Miramax. But letters (hard copy ones, ones they have to hold in their hands and look at) are another effective way of getting the message out that America doesn't want Michael Moore's Bush-bashing films in their marketplace!!Here are some contact numbers and street addresses to mail your letters to. Please remember: the person who answers the phone may have NO...

Read rumors of this a few days ago, now we have confirmation and a few new details. Quote from Moore: Im making a film called Fahrenheit 911, The Temperature at Which Freedom Burns. Itll be about how Bush is using 9/11 and those 3,000 lost lives as an excuse to move along his own conservative agenda. The documentary "will be about the ties between the BUSH family and the BIN LADEN family... about the changes in America since 9-11..."

In Fort Gibson, Oklahoma on December 7, 1999 a 13-year-old boy shot four classmates at school with his fathers handgun. His father had purchased the gun six years earlier at Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart had stopped stocking handguns in its stores in 1993, but not before the boy's father had purchased the gun that would bring tragedy six years later. Wal-Mart is now the world's largest corporation. With annual sales of $218 billion, Wal-Mart rivals the gross domestic product of the world's 22nd largest economy, Austria. Wal-Mart is the world's largest overall retailer, and sells more groceries, toys, and jewelry than any...
