This is only 5 days late but necessary to get out. Newt Gingrich invaded the Dallas area last Monday to meet with grassroots leaders and media. Want to know what he said BEHIND closed doors? It ain’t over - is what happened. First, I owe an apology to Santorum supporter and long time Twitter friend @Malvenue for being particularly harsh in the face of his defeatist attitude that “it’s all over” and Romney is the nominee. That is both FACTUALLY wrong and wrong as an attitude for any true patriotic conservative. It is FAR from over. No one has reached...

In capitulating to the drug cartels and appeasing the Mexican government the Obama Administration has ordered 900 National Guard troops to abandon their patrols against smugglers along the border as reported by Brian Bennett for the Los Angeles Times. In explaining the troop withdrawal to Congress last week Brian J. Lepore, a director at the U.S. Government and Accountability Office, said their presence on the southwest border "threatened to strain diplomatic relations with Mexico." The Mexican drug cartels move $50 billion in bulk product and bundled cash across the border each year. Although the Obama Administration insists that there is...

The problem with Iran’s enrichment facilities has become more acute in recent years. When the West refused to supply 20%-enriched uranium for the small Tehran Research Reactor, where the Iranians produce medical isotopes, Iranian nuclear experts went ahead in June 2010 and fed their 5%-enriched uranium into the centrifuges to produce 20%-enriched uranium, by themselves. With a stockpile of 20%-enriched uranium, the Iranians would cut by more than half the time they needed to take the next enrichment step to weapons-grade uranium.

The U.S. military has become expert at controlling urban populations in Iraq – but why is the Department of Homeland Security building similar capabilities here?Unfortunately, the federal government’s war on freedom is a subject still dominated mostly by conspiracy theorists, end-of-the-worlders, and yes, crackpots who hold highly marginal and dismissible views. Fortunately, some of that is changing with the rise of “smart preppers.” I think most people concerned about liberty would appreciate an honest, probative look at actual plans and initiatives that federal authorities are now developing in earnest. Not wild conclusions based on dark conspiracy theories that make most...

So the Army cancels Ted Nugent's concert at Fort Knox, citing a conflict of interest over his recent comments. How ironic being I'd wager that 80% of our military, if not higher, can't stand Obama and share Nugent's sentiments. Obviously this decision was forced upon military leaders via the Oval Office as an attempt to discredit Nugent and paint him as yet another Tea Party radical. Sadly, Ted probably cares more for our fighting men and women than our Marxist in Chief. I guess the fact that Al Sharpton promised violence over the Trayvon Martin case - which hadn't even...

Seventy years ago this week sixteen Army Air Force B-25 Mitchells took off from the heaving deck of the Navy’s aircraft carrier USS Hornet. This was the first time in the Second World War that America took the fight to the enemy. The raiders who were led by Lt. Col. Jimmy Doolittle, struck Japan in a demonstration ofAmerica’s determination to take the fight to Japan’s home soil. This raid was a morale booster for a nation that was still recovering from the attack onPearl Harbor. The concept of launching medium bombers from a carrier was conceived by Navy Captain Francis...

There are few walks of life nobler or more rewarding than a military career. Military personnel work long, arduous hours, often under intense stress and in extreme danger to their own life and limb. They spend months away from their loved ones while on call 24/7 in an intensely unsafe and unfriendly environment. In return, they receive low pay and lose many of the freedoms of choice they take an oath to protect, freedoms the rest of us take for granted. I’ve been proud of my country, and especially its military, from the time I was a small boy, when...

Women to attend Marines' infantry school [Updated at 1:04 p.m. ET] The U.S. Marine Corps plans to allow a yet-undetermined number of female volunteers to enroll in the school that trains its infantry combat officers, the Marine Corps Times has reported. The plan to open the Infantry Officers Course to women is part of the service's effort to determine which additional jobs may be open to women in the future, Gen. Joseph Dunford, the Marines' assistant commandant, told the Marine Corps Times. "We are in the process right now of soliciting volunteers," Dunford told the Times for a story published...

Well....dead enemy. Like Joe Darby (of Abu Ghraib fame), an anonymous soldier took 18 sensitive photos and "leaked" them to the press. Specifically, to the LA Times. The photos have emerged at a particularly sensitive moment for U.S.-Afghan relations. In January, a video appeared on the Internet showing four U.S. Marines urinating on Afghan corpses. In February, the inadvertent burning of copies of the Koran at a U.S. base triggered riots that left 30 dead and led to the deaths of six Americans. In March, a U.S. Army sergeant went on a nighttime shooting rampage in two Afghan villages, killing...

The alleged sexcapades by several Secret Service agents while in Colombia in service to President Barack Obama may not just be an embarassment for their country; rather, the objects of their affections may have been exploited against their will, and the investigation into the debaucherous debacle necessarily must include the circumstances by which the involved women found themselves in the meat market. The Obama administration has just proven its utter failure in foreign policy. It had negotiated an agreement with the North Korea that in exchange for food it would give up its uranium enrichment program, allow IAEA inspectors into the Yongbyong facilities, halt missile tests and cease nuclear weapons tests. The basic reason Romney should be opposed by conservatives is that Romney is not a conservative. More specifically, Romney is the author of the $50 abortion, the originator of the gay marriage license, and the founder of big government-forced health care. Those 3 are a mix of social and fiscal issues. The conclusion is that Romney is neither a fiscal conservative nor a social conservative. His tenure as governor of Massachusetts proves that point. Now, as Romney is touted as the “etch-a-sketch” candidate who will shortly begin his tack to the left, principled conservatives will do well to begin listing...

Reading this, one can almost hear Helen Reddy singing out the strains of “I am woman, hear me roar.” Insofar as the concept of feminism is concerned, I can’t seriously believe that anyone, male or female, living in present-day America can argue with feminism’s goals. Action is a completely different matter. Scandinavian troops probably are the toughest enemy any opponent on this planet ever could challenge. Our "small" nation have recently been successful in fighting Talibans. Our equipment is superior. Our organization is superior. Our training is superior. Our genes are superior. Our health is superior. Our military tradition is superior. Our planning...

An interesting story surrounds last month's  50th anniversary celebration of the  Mercury-Atlas 6 manned space flight... John and Annie Glenn with VP Johnson, 1962 John Glenn's own true heroFor half a century now the world has applauded John Glenn as a heart-stirring American hero. He lifted the nation's spirits when, as one of the original Mercury astronauts, he was blasted alone into orbit around the Earth; the enduring affection for him is so powerful that even now people find themselves misting up at the sight of his face or the sound of his voice. But for all these years, Glenn has...

The continued assault on Congressman Allen West by the progressive/Democrat establishment has taken a new twist as a mysterious group is now soliciting prospective protesters online and paying them for their “protesting” services. The probable Soros-backed group Stand Up Florida is now specifically campaigning against Congressman West in the 18th congressional district that he is running for re-election in. Here’s the link to Stand Up Florida’s website which makes no attempt to hide their contempt for West. Stand Up Florida’s advertisement is now on Craig’s List (screen capture below) that calls on folks in N.Palm Beach, Martin, and St.Lucie counties-the...
  • Very Vain Vanity: is the term "IED" well known today? (writing song lyrics)

I am trying to write lyrics for a song involving a troop who went to Iraq and whose vehicle encountered an IED (improvised explosive device, i.e. Islamoterrorist guerilla road bomb) that exploded. It presents the man as a hero who saved his buddies when they were thrown out of the vehicle, but who himself perished in a hail of automatic fire from the enemy. There is a lot more to the story both before and afterwards than this, but it is an important story element. The term "IED" is a lot more euphonious (the syllables have a better sound) in...
  • Military unveils new 'heat beam' weapon

The Active Denial System, called ADS for short, is a non-lethal weapon that has been in development for 15 years. It delivers a man-sized heat beam on a radio frequency of 95 gigahertz. Accessing the same millimeter wave technology used in airport body scanners, the beam penetrates only 1/64th of an inch into a person's skin and cornea, heating water molecules in the tissue and generating an instinctive urge to run from the effect. The prototypes the military demonstrated where installed on two different vehicles -- one built onto a heavy expanded-mobility tactical truck, the other onto a Humvee. "You're...

“In time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” George Orwell Springtime has finally arrived and it didn’t take long for the dust to settle. So has American public opinion now almost buried in the dust of the desert they lodge in their hearts the one topic that should not only be burning their blood but, above all, their conscience. A highly decorated, twice injured in his services in Iraq, 38-year old veteran of four combat tours, American hero, Sergeant Robert Bales, is now being sullied by the treasonous Obama government -unbelievably, under the watchful eyes of...

Any serious strike against Tehran would almost certainly trigger a larger Middle East war... and time is not on the Israelis' side: here's how the IDF is likely planning to win, and win BIG: The Assad regime in Damascus has long been one of a number of deterrents to any Israeli military strike on the Iranian nuclear program. They -along with their Hezbollah allies in Lebanon- would likely launch a vicious missile barrage (at minimum) against the world's only Jewish state if Iran was attacked. Israel may possess the world's most comprehensive anti-missile defenses, but considering Iranian proxy Hezbollah now has over...
  • Egypt Declares Israel “Number One Enemy”

The success of Egypt’s “Arab Spring” rolled on to yet another triumph as that country’s parliament renounced the possibility that it could ever be an ally of Israel. Instead, Israel was declared Egypt’s “number one enemy.” Following this development, President Obama announced the restoration of US military aid to Egypt. “Israel is a very powerful country in that region,” Obama explained. “If Egypt is to have any chance against them it is imperative that we extend as much military assistance as we can.” The President acknowledged that his decision “probably won’t go over well with some of Israel’s more strident...
