Anti Palin comments are counter-productive and should not be tolerated among us. (Vanity)

Those of you. You know who you are. I don't care who you are or what your reasoning is. Your siding with the maistream media against Palin is doing nothing to help Republicans or Conservatism in general. You are hurting your own cause. Unless you are a DU troll. Or a liberal Republican who has no idea what the heck you are even talking about. Ani Palin comments (such as "shes not fit to be President") should be seen as trolling and should not be tolerated on Free Republic, any conservative web site or any conservative setting. While I am...

Moby’s NYC Vegan Restaurant “Teany” Gets Destroyed In Fire

Bad news for all those tea drinking vegans on the lower east side. Late last week, Teany Cafe — an NYC vegan eatery co-founded by Moby — was destroyed in a fire. According to reports, an electrical fire ignited the vegan restaurant and gutted the building on Rivington Street. Moby opened the joint in 2002 with this his then girlfriend Kelly Tisdale, and later turned it over to Tisdale exclusively. On his blog, Moby wrote: ”Apparently Kelly is working hard to repair it and get it re-opened. So there’s a good chance that Teany will re-open at some point in...

McCartney and Yoko push 'meat-free Mondays'

LONDON (AFP) — Beatles legend and famous vegetarian Paul McCartney was joined by John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono Monday to launch an appeal for "meat-free Mondays." McCartney said going vegetarian, even for just one day a week, was good for the environment because of research suggesting it cuts greenhouse gas emissions from the world's livestock population. "I thought this was a great idea. To just reduce your meat intake maybe by one day a week and this would seriously benefit the planet," he told reporters, alongside Ono and a bevy of other stars including Kelly Osbourne and Moby.
Porn in the USA: Conservatives Are Biggest Consumers

A new study shows that states that consume the most porn tend to be more conservative and religious than states with lower levels of consumption. "When it comes to adult entertainment, it seems people are more the same than different," says Benjamin Edelman at Harvard Business School. However, there are some trends to be seen in the data. Those states that do consume the most porn tend to be more conservative and religious than states with lower levels of consumption, the study finds. "Some of the people who are most outraged turn out to be consumers of the very things...

Pop Stars to Descend on Democratic Convention to Party and Politic (DNC rock and hip hop concerts)

A certain amount of celebrity glow has long been a part of both political parties’ gatherings. But thanks in part to the youthful charisma of Senator Barack Obama, the presumptive nominee, the Democratic convention, which begins on Monday in Denver, is shaping up as an unlikely hot spot for the music world, with multiplatinum rappers, indie-rock scenesters, D.J.’s and Jennifer Lopez arriving by the van- and private planeload to perform, rally or schmooze with the political elite. “It’s the Sundance Film Festival for politicos,” said Laura Dawn, the cultural director of MoveOn.org, who also happens to sing with Moby... Moby wrote on his personal website: "You know how the religious right will every now and then say that some natural disasters - hurricanes, earthquakes, etc - happen because God is angry at secular sinners?"I mean, personally, I tend to think that things like hurricanes...

In a recent post, Clemons calls attention to the growing phenomenon of blogger conference calls. Along with the character flaws and the subpoenas came peace and prosperity." The brief segment did not feature any explicit criticisms of Clinton's presidency, but when it came to George W.
