Perhaps you could call it a coda to an outstanding symphony of audio/videophile tech. Oppo Digital, the company whose products have won it many awards over the years – and which deserved them – has announced it's winding down its operations. Say it isn't so, Oppo! The announcement on the company's website as of April 2, came as a big surprise to me. I've been reviewing the company's products since they first appeared on the North American scene and have yet to find one that wasn't a great addition to whichever market niche it was invading. From TV's to DAC...

Kylie Minogue has her sixth U.K. No. 1 album, and first for eight years, as Golden (BMG) enters in pole position. Drake has another chart-topping single in the territory, just three weeks after his last, as “Nice For What” (Cash Money/Republic/Universal) makes a winning debut. Minogue's new album has combined first-week units of 48,000, according to the Official Charts Company, bettering each of her last three releases. She first topped the U.K. album chart with Kylie in August 1988, and most recently with Aphrodite in July 2010. 6,400 of the unit total for Golden came on vinyl, making it that...

No, I'm not talking about our maligned AG! (In before the Sessions bashers, BTW). But does anybody remember these music commercials growing up?

Overlooked song because of Gloria. But still think it's her best.

Revisiting 'The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down' by the Band. Any opinions? I think James Gleason nailed it in his Rolling Stone Review: Nothing I have read … has brought home the overwhelming human sense of history that this song does. The only thing I can relate it to at all is The Red Badge of Courage. It's a remarkable song, the rhythmic structure, the voice of Levon and the bass line with the drum accents and then the heavy close harmony of Levon, Richard and Rick in the theme, make it seem impossible that this isn't some traditional...

”PAUL, THE APOSTLE OF CHRIST” ABOUT THE FILM PAUL, APOSTLE OF CHRIST is the story of two men. Luke, as a friend and physician, risks his life when he ventures into the city of Rome to visit Paul, who is held captive in Nero’s darkest, bleakest prison cell. But Nero is determined to rid Rome of Christians, and does not flinch from executing them in the grisliest ways possible. Before Paul’s death sentence can be enacted, Luke resolves to write another book, one that details the beginnings of “The Way” and the birth of what will come to be known...

More stunningly beautiful and moving music from Thomas Bergersen. Talia's Theme Yeah, I know it's YouTube... But you have to hear this. Real music.

Steven Seagal--actor, Zen master, musician, director, martial arts instructor and now crypto ambassador—has reportedly walked away from the Bitcoiin project, along with its anonymous founders, after closing out an ICO that may or may not have raised its targeted $75 million. No one knows, really, and that seems to be a recurring problem with ICOs, highlighting the danger of celebrity-sponsored coins that seem exciting but offer no protection from potential fraud. Seagal may have been the face of the alt coin, but the founders remain masked.

"Every since the most recent school shooting the liberal media has banded together to solve the problem. Some people are cynical about the media, not me, I think they finally know that it's time. It's time to listen to the children for once..."

We are still catching up on NCIS, binge-watching. Last night MICHELLE OBAMA reared her ugly mug in a cameo - someone was receiving an award at the White House. It was like having cold water tossed on me. I was so disgusted to find her THERE. I hope she's not on again, going forward. I think we are in Season 13 or so.

By now, everyone has heard there is a new Trump accuser trying to get her 15 minutes of face time on camera, a former Playboy Bunny, along with Stormy Daniels, a 'professional stripper', and another whom I can't remember her name, nor care to. What amazes me is the fact that I have never seen so many women willing to go on the record, and even national television, to exclaim, "LOOK AT ME! I'M A WHORE!". "I'M EVEN TRYING TO GET THE COURTS TO ALLOW ME TO TELL YOU HOW BIG A WHORE I AM!" The Media MSM is falling...

I'm not usually, if ever, asking for help on something, but my cd player won't play "Hitman" or anything else I feed it. I can't find a "My CD" folder, as described in one of the articles' repair steps. I'll do what I can from your suggestions, up to my limited knowledge base, to implement any ideas. Within reason. Thanks in advance.

You’ve surely gotten the memo by now. As a fan of The Twilight Zone, you’re supposed to be head over heels for Black Mirror. I wish I could join the chorus. I don’t mean the show is without merit. It’s well-produced, acted and directed. It has some intriguing storylines. But it’s no Twilight Zone for the 21st century. Sure, it’s an anthology with fantasy/sci-fi touches. But it’s also incredibly pessimistic...Yes, TZ had its share of downbeat endings (hello, Henry Bemis). And it’s true that Serling didn’t shrink from showing us the dark side of human nature (“The Shelter” and “The...
