I am curious. Is there any good resources about how to become a nomad in America ? Nearing retirement, and thinking that I could RV it with no permanent home address. How does one register a vehicle, or renew a drivers license, and so on, without a mailing address ? If I don't officially "Live" in a particular state, can I go buy a truck in New Hampshire and pay no sales tax ? I'm thinking about this as a way to distance myself from the feds.

DO NOT EVER DO THIS. I met a fellow about 7 years ago in the rooms of Narcotics Anonymous. He was getting cleaned up; so was I. We became fast friends. Soon, I was helping him out, and he was helping me. Sometimes I loaned him money -- a lot -- and sometimes he loaned it to me. Once, I loaned him my car for some jobn interviews. Everything went well. He contacted me recently and asked if I could rent him a car. "Why can't you rent it?" I asked. Well, he had a valid license but not a...

This air supremacy has provided the freedom of movement our forces have come to depend on to win on the battlefield. BRUSSELS -- A Belgian court extended Tuesday the detention of a 35-year-old Moroccan accused in connection with the killing last year of the Afghan anti-Taleban commander Ahmad Shah Masood, officials said. The suspect, whose identity has not been officially revealed, was arrested on October 8 in Antwerp and has been charged with complicity in the September 2001 killing of the Afghan opposition leader, a spokesman as said. The Brussels court extended his detention warrant by a month pending an investigation into an operation to provide false passports, AFP quoted prosecution spokesman Jos Colpin as saying. Belgian press reports have named...

THE Australian army is gearing up to be part of the Summernats festival for the first time in the event's 19 years, when it unleashes a new recruiting tool on the rev-head crowds at the annual motoring festival. Army chief Lieutenant General Peter Leahy hopes the custom-built high performance seven-litre supercharged Landrover called "Armygeddon" will draw a crowd and hopefully boost army ranks. "Well we've looked at Summernats over the years, it's a great national event and a lot of young men and women go out there," he said. "So I think in that sort of environment at the Summernats...

My salvation and my honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.-- Psalms 62:7 (NLT) I got sober in the summer of 1983, in Anchorage. I was playing six nights a week with a rock and roll band in the lounge of one of the town's flossiest hotels, so when I walked into my first AA meeting, everybody knew who I was. And when I stopped boozing and drugging, because I was living with the band, everybody at work knew what I had done. I was not anonymous at all. In...

Sorry to initiate this thread this way, but I just came inside from working in the yard all day and clicked on the TV. FOX's Rita Cosby was talking to some guy about Eric Rudolph and the guy said something about Rudolph listening to Rush Limbaugh. I missed the first part of the interview so I don't know the context of the statement. Is there anybody who heard the whole segment who can shed some light on this?

Tax Cuts - A Simple Lesson in Economics Let's put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand. Suppose that every day, ten men go out for dinner. The bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this: -The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing -The fifth would pay $1 -The sixth would pay $3 -The seventh $7 -The eighth $12 -The ninth $18 -The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59. So, that's what they decided to do. The ten men ate dinner...

WASHINGTON –– A hand-written ledger book detailing Senate finances when George Washington was president has been found in an underground Capitol storage area, barely avoiding removal and destruction as work begins on a visitors' center. The roughly 400 pages provide a window on the Senate from 1790 to 1881, beginning at a time when senators were paid $6 for each day they attended a session of Congress. In those first years, senators also received a maximum daily allotment of $6 for travel to the capital, calculated at 30 cents per mile for a maximum of 20 miles. That came to...
