audio: 'In Justice': David Iglesias On U.S. Attorney Firings (barf)

COMMENT FROM LIB FRIEND: "Actually if you want to know the real reason ACORN is busted, please listen to the interview of David Iglesias on Fresh Air. Iglesias was one of the US Attorney’s fired by then-Attorney General Alberto Gonzales for political reasons. He just came out with a book discussing it. In the interview, he talks about these very type of “voter fraud” cases being timed close to an election in order to intimidate legitimate voters from poor and minority neighborhoods from voting. It was because he set up a task force made up of both republican and democrats...

The Numbers Game

Honestly, this is a stressful time for those of us who stand to the right in this election year. Many of us feel that this could be a major turning point in our country because of the stance and political viewpoints of our opponents on the left. Their very liberal views and policies have the potential to be destructive to this country we love. Their pro-abortion policies alone are enough for me to head in the opposite direction. My wife recently said, "If a candidate does not recognize the sanctity of life then I care very little where he stands...

Revealed:systematic manipulation of polling

CALL TO ACTION! "FREEPING FOR JESUS": THE VP DEBATE by Kevinole Oct 02, 2008 at 05:51:27 PM PDT We organized a Freep List for the first Obama vs. McCondescending-Asshole debate. As far as I know, this had never been done before. We did a great job and I learned a lot that I could use in making this and future freep list diaries more effective. I fully expect "Mighty Joe" Biden to crush Sarah "I-Shot-Bullwinkle" Palin like a grape. One thing I will not take for granted, however, is the industriousness of the right-wing spin machine. They will be out...

Technical suggestion for Free Republic

A humble suggestion. Link the "Title of Thread" dialog box to a SEARCH button that you have to click before you can fill out any more of the posting form. In other words, force a title search early on in the posting process. And have it return the URL of the post that it found, so the person who wanted to post the article could comment on the original thread. It'd go a LONG way towards eliminating duplicate posts, save disk space, make a cleaner database, and make FR more content-dense.

Why are we freaking out? Seriously?

Poll averages have Obama up 4%. THAT'S IT! With an unpopular war, an unpopular president, a terrible economic fallout, and the liberal media glorifying Obama, you would think Obama would be up AT LEAST 10%. But he's not. All this favor for the democrats, and all Obama can manage is 4% over John McCain? Obama is going to lose this election. Handily. And this isn't just some pollyanna post, it's the truth. A bill will get passed, and the roar over the bad economy will fade somewhat. And, in the meantime, McCain will rebound in the polls with the help...

Isn't this rather cheap for a semi-auto?

Hi, this is my first post ever, so I don't know if this is a vanity or what. Anyway, due to the political happenings of late, plus a little paranoia, I've given some serious consideration to buying a firearm. Now, during my research I found this SAVAGE 64 fxp And I'm wondering why it's so cheap. If anyone owns a Savage Arms rifle I'd appreciate some performance info, In case I decide to buy. In addition I'd appreciate any other input anyone might have. Thanks!

BIG BANG Recreated!!! That's fantastic!!! Someone recreated the big bang, or a model, rather. But hey, ya can't have a recreation without an original creation. Perhaps scientist will realize, if their INTELLIGENCE has brought them to this point of modeling a big bang, then there must exists an INTELLIGENCE, who many years ago gave ignition to the original, and could only endow it with life to boot!

Intimidation of the Electoral College

As a true conservative, let me give you my revelation of who will be the next president of the U.S.A. Unfortunately, it will be Barak Hussien Obama. Why? Because, as evident concerning the intimidation and spin we are witnessing everyday, it will just get worse. In the end, because of the events of threats from law enforcement agencies in Missouri and Illinois if ads are continued that speak the truth about Obama, for one example, and for another example, the threats I personally hear in my hometown of Memphis, TN., from the black community, that if Obama is not elected,...

Marriage: A Biological Institution

So I wanted to add a little to my previous blog (see below) regarding marriage. Beyond the moral implications regarding gay marriage, I think it is simply unnatural, and purely indulgent to sexual appetites. Sex can be, and is a source of great pleasure. Pleasure aside, sex is also the only natural means of procreation. Biologically a man and a woman need each other to have children. Biologically men and women’s sexual organs fit together like two pieces of a puzzle. In other words, there is real biological need of copulation between a man and a woman. Biologically it makes...

Can McCain overcome Obama's edge in voter registration?

I've heard figures that 1 million new Democrats are registered in Pennsylvania, and 500,000 in Florida. About 6 million people voted in the 2004 election in Pennsylvania, and about 8 million did in Florida. So the 1 million new voters in Pennsylvania would be a 17% shift, while the 500,000 voters in Florida would be a 6% shift. I know that not all of the voters will turn out, but even if we assume about 60% actual voter turnout, that is a huge mountain for McCain to climb.

Indeed, this time, this time John McCain would have a homecourt advantage so to speak. John McCain would be in the state that supports him most. Whats more, the McCain friendly crowd would get to ask some questions. I told my wife to arrange for someone to watch my...

Advice for McCain about PA (Vanity)

I think McCain needs to focus on the miracle that occurs in Philadelphia every election cycle. It certainly must be an act of God, so IDK how he would counter it. Think about it...the deceased, in an act of true patriotism, rising from their graves, to cast a vote for a democrat! Truly awe-inspiring! What concerned citizens they must be, to wake from their dirt-naps, to vote for the dem, only to do it again next election cycle. As Kramer of Seinfeld fame would put it, “Another Festivus Miracle!”

October is almost here. Summer is over, the leaves have begun to change and as it is every four years America is in the final throws of a presidential election. In the past one side or the other has came up with "October Surprises", a term usually intended to mean that one campaign has found some type of "Nuclear" option against the other. The news media is on fire today discussing the soon to be played McCain/Palin ad's that detail Obama's associations to fanatical fringes of society. Is this the "October Surprise" or should we pay attention to what is...

A Call For Unity

Now that there are but six weeks left before the next president of the United States is chosen, all Republicans and conservatives need to become united in our effort to insure that John McCain is that person. I call for a cessation of attacks against McCain. He is our candidate. We should be concentrating all our efforts on defeating Obama not helping him by attacking McCain. If necessary, moderators should remove threads and posts that are anti-McCain.
The McCain/Palin Triple-Whammy Energy Policy

They need to promote aomprehensive energy policy that includes drilling for petroleum and natural gas, mining for clean coal and development of alternative energy sources, including wind, solar, hydro and biofuels. Here are the benefits: 1. There is an estimate of several million, good paying domestic jobs that would be created, which would birng down unemployment and increase tax revenues. 2.
Gay Marriage: Why I Think It's Wrong

This subject is so controversial, that many people simply don’t talk about it. Well, this may come as a surprise, but I’m not afraid to talk about it, because I feel my beliefs are correct, and I shouldn’t be ashamed or afraid of the truth. I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. I don’t support gay marriage, because I believe it is morally wrong.
