  • Allen West: I don’t want to see America become like Zimbabwe

The Right Scoop ^ | November 12th, 2012 | Posted by The Right Scoop
Allen West’s campaign told Fox News this morning that there appears to be a willful attempt to steal the election. Apparently all early voting ballots were supposed to be recounted this weekend but according to Eric Shawn, the St. Lucie canvassing board only counted less than half. This is significant because West is only down by 1907 votes which is a .058% gap. An automatic recount is triggered at .05%. West’s campaign also cited the 140% turnout as troubling because it doesn’t match the number of people that showed up, saying that something is being hidden. Allen West himself told...

Democracy Did Not Fail To you newspeople at CBS, CNN, ABC, NBC. To you journalists at the New York Times, the Washington Post, at newspapers all over America. You did it. You won. You were able to get Barack Obama his second term. You knew that if you told the American people the truth, they would not have reelected this man. Americans don't vote to reelect a commander-in-chief who abandons our soldiers and agents and ambassadors when they're under enemy fire. But you, confident that you are much wiser than the American people, you decided we had no reason to...

Bid for freedom: People from the states marked in red have lodged petitions asking to break away from the rest of the United States since Obama returned to the White House Although America carried President Obama confidently into a second term last Tuesday - not everyone is jumping for joy at the prospect of four more years. Tens of thousands have put their names to secession petitions in 20 states, asking that they peacefully become independent from the rest of the country. The documents have been lodged on a government website We The People - and Texas has almost enough...

Full title: We petition the obama administration to: provide University graduates ability to trade their diplomas back for 100% tuition refunds. We petition the obama administration to: provide University graduates ability to trade their diplomas back for 100% tuition refunds. Because of the inability of recent college graduates to find gainful employment in order to repay their college debt, and since this college debt cannot be eliminated in bankruptcy, and most of the recent additions to the job market have been in service related industries, the Obama administration should take up the cause of reducing college debt and hold those...

Advice to California's GOP: Leave — Or Better Yet, Change California needs Republicans' fiscal prudence, but the election shows there's no political future for them without a major makeover. By Steve Lopez November 10, 2012 Memo to the California GOP: Rough couple of weeks, huh? First you found out that the number of registered Republicans in California has dipped below 30%, which means we are fast approaching the day when the entire state membership can fit into two golf carts. To make matters worse, of the 1 million people who used a new online voter registration system this election cycle,...

A review of press releases issued by the Department of Homeland Security, the latest being filed Sunday and dealing with DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano’s visit to State Island for a Hurricane Sandy follow-up, reveals the department is crediting itself with all kinds of activities and accomplishments except for its commitment to produce an Inspector General report on Fast and Furious gunwalking independent of the Department of Justice report released in September. A review of the DHS OIG press releases on its website, with the latest filing also being yesterday, also does not mention such a report. The second IG investigation...

Residents in Missouri and nearly two dozen states have filed petitions on a White House website seeking approval for their state to "withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government." The secession petitions were inspired by President Barack Obama's re-election to a second term. The petitions appear on a section of the White House website called "We the People" that invites users to submit or sign petitions about policy changes they would like to see. If a petition gets 25,000 signatures within a month the White House staff will "review it, ensure it's sent to...

Schweich says the audit will focus on Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and the Electronic Benefit Transfer process, which is used to access food stamps. The audit has been added to the 2013 schedule for Schweich’s office. Schweich pointed to recent reports of benefits being accessed from casinos, gentlemen’s clubs and locations around the world. He says the assistance programs are not intended to finance recipients’ entertainment or to pay for their vacations.

A bold Texas resident started a petition to the White House via its website last Friday in the ” We the People” section. The site allows registered individuals to post petitions making requests to the Obama Administration. In order to be eligible for review, petitions must gather at least 25,000 signatures. Though, today the Texas secession petition reached 27,000, some say it may not get a response. The organization Texassecedes.org points to statements from the state’s own founding documents in order to support the legitimacy of this request. Quotations from the state constitution, “Texas is a free and independent State...

One woman from Mesa, Ariz. decided that her husband was partly to blame for Obama’s re-election because he failed to vote this time around. So as punishment, she reportedly ran him over with her car, leaving him with critical injuries. Holly Solomon, 28, allegedly chased her husband, Daniel, around a parking lot driving an SUV following a heated argument about the presidential election, KNXV-TV reports. ”According to Daniel, Holly believed her family was going to face hardship as a result of President Obama’s...

No need for the hand-wringing or navel-gazing and for God's sake, no need for leftward movements. No compromise. No surrender. No gay marriage. No abortion. No amnesty. No gun control. No big government. And no tax and spend!! If you wish to win elections you must energize the base. You must turn out the vote! President Obama is considering asking Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) to serve as his next defense secretary, part of an extensive rearrangement of his national security team that will include a permanent replacement for former CIA director David H. Petraeus. Although Kerry is thought to covet the job of secretary of state, senior administration officials familiar with transition planning said that nomination will almost certainly go to Susan E. Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

In light of the revelation that Mitt Romney was "shell-shocked" by his loss last week, I've been pretty tough on the job performance of his campaign's internal pollsters, who clearly missed the mark -- resulting in costly tactical decisions down the stretch:   These analyses [of the "expand the map" strategy] make sense, but only within the context of the campaign truly believing that they were safe in other crucial must-have states -- a cataclysmically wrong assumption. When I stopped by Romney headquarters in Boston back in September, Newhouse said his team was anticipating a D+3 electorate in November. This...

Wealth advisors say that with capital-gains taxes potentially going to 25 percent from 15 percent, and other possible increases in the dividend tax, estate tax and other taxes, many clients are selling now to save millions in taxes. If the Bush-era tax cuts expire, taxes on capital gains would revert back to its previous rate of 20 percent from its current 15 percent. Another 5 percent may be added from health-care levies and changes in itemized deductions, bringing the rate to 25 percent for many high earners. Taxes on dividends could go from 15 percent to over 43 percent. And...
