International Land Grab Imagine waking up in a country where a high-ranking government official stands in front of citizens and rails against personal property rights: “The American system of justice must be changed to conform to that of the rest of the world, and there must be a shift in attitudes. Individual wants, needs and desires are to be conformed to the views and dictates of government planners. In the process of implementing Sustainable Development, individual rights will have to take a back seat to the collective.” The shocking line that individual rights should be relegated to the rear has...

Why don't America's media members want to acknowledge Jerusalem as being the capital of Israel? On CNN Newsroom Friday, Ashleigh Banfield actually said, "Rockets fired at Jerusalem. It is not the capital at this point, but it is the disputed center of the universe so to speak when it comes to Israel" (video follows with transcript and commentary): CNN's Ashleigh Banfield: Jerusalem 'Is Not The Capital' of Israel ASHLEIGH BANFIELD: Soon on this program we're going to be able to have a conversation with the Mayor of Jerusalem. In a Dilbert-esque faux pax, a Taliban spokesperson sent out a routine email last week with one notable difference. He publicly CC'd the names of everyone on his mailing list. The names were disclosed in an email by Qari Yousuf Ahmedi, an official Taliban spokesperson, on Saturday. The email was a press release he received from the account of Zabihullah Mujahid, another Taliban spokesperson. Ahmedi then forwarded Mujahid's email to the full Taliban mailing list, but rather than using the BCC function, or blind carbon copy which keeps email addresses private, Ahmedi made the addresses public.

BMI Assistant Editor Julia Seymour appeared on "Your World" with Neil Cavuto to discuss the media's coverage of the Fiscal Cliff on November 15.  Seymour cited a BMI study which found that the three major networks blamed Congress 16 more times than they blamed President Obama for the approaching Fiscal Cliff. (Video below)BMI's Julia Seymour on "Your World" with Neil CavutoSeymour pointed out the double standard the media have when it comes to the Fiscal Cliff. By KEVIN ROBILLARD | 11/16/12 4:38 PM EST Sen.-elect Ted Cruz believes Mitt Romney got a little too close to Barack Obama in the third presidential debate. “I’m pretty certain Mitt Romney actually French-kissed Barack Obama,” Cruz said in a speech at the Federalist Society’s annual conference Friday. Cruz said that conservatives failed to make their case to the American people, leaving Romney no choice but to move toward the president. “We didn’t win the argument, we didn’t even make the argument” throughout much of 2012, Cruz said. But in the first debate, he argued, that changed. “It was the...

John McCain (R-Ariz) as a racist, a sexist, and said that his criticism of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice amounted to mugging and battering. “There is a clear, a clear in my opinion, sexism and racism that goes with these comments that are being made by – unfortunately – Senator McCain and others,” Congressional Black Caucus chairwoman Rep. VIENNA (Reuters) - Iran is set to sharply expand its uranium enrichment in an underground plant after installing all the centrifuges it was built for, a U.N. report said, a move likely to increase Western alarm about Tehran's nuclear course. It also showed that Iran's stockpile of its most sensitive nuclear material - which could relatively quickly be processed further to bomb-grade uranium - had grown and was getting closer to an amount that could be sufficient for a nuclear weapon. The latest quarterly International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report on Iran came 10 days after the re-election of U.S....

Law enforcement officials have charged 12 people with using absentee ballots to skew an election in Georgia. “As a result of their grand jury findings, 12 individuals were indicted in that particular matter and we will be trying that case in a court of judicial law instead of a court of public opinion,” District Attorney Joe Mulholland told the local TV station, WALB. A pair of foreign-owned solar companies that benefited from a combined $84 million in Energy Department tax credits have announced they will lay off employees. One of the companies, German-owned SolarWorld, was integral in the fight for tariffs against the importation of Chinese photovoltaic solar panels. The other, Chinese company SunTech, blamed those tariffs for its own layoffs. Both companies benefited from the Energy Department’s stimulus-funded Advanced Energy Manufacturing (48C) Tax Credit. The 48C credit is worth up to 30% of the cost of manufacturing qualifying green energy projects. SolarWorld received a credit worth $82 million, while SunTech’s was worth...

Los Angeles City Council President Herb Wesson warned Friday that a failure to win passage of a half-cent sales tax hike would result in the layoffs of up to 1,400 city employees next year. including 500 in the Police Department, if the March 5 ballot measure is not successful.  Villaraigosa has called on the council to reaffirm its support for staffing at the Police Department, which has had 9,963 rank-and-file officers in recent years. Bible Publisher Wins Stay of Obama Contraceptive Mandate By Stephen Dinan - November 16, 2012 A federal court on Friday said a Bible publisher doesn't have to offer health insurance coverage for contraceptives if it has moral objections, blocking the Obama administration from imposing its contraceptive care mandate on the business for now. Judge Reggie B. Walton said the Obama administration's contraceptive coverage mandate puts companies that companies such as Illinois-based Tyndale House Publishers in an "untenable position" — either violate their beliefs, or face major penalties for failing to comply. LONDON (AP) — Britain's High Court ruled Friday that a Christian was unfairly demoted for posting his opposition to gay marriage on Facebook. Adrian Smith was stripped of his management position with the Trafford Housing Trust in northwest England and had his salary cut by 40 percent after posting that gay weddings in churches were "an equality too far." The trust said Smith broke its code of conduct by expressing religious or political views that might upset co-workers. But High Court judge Michael Briggs ruled Friday that Smith had been "taken to task for doing nothing wrong" and found his...
