Every company that issues mortgages will be required to follow the new guidelines. Loans that meet the agency’s new lending criteria now will be called a “qualified mortgage.” Qualified mortgages will be given protection for the bank from lawsuits filed by troubled borrowers or buyers of mortgage-backed bonds. A “qualified mortgage” will consist of the following: • Lenders must prove that income and assets are sufficient to repay the loan (this applies to jumbo...

Individuals are sovereign – not the government Andrew Napolitano: 2nd Amendment protects our right to shoot tyrants, not deer The right of the people to keep and bear arms is an extension of the natural right to self-defense and a hallmark of personal sovereignty. It is specifically insulated from governmental interference by the Constitution and has historically been the linchpin of resistance to tyranny. "What we need to do is change the way in which people think about guns, especially young people, and make it something that's not cool, that it's not acceptable, it's not hip to carry a gun anymore, in the way...

Say, anyone interested in actual facts about guns, violence, and schools? If so, Reason's Nick Gillespie and Amanda Winkler have five key points about the actual status of school safety and the impact of guns on American society. The truth is that violent crime and mass shootings have declined since the 1990s, even with events like Newtown and Aurora. Schools are safer now than in decades. However, those data points don't lend themselves to hysterics hoping to panic people into bad legislation that won't solve the problems they supposedly address: CLICK ABOVE LINK FOR THE VIDEO 1.
