It’s just fine that Elizabeth Warren apologized to the Cherokees for falsely claiming to be one of them. It might be helpful if she also apologizes to the people of Massachusetts. She could have done it Saturday when she made her presidential campaign official, but she didn’t. Instead she reworked and expanded her attack on wealthy Americans who, she said, are not paying their fair share. Massachusetts is not Virginia where Gov. Ralph Northam, Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax and Attorney General Mark Herring, all Democrats, are all caught up in scandals of black face and sexual- harassment charges

WASHINGTON - China is developing sophisticated space capabilities such as “satellite inspection and repair” and debris cleanup — “at least some of which could also function” as weapons against U.S. satellites, according to the Defense Intelligence Agency. (Please see full article at the link)

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) attacked Senate Republicans Monday for sitting on a bill that in actuality has not passed the House of Representatives. Ocasio-Cortez received thousands of retweets for a tweet claiming that the "For the People Act" had passed the House with over two hundred cosponsors. "Now it’s at the Senate," she wrote. "GOP is calling getting money out of politics a ‘power grab.'"

olocaust victims killed in Nazi gas chambers "found some sense of relief in knowing what was happening," making them better off than refugees denied entry to Australia, a prominent Australian doctor was quoted as saying Monday. Dr. Paul Bauert, a president of the Australian Medical Association, later apologized for his comments to Sky News in the face of condemnation, according to media reports in Israel and Australia. The interview dealt with asylum seekers on Manus Island and Nauru and a proposed law addressing their detention, according to Haaretz. “The longer these people are there, the worse they are getting. We...

AIPAC doesn’t contribute directly to candidates. Which pro-Israel groups do? By Raymond ArkeFebruary 11, 2019 16 hours ago David Friedman, United States Ambassador to Israel, speaking at the AIPAC Policy Conference (Michael Brochstein/SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images) Freshmen Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) garnered considerable criticism from Democrats and Republicans over the weekend for comments she made regarding the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) deemed by many as anti-Semitic. Omar tweeted that AIPAC, a group which doesn’t actually have its own PAC, was paying Congress members, specifically Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), to support Israel. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in a...

The Post-Standard is dropping the comic strip Non Sequitur after the artist’s Sunday strip took a hidden profane shot at President Trump. Sunday’s strip, a takeoff on Leonardo da Vinci’s drawings, contained a hard-to-read message suggesting the president “Go f--- yourself.” The artist, Wiley Miller, teased his readers about the message in a tweet Sunday: “Some of my sharp-eyed readers have spotted a little Easter egg from Leonardo Bear-Vinci. Can you find it?” Said Trish LaMonte, vice president of content for The Post-Standard and Syracuse.com: “Mr. Miller made a juvenile and vulgar decision that does not meet our standards for...

Four staffers to Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax have quit in the wake of allegations of sexual assault and rape made against him days ago. Two of the three employees on Fairfax's state payroll and two employees working for his political action committee (PAC) have departed. As a part-time lieutenant governor, Fairfax keeps a small team of aides working on his behalf in Richmond. "The Lt. Governor appreciates the amazing service of his former staff members. Their work and dedication was incredible. He certainly wishes them well and appreciates their service to the Commonwealth of Virginia," said his political spokeswoman,...
  • Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: 'Reconquistador!' [taking Southwest U.S.A. back for Mexico]

Last week's most overlooked news was Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealing herself as a champion of the "Reconquista" war against Europeans. The Mexican Reconquista movement is an openly admitted effort by Hispanic activists to take "back" California (Southern especially), New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas through immigration and activism. This is one of several driving forces behind allowing illegal immigration. Ocasio-Cortez (D-Venezuela) dominated news on February 7 appearing at a rally to abolish or defund the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. The same day, Ocasio-Cortez joined other liberal Members of Congress in unveiling her "Green New Deal" (green evidently referring to envy,...

Trump in 2020 might have controversially slurred his future Democratic rival as a socialist, radical late-term abortion advocate, open borders chauvinist, a Medicare destroyer who wished to make it free for everyone, or wacko environmentalist intent on banning gas and diesel engines. Now he won’t have to smear anyone: the Democrats have largely done that to themselves. Policy-wise the 2020 choice will be between Trump’s mostly doctrinaire conservatism, spiced with populist trade and immigration agendas, and what is a now a new Democrat orthodoxy of Bernie Sanders’ adolescent socialism and incoherent Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Neverland something or other. Trump legitimately will...

In 2016, critics of Trump warned his Christians supporters that as president he would revert to his secularist New York roots. He hasn’t. The confidence the religious right placed in him has been largely vindicated. He has turned out to be the most reliable defender of religious freedom since Ronald Reagan. Barack Obama had spent his presidency marginalizing Christians in his quest to “fundamentally transform” the country. Had Hillary won, she would have intensified that assault. Trump has given Christians some breathing room in the culture war, as evident in his remarks during last week’s National Prayer Breakfast. He made...

Sean Hannity, the Fox News host, on Monday blasted the “garbage compromise” after congressional negotiators said they reached an “agreement in principle” on border security funding that includes more than $1.3` billion for physical barriers along the U.S.-Mexico border. During his Monday night broadcast, Hannity broke into President Trump’s speech in El Paso, Texas, to criticize the reported deal to avoid a second government shutdown.

n his acceptance speech for the 1970 Nobel Prize in literature, Alexander Solzhenitsyn colorfully described the interdependence between lies and tyranny: We should not forget that tyranny does not exist alone and cannot exist alone: it is inevitably interwoven with lie. Between them is the most virtual, the deepest of natural bonds: tyranny has no other cover but lie, and lie cannot be sustained without tyranny. The first phase of the ideological assault embodies a combination of myths and fictions. Myths represent the theological aspect of the socialist religion -- the source of conviction for true believers. The “fictions” are...

Today is Lincoln's Birthday February 12. Up until the 80's it was celebrated in schools. It wasn't a day off, but instead was a day to look at our history, wear construction stovepipe hats and discuss a tough time in our society's past. February was a great month when I was growing up: First Lincoln's Birthday February 12 which was not a day off but all the bakeries had log shaped cakes YUM Second was Valentine's Day, February 14 when Grandmother served Winter strawberry short cake with heart shaped shortbread and strawberries and real whipped cream. We traded valentines and...

Sporting a Make America Great Again cap, the man shoved and swore at the BBC's Ron Skeans and other news crews before being pulled away. Mr Skeans said the "very hard shove" came from his blindside. "I didn't know what was going on." Mr Trump saw the attack and confirmed Mr Skeans was well with a thumbs up after it happened.

A remarkable poll taken by Gallup shows just how seriously our borders are under threat of being overwhelmed. Gallup asked the whole population of Latin America. There are 33 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Roughly 450 million adults live in the region. Gallup asked them, "Would you like to move to another country permanently if you could?" A whopping 27% said "yes." So this means roughly 120 million would like to migrate somewhere. The next question Gallup asked was, "Where would you like to move?" Of those who want to leave their Latin American country permanently, 35% said...

Scott Morrison has suffered a historic defeat over medical transfers for asylum seekers — despite 11th hour legal advice that it could be “unconstitutional”. It makes the Morrison Government the first to lose a vote on a substantive piece of legislation in the lower house since 1929. Labor and crossbench MPs voted to pass the legislation just before 6.15pm AEDT. All amendments passed 75 votes to 74. Constitutional law expert Anne Twomey told News Corp the government would be under pressure to resign or hold an election if it lost the vote after it warned the bill could be “unconstitutional”.
