Two women from the Dominican Republic told The Daily Caller that Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez paid them for sex earlier this year. In interviews, the two women said they met Menendez around Easter at Casa de Campo, an expensive 7,000 acre resort in the Dominican Republic. They claimed Menendez agreed to pay them $500 for sex acts, but in the end they each received only $100. Read more:

November 1, 2012 White House Silent as Benghazi Questions Mount By Guy Benson 10/31/2012   Last week, we alerted you to the infuriating, heart-wrenching revelation that at least three specific requests for military help from besieged Americans in Benghazi were rejected by someone in the chain of command.  This decision was made despite the established fact that US officials in Tripoli, the State Department, the Pentagon and the White House were watching the horror unfold in real time, via a video feed from an unmanned drone hovering over the city.  Democrats won't say if that drone was armed (and...

Dominican hookers, to be specific. This is what were hearing about the sex scandal involving a powerful senator in a headline being touted by Drudge, with a story by the Daily Caller promised late tonight. UPDATE: Shortly after the Drudge Report headline went up, my associate Ali Akbar got a tip that the story involved Sen. Menendez of New Jersey and at least one prostitute with whom he trysted on a taxpayer-funded trip to the Dominican Republic. Within one hour, Akbar had confirmed this with other sources, and we understand that numerous reporters in D.C. have heard similar reports. UPDATE...
  • Google's data-collecting habits drawing more scrutiny

Earlier this month, European Union regulators informed Google that theyre unhappy with Googles new privacy policy and that it will need to make changes to better protect the privacy of its users. The concern arises over how Google is collecting users' data and what theyre doing with it, and in turn how theyre informing their users on how theyre collecting and what theyre using it for. The EU would like clearer language, in a more understandable less legalese format, so that the average user can clearly understand whats taking place when the use Google products. This all comes about because of...

Polls: Obama Ahead in 3 Key States Romney Moves Within Striking Distance in New Hampshire, Wisconsin, but Iowa Looks Out of Reach BY NEIL KING JR. President Barack Obama holds narrow leads over Mitt Romney in the battleground states of Wisconsin, New Hampshire and Iowa as the candidates enter the campaign's final days, new polling shows. In Wisconsin and New Hampshire, Mr. Romney remains well within striking distance, despite signs that opinions are hardening and the pool of undecided voters remains small, according to new Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Marist Poll surveys. Mr. Obama holds a 49%-46% lead in Wisconsin among...

"I really believe, having read it, that it is the smoking gun warning here. You've got this emergency meeting in Benghazi, less than a month before the attack. At that briefing, the people are told that there are ten, ten, Islamic militias and al-Qaeda groups in Benghazi. The consulate can not sustain a coordinated attack and they need extra help. This information goes directly to the office of the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. So, again, you have the culpability of the State Department. This is a very specific warning that they're in trouble, they need help and they see...

Poll: Single Digit Race For Pennsylvania's 20 Electoral Votes Paul Steinhauser (CNN) Need more evidence that Pennsylvania won't be a cakewalk this time around for President Barack Obama? Then here you go: A Franklin and Marshall College poll of likely Keystone State voters released Wednesday indicates Obama with a 49%-45% edge over Republican nominee Mitt Romney. The president's four point advantage is within the survey's sampling error and is down from a nine point lead he had last month. The new Franklin and Marshall poll is the fifth non-partisan, live operator survey released this month in Pennsylvania to indicate...

Iowa has joined Texas in warning international election observers of possible criminal prosecution if they violate state laws and get near polling places on Election Day. Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz like Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott last week on Tuesday threatened Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe election observers with arrest if they came within 300 feet of a polling places entrance, in violation of state law. (In Texas, its 100 feet.)

Pastor Joseph Lowery, a civil rights movement hero who delivered the benediction at President Obamas inauguration, reportedly said that he is shocked that any black Americans would stay home with Obama on the ballot and suggested that all or most white people would go to hell. The local outlet paraphrases Lowerys comments. Lowery said that when he was a young militant, he used to say all white folks were going to hell, the Monroe County Reporter (Ga.) says in covering a rally in Forsyth, Georgia. Then he mellowed and just said most of them were. Now, he said, he is...

AUSTRALIA'S newest Victoria Cross recipient is now a part-time soldier working in the mines of Western Australia. Royal Australian Regiment corporal Daniel Keighran received the nation's highest military honour today for repeatedly drawing enemy fire during a 2010 battle in which one of his mates was killed. He said his company faced at least 100 insurgents during the battle at Derapet, in Oruzgan province, Afghanistan. "Training took over," Corporal Keighran said. "There was a situation and that's the way I reacted.'' Governor-General Quentin Bryce presented the award this morning "for the most conspicuous of gallantry and extreme devotion to duty''...

Catholic Online, October 30, 2012 LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Terrorists with ties to Hezbollah and Iran are infiltrating Lebanese communities in Mexico, hoping to blend into the population there. Teaming up with the all-too powerful drug cartels, terrorists are having themselves smuggled into the US in exchange for money and weapons which fuel cartel violence in Mexico. The ties are blatant. Earlier this year, an Iranian operative was arrested for plotting to assassinate a Saudi Arabian diplomat in Washington. The would-be killer had hired Mexican cartel assassins to assist him. He was only one of several people who...

If the euro survives in its current form, then Mario Draghi, president of the European Central Bank, will surely have earned his place in the history books as one of the chiefs of its salvation. A year ago, monetary union looked as if it was heading for certain death, with the European banking system in apparent meltdown and extreme divergence in monetary conditions across the single currency area. In all but name, monetary union had already ceased to exist. Action by the ECB, first with the cash-for-debt Long Term Refinancing Operation and, more recently, the promise of unlimited bond purchases,...

  • ABC Story of 4 Year-Old Crying Over 'Bronco Bamma' and Mitt Romney Seems to Betray NPR's

A video of a mother trying to console her crying four year-old daughter about the fact that the election campaign season will soon be over has allegedly gone viral. I say "allegedly" because the original of the video involved shows ove 700,000 hits at its YouTube results listing, but only about 19,000 at the original video itself. Anyway, the four-year old is Abigael Evans, and her reaction was to hearing yet another NPR report on the election in the car while riding with her mother Elizabeth. ABC's Jilian Fama has covered the story. A revealing statement from Abigael's mother appears...

It comes down to numbers. And in the final days of this presidential race, from polling data to early voting, they favor Mitt Romney. He maintains a small but persistent polling edge. As of yesterday afternoon, there had been 31 national surveys in the previous seven days. Mr. Romney led in 19, President Obama in seven, and five were tied. Mr. Romney averaged 48.4%; Mr. Obama, 47.2%. The GOP challenger was at or above 50% in 10 polls, Mr. Obama in none.

The budget unveiled this morning estimates that public debt will reach 189pc of GDP next year (not 179pc). The budget deficit will be 5.2pc (not 4.2pc). The economy will shrink 4.5pc next year (not 3.8pc). Unemployment is already 25.1pc and 55.6pc for youth. Just for the record: The EU-IMF Troika originally said that the economy would contract by just 2.6pc in 2010, before growing by 1.1pc in 2011, and 2.1pc in 2012. In fact Greek GDP contracted by 4.5pc in 2010, 6.9pc in 2011, and will shrink 6.5pc this year, and now 4.5pc next year. The cumulative error is colossal....

This followed the damning memo that was released today signed by Ambassador Stevens in August and sent to the State Department. The classified cable on August 15 warned the Obama Administration that the Benghazi consulate could not withstand a "coordinated attack."Link to YouTube video of Catherine Herridge interview

Republican Chuck Hagel is going to endorse Democrat Bob Kerrey. That's the word from the Kerrey camp this evening, as they prepare to make a "major" announcement tomorrow. A spokesman with Kerrey's campaign says Hagel a former Nebraska U.S. Senator and a Republican will back Kerrey in his race against Republican Deb Fischer. Hagel's endorsement comes as polls have shown the race between Kerrey and Fischer tightening down the home stretch. Hagel's backing could go a long way with independents. And, it clearly underscores Kerrey's contention that he is the person in the race who can win Republican...
