  • Black Gun Buying Frenzy [Vanity]

    12/18/2012 7:56:40 PM PST · by AdamBomb · 48 replies
I went to a gun shop this evening in the "South". This is a well-known gun shop but it's in the middle of freakin nowhere. Drove an hour to get there. I went there tonight because, yesterday morning, I bought a "piece" over the phone so they had it locked up in the back for me. So I had to pick it up tonight. But the real story was I couldn't believe how many people were in there. There were at least 150 people in there. All the parking spaces in the lot were full. Black guns were flying off...

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has accepted all 29 recommendations in a report into a deadly attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya. The report found that systemic failures at the state department led to insufficient security at the consulate. But it found no individual official ignored their duties, and the review has not suggested disciplinary action. The 11 September attack saw Ambassador Christopher Stevens, as well as three other Americans, killed.

Big budget deficits haven't always been with us. From the end of the Eisenhower years through the Carter presidency, the deficit averaged a modest 1.4% of the nation's economic output. The budget was nearly balanced in seven of the 20 years from 1960 to 1979. And, as Bill Clinton reminds at every opportunity, the U.S. government was in surplus for four years at the end of his presidency.

Al-Shabaab, the Somali branch of al Qaeda, ousted American jihadi Abu Mansour al-Amriki from the group after he posted online video messages contrary to the terrorist organization's teachings, CNN reported. Al-Amriki, who was born Omar Hammami in a suburb of Mobile, Alabama, was, for a period of time, a key recruiter for the group, attracting Americans of Somali heritage to the African country to fight for the terrorist group. In March, however, al-Amriki posted a video saying he felt like he was at risk. "I feel that my life may be endangered by Harakat Shabaab al-Mujahideen due to some differences...

While Newtown buried two more young victims Tuesday in the shooting massacre, authorities said they found no evidence the gunman who killed 27 people was being medicated for mental illness. Investigators searching the Connecticut home gunman Adam Lanza shared with his mother, Nancy Lanza, seized cellphones, computers and computer games, but found nothing at the residence to indicate he was taking medication, Hearst Connecticut Newspapers reported. Authorities armed with search warrants are still working to obtain the 20-year-old man's medical records, according to the report. Lanza's parents told friends and divorce mediators that their son had Asperger's syndrome, a form...
  • Mark Levin on Newtown speech: ‘How come Obama did not mention Fort Hood?’

On his Monday radio show, conservative talker Mark Levin was critical of President Barack Obama’s Sunday address regarding the heartbreaking Newtown, Conn., shooting deaths of 20 children and six adult victims. Obama’s address, Levin said, omited any mention of the November 2009 shooting at Fort Hood, Texas — which killed 13 and wounded 29 others. “Over the weekend, the president was speaking and, really, when he got to his politics it was just stomach-turning,” Levin said. “There he is, in the middle of that little town … and he named four instances in where there were, what — massacres? But...

WASHINGTON (JTA) -- In the wake of the shooting rampage in Newtown, Conn., Jewish groups are looking to build alliances and back legislation to strengthen gun control laws. Rabbi David Saperstein, the director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, said that his group is assembling a coalition that would be ready to act once the right legislation comes along. “The point now is to create the atmosphere in which there is a demand for action, using our voices, organizing the parents in our pews,” Saperstein told JTA in an interview. “When the parents across America start crying out...

“From what I've been told, Adam was aware of her petitioning the court for conservatorship and (her) plans to have him committed," Flashman told FoxNews.com. "Adam was apparently very upset about this. He thought she just wanted to send him away. From what I understand, he was really, really angry. I think this could have been it, what set him off.” A senior law enforcement official involved in the investigation confirmed that Lanza's anger at his mother over plans for “his future mental health treatment” is being looked at as a possible motive for the deadly shooting. Flashman was told...

LITTLE Maddalena Douse is one of the smallest premature babies ever to survive in the UK — thanks to a pair of SCISSORS. When she was born six months ago at just 23 weeks she was so tiny docs did not know if they should try to save her. But when they put her on the scales she weighed 1lb, the minimum weight for a baby to be considered viable — so they fought for her. Only when she was safely on a ventilator did medics discover the scissors had been accidentally left on the scales and that 8in Maddalena...
