  • New NRA ad: Politicians 'don't rule' Americans or 'give us rights' (This is a great ad)

A new NRA ad that highlights comments made by President Obama and former President Bill Clinton reminds politicians that they do not "rule" Americans, nor "give" Americans rights, The Blaze reported Wednesday. "In a recent closed-door speech to donors, politicians and media, Bill Clinton spoke about American gun owners: 'A lot of these people … all they’ve got is their hunting and their fishing,'" the ad says. "And we all remember Barack Obama’s 2008 comments to a room of San Francisco elites: 'It’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion,'" the ad continues. "The arrogance...

It wasn't surprising that Big Labor Democrats would choose a labor union lawyer to present the White House talking points to justify his unconstitutional appointments of National Labor Relations Board members. However, when the labor concluded her opening remarks saying that congress having hearing regarding unconstitutional appointments made them shills for the 1%, she lost a lot of credibility. If she any credibility left after her opening statements, it was soon to be destroyed as were the White House talking points that she was shilling. Who in his right mind would ever buy The Boston Globe? Maybe the physical plant of the “newspaper” on Morrissey Boulevard, but the actual product? Let me put it another way: When was the last time you bought an actual copy of The Boston Globe? Why would you, it only encourages them. Has ever a publication fallen so far, so fast? It’s the Carnival Triumph of the newspaper business. It’s the Patriots in the second half against the Ravens. Iran has begun installing advanced centrifuges at its main uranium enrichment plant, the U.N. nuclear watchdog said on Thursday, a defiant step that will worry Western powers ahead of a resumption of talks with Tehran next week. In a confidential report, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said 180 so-called IR-2m centrifuges and empty centrifuge casings had been put in place at the facility near the central town of Natanz. They were not yet operating. If launched successfully, such machines could enable Iran to speed up significantly its accumulation of material that the West fears could be used to devise...

I’m trying to imagine Amanpour giving an equally non-judgmental and upbeat birthday tribute to, say, John Boehner. Amanpour tweeted birthday wishes for the 89-year-old Zimbabwe leader along with this online video, which is one dash news report but mostly sounds like a toast at someone’s 33 Years of Brutal Power-Mongering Party. Amanpour’s intro encompasses the tone pretty well: “Imagine a world leader four years older than the Pope who’s been in power for 33 years and shows no sign of calling it quits,” Amanpour said. “Zimbabwe’s president, Robert Mugabe, is 89 today, and celebrated modestly by his standards — with...

The White House is said to be considering handing over details of the Benghazi scandal to Republicans rather than give up the secrets of its drone strikes. The move is infuriating Democrats who have long called for full disclosure of classified legal memos in relation to targeted killings. nstead President Obama seems content to risk their wrath to win more support for Mr Brennan.

ATLANTA (AP) — It turns out this year's flu shot is doing a startlingly dismal job of protecting older people, the most vulnerable age group. The vaccine is proving only 9 percent effective in those 65 and older against the harsh strain of the flu that is predominant this season, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday. Health officials are baffled as to why this is so. But the findings help explain why so many older people have been hospitalized with the flu this year.

SALT LAKE CITY — Permits wouldn't be necessary for most people to carry concealed weapons in Utah if a state lawmaker gets his way. Rep. John Mathis, R-Vernal, is sponsoring H.B. 76, which allows essentially any law-abiding citizen over the age of 21 in the state to carry a gun, openly or concealed. Utah would effectively become a "constitutional carry" state if the measure is approved. That term refers to a state where carrying a concealed weapon isn't restricted by law. It's unclear whether the bill can clear the Utah Legislature.

The liberal media manifest their bias not primarily by writing things that aren’t true–although that sometimes happens–but rather, by selecting what they do and do not report as news. Major scandals and events of great importance are simply ignored if they do not reflect well on the Democratic Party, while minor stories receive endless attention if they advance the liberal agenda. You could illustrate this every day; here are a few examples from today’s news. One of the most absurd non-stories of recent years involved a 2011 proposal by Scott Walker’s administration to sell more than 30 decrepit power plants...

It’s no secret government schools have put President Obama on a pedestal unlike any other national leader. Schools have been named after him long before his retirement or death, which is rather unprecedented. Students have been led in organized chants of his honored name. There are lesson plans comparing him to Abraham Lincoln. But sometimes school employees take the rhetoric a bit too far and wind up in propaganda territory. For two months, reporters and lawmakers have ignored a devastating report from the federal government itself, which warns that the nation's current fiscal policy will lead to economic collapse. The Government Accountability Office (GAO)—the personal auditor of President Obama and the federal government—released its assessment of the federal government on January 17, 2013. The report's findings illuminate just how dire America's spending problem is and, therefore, how little the current cuts debated by Congress do to fix it. The findings of the paper include these excerpts (emphasis added):

Politicians know that America’s gun owners are beside themselves in opposition to gun and magazine bans. The fight to force the federal beast back inside its constitutional cage is continuing in the Sooner State. On Tuesday, a bill focused on preventing the enforcement of ObamaCare mandates inside the sovereign borders of Oklahoma passed out of the House Public Health committee. By a vote of 7-3, the Public Health committee approved House Bill 1021, and it will now be considered by the House Calendar Committee. State Rep. Mike Ritze, a board-certified family practice physician and surgeon, is the author of the nullification bill. HB 1021 nullifies the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, better known as “ObamaCare,”...

The attorney, the civil attorney Benjamin Crump, the Martin family hired to pursue financial justice against various interests in the Trayvon Martin shooting is now fighting to stop his deposition about the circumstances surrounding the very witness, “DeeDee” (W8) that he identified to create the arrest affidavit that frames the entire cause for financial justice, vis-a-vi arrest/trial, which lead to the civil claims he desires, and are contained in the probable cause affidavit. Talk about ridiculous circular logic. Subsequently, the attorney representing and attempting to hide Benjamin Crump, now argues the defense is not asserting any affirmations of contradictions between...

The Ohio man known to America as “Joe the Plumber” is raffling off an AR-15 rifle to protest discussion of a ban on assault weapons. “Despite what national news commentators say, the AR 15 is NOT an ‘assault weapon’ or ‘weapon of mass destruction,’” he wrote at JoeForAmerica.com. “In honor of this magnificent rifle, JoeForAmerica.com is giving away a new AR 15 to the lucky man or woman who wins this drawing.” Joe the Plumber, whose real name is Samuel Joe Wurzelbacher, sprang onto the national stage during the 2008 campaign when President Barack Obama and then-GOP presidential candidate John...

Add Bob Dole—former senator, former presidential candidate, grievously wounded in World War II—to the list of Republican heavy-hitters urging the Senate to confirm the embattled Chuck Hagel as defense secretary. “Hagel’s wisdom and courage make him uniquely qualified to be Secretary of Defense and lead the men and women of our armed forces,” Dole said in a statement released by the White House. “Chuck Hagel will be an exceptional leader at an important time.”

WASHINGTON -- A sharp jump in the cost of vegetables led wholesale prices to rise at a seasonally adjusted rate of 0.2% in January compared with the previous month, the biggest increase since the summer, the Labor Department said Wednesday. The Producer Price Index for finished goods. one of several gauges of inflation, had dropped for three straight months, including a 0.3% decline in December, before January's rise. The main driver of January's increase was a 0.7% jump in food prices. The costs of fresh and dry vegetables were up 39% from December, as cold weather in California and elsewhere...

The list in full (English): 1. It is possible to know the intention and the mission of the drone by using the Russianmade “sky grabber” device to infiltrate the drone’s waves and the frequencies. The device is available in the market for $2,595 and the one who operates it should be a computer know-how. 2. Using devices that broadcast frequencies or pack of frequencies to disconnect the contacts and confuse the frequencies used to control the drone. The Mujahideen have had successful experiments using the Russian-made “Racal.” 3. Spreading the reflective pieces of glass on a car or on the...

Modern Republican leaders, with the exception of the Reagan Administration, have been partners in the expansion of government, indeed in the growth of a government-based “ruling class.” They have relished that role despite their voters. Thus these leaders gradually solidified their choice to no longer represent what had been their constituency, but to openly adopt the identity of junior partners in that ruling class. Republican leaders neither parry the insults nor vilify their Democratic counterparts in comparable terms because they do not want to beat the ruling class, but to join it in solving the nation’s problems.... In a blatantly partisan move, the staff of the North Carolina State Board of Elections (SBE) successfully subverted state law to facilitate online voter registration in North Carolina by the 2012 Barack Obama campaign. In doing so they coordinated with partisans behind closed doors, lied about the NC Attorney General’s Office concurring with the SBE staff on the issue, and dodged oversight by their own board and the legislature. The end result was to add thousands of people to the North Carolina voter rolls illegally. The SBE staff’s audacity is so breath-taking that it’s hard to believe, so let us...

We’re hearing from the family of a man whose home is at the center of a scary late-night encounter with a total stranger. Police say a man was so intoxicated he thought he was trying to get into his home, which is actually a block away. But the elderly homeowner thought he was a burglar, so he fired a warning shot through his front door. It happened around 1 a.m. Saturday off West Platte Ave in Colorado Springs. A drunken man mistook the house for his. Knocking on the door turned into pounding, then running charges as he tried to...

The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits rose more than expected last week, but still remained at levels consistent with a steady improvement in labor market conditions. Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 20,000 to a seasonally adjusted 362,000, the Labor Department said on Thursday. The prior week's claims figure was revised to show 1,000 more applications received than previously reported. Economists polled by Reuters had expected first-time applications to rise to 355,000. The increase in claims last week pushed them toward the upper end of their range for this year.
