The suspect in a synagogue vandalism act that forced the cancellation of a Democratic event is reportedly a former City Hall employee who worked on anti-hate crime issues and is a Democratic activist, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned. The New York Times and a Jewish couple helped the impoverished gay black man attend college where he studied African American studies, according to The Times. He resented New York liberals as patronizing, and railed against Israel and cultural appropriation, according to his Facebook profile. Before knowing his identity, politicians said the vandalism demonstrated why voting Democratic was needed and...

"Danny's jaw was broken in three places," his cousin said. "His earlobe had to be reattached." Danny Peterson went out for a fun treak-or-treat trip with his young cousin on Halloween in a typically peaceful New Jersey community. Instead, he ran into something completely horrifying. Peterson, 29, and his young cousin, Ethan Drey, who has autism, were brually beaten for a bag of candy on Halloween, police said. Peterson's face shows the effects of the assault: He suffered a broken jaw and he needed 28 stitches. The family has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for their medical...

Booker touts 'Spartacus moment' over Kavanaugh documents Mike Emanuel previews the final round of Kavanaugh hearings. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy on Thursday paved way for U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, a fellow Democrat, to simultaneously run for both U.S. Senate and the presidency in 2020. The governor signed a bill that many now call “Cory’s Law” that allows any member of the U.S. House or Senate from New Jersey to run for those offices in addition to pursuing the White House. Booker, who recently made trips to Iowa and New Hampshire in hopes of building nationwide support, is expected to seek the...

Gov. Phil Murphy (D) signed a bill on Thursday that would allow Sen. Cory Booker (D), who has been widely seen as a possible 2020 presidential contender, to run for president and the Senate simultaneously. The new bill would allow any U.S. senator or member of the U.S. House from the Garden State to appear on both the primary general election for their respective office in addition to the presidency, according to Politico. The bill, N.J. A4674 (18R), reportedly states that “no provision of [New Jersey’s election law], or of any other law, rule, or regulation shall be interpreted as...

Thursday on The View, the liberal hosts grilled their guest, FNC's Geraldo Rivera, for comments he made about the pipe bomb suspect, and the media’s attacks on President Trump. Rivera, who's not a conservative by any stretch of the imagination, still took heat because he defended President Trump and called out CNN for being partisan and biased. The interview started with Rivera disagreeing with the president about immigration and the caravan but he quickly got into a heated argument with the liberal hosts once they started talking about the mail bombs and the media. Co-host Joy Behar asked about Rivera’s...

A 10th child died Wednesday night from adenovirus after an outbreak at a New Jersey long-term care center that has infected 27 medically fragile children, the state Health Department said. The death came as the outbreak entered its sixth week at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. A second outbreak, believed to be a different type of adenovirus, was confirmed Wednesday at the Voorhees Pediatric Center in Camden County. Four children have been affected in Voorhees with a milder form of illness, Shereef Elnahal, the state health commissioner, said. Preliminary tests indicated it was not the same type of...

At a diner in Hooksett, New Hampshire, Hickenlooper told a woman: “I’m the governor of Colorado and I’m gonna run for president.” ... But then Hickenlooper hesitated, just a bit. “To be honest,” he told the woman behind the counter, “I haven’t made a final decision, and if I say I’m absolutely going to, then there are all kinds of legal ramifications. … I’m leaning strongly.” ... It’s the second time in the last 11 days that he referred to his presidential ambitions. The Des Moines (Iowa) Register reported on Oct. 19 that Hickenlooper seemed to be moving closer to...

-- Back-to-back weekends of shootings have left community leaders bewildered and angry over senseless violence they say plagues neighborhoods in the southern part of the city. The recent spate of violence includes Friday's fatal shooting of Jade Saunders, a 17-year-old Lincoln High School student, and a Sunday morning gunfire that left a 20-year-old woman and 2-year-old boy hospitalized, authorities said. "I am outraged by the senseless murder of a young queen whose life was just beginning to bloom and that of a 2-year-old could not be protected from gun violence," said Pamela Johnson, the director of the Jersey City Anti-Violence...

State lawmakers launching an investigation into how Gov. Phil Murphy's team handled a rape allegation against a former senior official must not use survivors as "spectacles for public consumption," according to a letter signed by 60 of the governor's female supporters who are questioning the motives behind the inquiry. The letter was sent to the 120 members of the state Legislature Monday before they were expected to vote to form a committee examining the response by law enforcement and Murphy senior staffers to the rape allegation against Albert J. Alvarez, a senior campaign staffer later hired as the Schools Development...

WEST ORANGE, New Jersey—In October 2002, Sen. Robert Torricelli (D-NJ), dogged by an ethics scandal, dropped his bid for re-election just weeks before the vote, saying that he didn’t want to cause further harm to his party and imperil its control of the chamber. He was replaced by former Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), who won the race like all New Jersey Senate Democrats have since 1972. Sixteen years later, Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ), who has served in public office since 1986, is facing the toughest reelection campaign of his life, due exclusively to an indictment on federal corruption charges. But...

"""‘They all look alike’? Where’s lib/media outcry over Hillary Clinton’s ‘joke’ about Cory Booker and Eric Holder? [video] """ So it turns out that Hillary Clinton not outright ruling out yet another run at the White House wasn’t even the most objectionable thing she’s said recently.

A vote could be coming soon on a proposed doctor-assisted suicide bill in New Jersey. The New Jersey Assembly has voted down an assisted suicide bill three times to date, the last time by only one vote. There have been changes in membership since the last election but strong opposition remains. Marie Tasy of the New Jersey Right to Life Committee warns the assembly bill is dangerous and a recipe for elder abuse, such as allowing a family member or caregiver to obtain the lethal drugs and to convince the patient to consume them.

The left’s Meltdown of Kavanaugh Rage Pot Luck & Hootenanny has certainly been entertaining. Corey Booker’s Concern Face alone was worth the price of admission. By far the most amusing has been the spectacle of liberal men falling on their Nerf swords to advance the fiction that Brett Kavanaugh was guilty of -- well, it doesn’t matter what, exactly. The important thing is that The Bitter Injustice enters the left/media bloodstream and becomes conventional wisdom. (This is something the left excels at: The Supreme Court “gave” George W. Bush the presidency. JFK was murdered by racist Texas conservatives, rather than...

The Cook Political Report has shifted Sen. Bob Menendez’s (D-N.J.) reelection race to a toss-up in New Jersey, a depressing development for Democrats, who are having to protect a seat in a deep-blue state when they need to focus on protecting members in states where President Trump is more popular. Menendez is facing a tough challenge from Republican Bob Hugin, a former pharmaceutical company CEO, in what’s become a closer-than-expected race in a state that Trump lost by 14 points in 2016. New Jersey hasn’t elected a Republican to the Senate since 1972.

The New Jersey Senate race is now looking like a toss-up, according to the the Cook Political Report — a sign that Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez is in serious troubles after years of questions about his ethics. Why it matters: If Republicans pick up that seat, a Senate majority would be out of reach for the Democrats. Federal prosecutors dropped their corruption charges against Menendez earlier this year, but the Senate Ethics Committee admonished him for accepting gifts from a friend. What the race comes down to is Menendez "and his ethics problems," Cook reports, and if the "voter who...

Authorities have recovered an eleventh suspected package in the widening investigation into a mass mail bombing campaign, with the latest target being Democratic Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, multiple sources told ABC News. The latest package addressed to Booker was found Friday morning at or near Opa-locka in South Florida, sources said.

Jay Webber, Republican candidate for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District, is the latest recipient of the left’s violent nature. “What the f*** is wrong with you….you scumbag. You BETTER hope you don’t win! Or else. How many kids do you have…. 7? Unlucky 7. This is what we think of you. Time to get out of politics,” the letter read. Seems unhinged New Jersey Democrats are taking the marching orders from Maxine Waters, Barrack Obama, Eric Holder and other Dem leaders to heart. To the Dems, even our children are not off limits.

Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) and his well-funded Republican opponent Bob Hugin squared off in their first and only debate in a closer-than-expected Senate race in deep-blue New Jersey. The candidates clashed over hyper-partisanship in politics, health care and their records. Menendez cast Hugin as a “greedy health care CEO” and acolyte of President Trump, while the Republican blasted Menendez over his corruption case that he argued “embarrassed” New Jersey. The race has drawn national attention and money, though Menendez is still favored to win a third term. Polls show Menendez with a single-digit lead, as Hugin has poured in $24...
