'Obscene' Gwen angers Muslims 01/08/2007 13:21 - (SA) Los Angeles - Gwen Stefani could be forced to cancel her Malaysian show after a Muslim group branded her "indecent" and "obscene". The singer, who is currently on the road with her Sweet Escape tour, is due to perform in Kuala Lumpur next month but the National Union of Malaysian Muslim Students want the concert scrapped because Gwen's image offends Islamic beliefs. Mohamad Hilmi Ramli said: "Her video clips promoting the event are too obscene. We want the organisers to cancel the concert, failing which we will ask the authorities to intervene."...

Musicians, some loosely defined, are mobilizing big-time this year to oust Bush. A CD, titled "Rock Against Bush, Vol. I," was released earlier this year, purportedly to raise money for organizations which encourage young people to vote. Bands such as Sum 41, Offspring, New Found Glory and Jello Biafra with D.O.A. are included on the compact disc – I believe the latter is also included on the dessert menu.

Well, well...looks like I have a few names to add to my boycott list. I just wanted to bring attention to a new CD I noticed in my local music store entitled "Rock Against Bush, Vol. 1". According to this site, "Money from sales of the album will go into print and television ads encouraging young people to vote Bush out of the White House. The Country Band 'The Dixie Chicks' will sing the national anthem along with numerous other singing acts before the game.ESPN has the pre game starting now at 11AM EST to 2:00 PM when ABC will take over for the rest of the way.Shania Twain, and the rock band 'No Doubt' have the halftime honors.
