Ted Nugent, an American music icon and true patriot, performed at the Midland Theater in downtown Kansas City Tuesday night, about the time Obama was getting settled in for an event the next day just blocks from the Nuge concert. What a great night and the commentary about Obama being in the same neighborhood were priceless!

Rocker Ted Nugent, who just made media waves with a printed reference of President Obama as a “subhuman mongrel,” now says he’s going stop calling people names — but apparently not the name “liar.” Mr. Nugent said in CNN: “Instead of using terms like ‘subhuman mongrel,’ I’m going to get right to the meat of the matter where our president is a liar. He lies about you can keep your doctor, period. Over and over again, he lies about Benghazi. He’s lying about the IRS.”

Rocker-turned-conservative commentator Ted Nugent is continuing to push his assertion that last month’s “not guilty” verdict in the George Zimmerman murder trial was the correct one, and that Zimmerman is still a victim in the wake of Trayvon Martin’s death. In an interview that aired on Saturday with Joe Pags on the syndicated program “The Weekend,” Nugent caught the attention of some left-wing storefronts when he made the suggestion in their view that Martin had gotten what he deserved. Nugent was responding to planned protests over his stance on the verdict before a concert scheduled for Tuesday at New Haven,...

After Ted Nugent made comments about the Trayvon Martin case that were seen as racist, a gun control group is demanding his removal from the National Rifle Association's board of directors. The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence has launched a petition to "publicly repudiate Ted Nugent's racist rhetoric" and have him kicked off of the NRA's board of directors. The "Cat Scratch Fever" rocker called Martin a "17-year-old dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe" in a column for conservative media website Rare. Nugent continued to say, "The only racism on that night was perpetrated by Trayvon Martin, and everybody knows it."...

NUGENT: Zimmerman verdict vindicates citizen patrols, self-defense by Ted Nugent Posted: July 15, 2013 12:21 pm So this guy’s neighborhood has been burglarized off and on and the residents are very concerned for their safety and well-being. Neighbors agree to upkick their vigilance and overall level of awareness to watch out for each other and keep an eye out for suspicious individuals and behavior. It could be considered by an official designation such as “Neighborhood Watch”, but officially labeled or not, it is the purest form of Americans watching out for each other and being good neighbors. Right-wing rocker Ted Nugent made a rambunctious stop on his “Great White Buffalo Tour” at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth on Saturday night. “Uncle Ted,” as he lovingly calls himself, took plenty of shots at President Barack Obama while his “hunting buddies” (the audience) rocked out to his raging glam metal. Nugent is notorious for running his mouth about topics like hunting laws, gun rights, and the current state of the government, and this Stockyards crowd was ready and waiting. Here are the top five jaw-dropping statements from Nugent on Saturday night:

BANGOR, Maine — Waterfront Concerts promoter Alex Gray said Sunday that he doesn’t plan to call off Ted Nugent’s Bangor performance despite remarks from two city councilors that the controversial rock star shouldn’t be allowed to play in the city. Last week, Councilor Charlie Longo emailed a letter to Gray saying that the concert series shouldn’t allow Nugent to perform because of comments he made during a National Rifle Association convention in St. Louis. Longo later posted the letter to his website.

Rocker Ted Nugent said he had an amicable meeting with the Secret Service on Thursday, seemingly ending the dustup over controversial comments Nugent made at the National Rifle Assn. convention earlier this week. Nugent, a longtime conservative and NRA board member who endorsed Mitt Romney for the Republican presidential nomination, had Democrats howling after comments in which he described the Obama administration as "vile, evil and America hating." If Obama won reelection, Nugent said he "will either be dead or in jail," and also called on conservatives to "ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November."

Americans have been used, strung along, ripped off, manipulated and frightened for decades by runaway gangs of power-mongering, deceptive politicians. I give you Social Security. As usual, it is the exact opposite of what we have been told. This classic Ponzi scheme is anti-social and insecure. President Franklin D. Roosevelt created Social Security 75 years ago. As with many other Fedzilla programs, Americans got suckered into believing Social Security was a healthy, wealthy and wise program. Social Security is bloated, broke and busted. FDR’s New Deal turned out to be the Rip-off Deal. There is an IOU for $2.5 trillion...

These are all uniquely American characteristics that are hard-wired into our genes thanks to our amazing, defiant forefathers. You must never forget that our forefathers courageously sailed across an unknown ocean, to an unknown land to establish a country free of tyranny, kings and emperors. They risked their lives, fortunes and families to create America, a radical experiment in self...

With Election Day now in sight, John McCain and Sarah Palin need to turn up the heat. Frustrated conservatives are waiting for some spirit and energy. This race is far from over. In fact, these final three weeks are the most critical of the campaign. What the McCain/Palin ticket needs to do is to genuinely address and capitalize on the tremendous level of disgust, distrust and dissatisfaction of the American people towards our government. As I wrote in my new book “Ted, White and Blue,” a May 20, 2008 Rasmussen poll found that 62% of the American public support fewer...

I like sizzling meat on the grill. Wild, huh? Anybody? Now, we all know ol' Nuge isn't by any stretch of the imagination a weirdo when it comes to an omnivorous diet. Especially here in the great Republic of Texas, a smiling, drooling preference for succulent, protein-rich, nutritious backstrap over aromatic mesquite coals is as American and natural and right as Mom, apple pie and the flag. It's beautiful, really. But a culture war rages against such universal, self-evident truths. It would be laughable if it were not so deranged. Some weirdos actually are on a crusade to outlaw the...

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Hours after Gov. Rick Perry kicked off his second full term in office, Ted Nugent helped him celebrate at a black-tie gala, but not all attendees were pleased by the rocker's performance. Perry's spokesman, Robert Black, downplayed the Tuesday-night incident. "Ted Nugent is a good friend of the governor's. He asked him if he would play...

Bringing a self-proclaimed extreme right-winger to speak at the University of Wisconsin created a spark that nearly blew the roof off Memorial Union Theater Wednesday night. The conservative student organization Collegians for a Constructive Tomorrow hosted a lecture by rock-legend turned political-activist Ted Nugent. Security guards and a police dog were present at the rowdy room filled with Nugent supporters and objectors of all ages. Nugent drew a large crowd from the UW campus and surrounding areas. Tom Talbot, who traveled from Portage to hear Nugent, said the rocker’s blunt opinions were entertaining.

Is this the Motor City Madman? Or is it the Fox News channel? Though he wasn't exactly hiding behind his patriotism at Sunset Station’s outdoor House of Blues stage on Thursday (fronting it is probably a better word), the S-word still fits “the Nuge,” who calls himself Uncle Ted these days. From the Ray Charles “America the Beautiful” opening, to walking out onstage carrying an American flag (albeit while wearing a Confederate flag T-shirt) and playing “The Star Spangled Banner” on his white Gibson guitar, Nugent was red, white and blue all over. In the three concerts that country star Toby Keith has performed at The Mark of the Quad-Cities in Moline in the past 27 months, he’s gone from cautious to confident to cocky. But a capacity crowd of about 10,000 blizzard-weary fans soaked in all that is Toby Keith on Saturday night, reveling in the Oklahoman’s greatest hits.
