<p>March 13, 2004 -- The mayor of Nyack and 19 other people seeking to legalize same-sex marriages filed suit yesterday against the state and the town clerk of Orangetown, who denied them license applications last week.</p> <p>At a news conference outside the Rockland County Courthouse, attorney Norman Siegel described his clients as the "Nyack 10" - a reference to the number of couples involved in the suit.</p>
