And why should I listen to Janeane Garofalo?

“You know, there’s nothing more interesting than seeing a bunch of racists become confused and angry at a speech,” began Janeane Garofalo in her interview with MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann Wednesday. “Let’s be very honest about what this is about,” she continued, “it’s not about bashing Democrats, it’s not about taxes, they have no idea what the Boston Tea Party was about.” “That’s right,” agreed a grinning Olbermann. “They don’t know their history at all,” the actress from such films as Mystery Men and, more recently, the acclaimed television show 24 ranted. “This is about hating a black man in the...

North Texas congressman helping sponsor "birther bill"

WASHINGTON — A North Texas congressman is among three Texans cosponsoring the so-called “birther bill” requiring presidential candidates produce a birth certificate to prove they meet constitutional requirements to be president. U.S. Rep. Randy Neugebauer’s support for the bill and comments about President Obama’s status as a natural born citizen drew fire from a liberal pundit who pronounced the congressman’s constituents “idiots” for electing him. Does Neugebauer, who represents Young County and part of Archer County, doubt Obama’s U.S. citizenship? “I don’t have the documentation one way or the other,” the Lubbock Republican said in a telephone interview. “And so...

Even Liberals Are Getting Tired Of Keith Olbermann

Newsbusters.org: Contrasting Olbermann’s struggles, Fox News is dominating more than ever. FNC has ranked fifth or higher for 24 straight weeks among all cable channels in prime time, while MSNBC ranks seven spots below the Food Channel. A typical ratings score looks something like this one from June 22: O’Reilly – 2.9 million, Olbermann – 1.2 million. It must be hard for Olbermann now that he doesn’t have George Bush to call a fascist or to compare to the Nazis. Crediting Obama with defeating Hezbollah in Lebanon’s elections just isn’t cutting it… Olbermann’s uncritical coverage of Obama is one reason...

10 Reasons Why Keith Olbermann Sucks

10. He loves himself. Not in the funny way either, but the creepy 'is he serious' kind of loving. 9. Common sense? No, it doesn't make a showing on Countdown nor, apparently, the Keith-ster's life. 8. His name isn't Richard. He's a dick, plain and simple. 7. Most of his tirades seem like the temper tantrums of an angry four-year-old who didn't get pudding after dinner. 6. Liberal? Please, this douche makes President Obama look like Rush Limbaugh.

Olbermann Caricatures Himself Again

One of my favorite Saturday Night Live skits is when Ben Affleck played Keith Olbermann. In this skit, Olbermann, played by Affleck, calls for no less than four people to quit or get fired. Those people include John McCain, Richard Wolfe, as well as his landlord. His landlord wouldn't allow Olbermann to keep his cat Ms. Precious Perfect. This "injustice" Olbermann compared to Pol Pot, slavery, and other historical injustices. Olbermann is bombastic, an ideologue, and he has a terrible habit of demanding that political opponents and others he disagrees with of being dismissed from their job.
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- MSNBC talking head Keith Olbermann has named pro-life nurse and blogger Jill Stanek the "Worst Person in the World" during that segment of his Thursday night broadcast. Stanek is the pro-life nurse who uncovered live birth abortions at a hospital in Chicago that led to a national law prohibiting the practice. On her blog, Stanek has noted how late-term abortion practitioner LeRoy Carhart of Nebraska is one of the few remaining people to do abortions so late in pregnancy now that George Tiller has been killed. As LifeNews.com has noted, Stanek posted pictures of Carhart's Belleview-based abortion...

Keith Olbermann: not necessarily the news (Mancow waterboarding faked?)

I dunno, maybe actual NBC reporters don't want to come on Keith Olbermann's show since he took to bellowing insults at them on the air while anchoring the network's coverage of the Republican convention last year. Whatever the reason, he's now apparently resorted to faking stories. The media-news site Gawker has been reporting for two days that the video of waterboarding you can see up above was faked. And, Gawker adds (though, it should be noted, without attribution), Olbermann knew it.

Olbermann Mentions Rush Limbaugh's Name, Over and Over Again

On his show last night, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann responded to a story on CityFile.com, about his previously unexplained absence for several nights in late April. CityFile's story, picked up on a variety of other blogs, quoted insiders who described a booking battle, which Olbermann lost, between Rachel Maddow's staff and Countdown's over Ben Affleck, who was promoting his movie, "State of Play. If it were me, I would take the high road and settle my grievance with the website in private. But that would by un-Alinsky of Olbermann to do.
