HE is only 36 but Trent Arsenault is already dad to 16 children – despite being a VIRGIN. In fact, the computer wiz has never even kissed a woman. But this hasn’t stopped him becoming one of the world’s most prolific sperm donors. He has spent years in “training” to boost his sperm count to spectacular levels and expects to father hundreds more children. American Trent describes himself as the world’s first “donorsexual” and his bizarre story is set to become a book and movie. -snip- He also insists on couples coming to his house so he can hand them...

Featured Term (selected at random):ONAN Son of Judah and Shua. When Onan's brother, Er, died, Judah ordered Onan to marry the widow, Tamar, and produce a son who would be Er's child, according to the levirate law (Deuteronomy 25:5-6). Onan married her but frustrated the law by withdrawal during intercourse. In punishment, Yahweh caused Onan's death (Genesis 38:8-10). In modern usage, onanism is variously used to mean contraception or masturbation. (Etym. Hebrew Onan.) All items in this dictionary are from Fr. It is a reckless analyst who risks reopening sixteenth-century disputes between Roman Catholics and the Protestant Reformers. I do so in the interest of a greater good, but my purpose is not to say who was right or who was wrong. I would simply like to explore why the Protestant churches maintained unity with the Catholic Church on the contraception question for four centuries, only to abandon this unity during the first half of the twentieth century. I write as a historian, not an advocate. (I am a “cradle Lutheran.”) Orders & Disorders To understand the change in Protestant thought...

Protestants and Birth Control In "Always a Sin" we saw how Christian teachings (i.e., Catholic) before the Schisms of the Eastern Churches and the Protestant Reformation were opposed to contraception and sterilization and that the Catholic Church maintains this view. In "Where Are We Going and Why Are We In This Hand Basket?" we saw how contraception and sterilization were introduced to the Christian community of the twentieth century by unbelievers desiring to modify social norms. It's time to look at how Protestant's throughout history have viewed sex deliberately made non- procreative. Let's start at the beginning... (Note: I owe...
  • Argument For Homosexuality In The Church

Adriane Thatcher has written a book (Savage Text) where in he offers an argument for the acceptance of homosexuality in the Christian church. His argument runs along the lines that we should look at the passages that condemn homosexuality as savage text (text that renders scripture holy) – in the same way we should look to passages in the Old Testament that show God’s predilection for child killing, his wrath and vengeful wars against local tribes as savage text. These texts should not be used by the church because they contradict the loving character and message of Jesus. It should...

LOS ANGELES — You drive a hybrid, eat organic, and are passionate about recycling. But how green is your love life? Think about those lovely Valentine's Day roses and the environmental costs of growing them and the carbon miles involved in flying them in from faraway lands. And what about used condoms, tossed into the toilet and making their way into sewers that perhaps pollute the ocean? If an ecologically sustainable life between the sheets hasn't crossed your mind, you're still a "total environmental neophyte," according to author Stefanie Iris Weiss.
