I’m almost glad that I missed the previous week’s AAR. There were a lot of interesting things that happened during these two Support the Troop Rallies and they kinda ran together. Other than the list of patriots, I’m not going to separate the two weeks. But if you look at the sky, Week 177 was sunny, and Week 178 was over cast. Week 177 roll call of our 9 Patriots included Sophia, Legionnaires Dave (Army WWII) and friend Janet, and Ed, (Army - WWII), Lurker Bill, and FReepers Cindy_True_Supporter, Fraxinus, {Mrs} Trooprally, aka [Mrs] T, and myself, [Mr] T. MOONBATs:...

I’m not sure where my friend from Upstate NY found this, but there is a new “Eagle” chopper (BELOW) roaming the skies in Afghanistan these days. It’s easy to pick out in the sky but I think the Taliban are running from it instead of taking a bead on it. Any one have any idea which branch of the service may have done this? Now that I have your attention, Olney's AAR. Bob, a WWII Navy Vet (BELOW) showed up a little before we broke up today. I had talked to him several months earlier during a Lions Club blood...

Two local Olney businesses, Fletcher’s BP and Greaves Auto Repairs & Appliance Center took it upon themselves to put up flags along the two main streets in Olney. About 5 years ago they got the necessary permits and paid all expenses to put the flags up from Memorial Weekend till after the July 4th holidays, and the again during the Labor Day Weekend. When flags get worn or faded, they replace them. You can see the flags in various pictures. In some pictures you need to look closely at them to see the flags in the back ground, but in...

Have you every met a person who personifies all the is good in America? In Olney that person is Clyde who passed away last Friday at age 89. Soon after getting back from the war, Clyde started Olney Electric and joined the Sandy Spring Legionnaires where he has been a member for the past 63 years. Clyde also started the Olney Chamber of Commerce in 1964. During the Chamber’s 40th Anniversary I had the honor of Clyde being my Honorary Co-President. We did a lot that year to celebrate the Chamber’s 40th. He is a Charter member (1946) of the...

The Quakers sure had a busy week. Good thing they are still hyped up after attending their Peace Conference. First was the Communists May Day celebration Friday, May First. Then they protest against the wight-wing-wadicals on Saturday, retreating to then enjoyed alcohol free margaritas on Cinco De Mayo. After all this expected fun they were still looking grumpy on Saturday. BELOW: Grumpy moonbats still holding strong at 10. Holding strong at 10 but are they having fun? Heck no. They still have to listen to the honks and air horns and see the waves of those who support us wight-wing-wadicals...

It’s a shame that Webster doesn’t define Quakers as a bunch of hypocrites. I learned this week that whenever the Legionnaires put flags on the graves of soldiers in the local Quaker cemetery, that the flags are promptly removed. No word as to where they go. This year the Quakers, and a local Episcopal Church, has told the Legionnaires, NO FLAGS THIS YEAR. This year, the Legionnaires will be adapting and overcoming the diversity. More after Memorial Weekend. BELOW: I mentioned “hypocrites” again because the Quakers once again had American Flags attached to their banners. Since this is their second...

Besides the warm weather, the 10 fair-weather moonbats were in force in Olney this Saturday, energized after attending the 24th Annual Peace, Justice & Environmental Conference. They learned by watching the actions of our current, possible illegal, POTUS. The learned that “peace” is bowing in submission to a Muslim sheik, justice is releasing CIA papers in anticipations of a political trial of those who protected America from terrorists, and that the environmental “global warming” is now “global weather change”, worthy of taking the CO2 from the trees that the need it to grow and create the oxygen that we need...

Family kept [Mrs] T at home and a cold rain kept me from taking pictures and kept us from putting up our banners. But the flags were up on our flanks and in our middle on the ‘grassy knoll’ behind our position were our smaller parade flags. Still the Olney patriots stood our ground. BELOW: Pictures from previous Olney FReeps. The Patriots this Saturday were Legionnaire, Halsey (USMC - Korea), along with Lurker Bill and FReepers Cindy_True_Supporter, Fraxinus, and myself. The moonbats numbered two. But since there was only one sign between them, the other just stood there and talked....

Moombats dream that the "V" sign is for peace, but it stands for VICTORY. Moonbats dream that the peace circle is an original symbol, but it is a anti-Christian up-side-down cross. Moonbats dream of "PEACE" but can’t “imagine” that disposing of a dictator and having peace with freedom takes boots on the ground with our Air Force over head and our Navy on the seas. Moonbats "IMAGINE PEACE" but from their sign (BELOW - far left of pic), one has to imagine what it says while traveling at 35 MPH. The 9 Patriots this Saturday included Legionnaires Glenn (USMC...

WEEK 167 - March 21,2009 Four dedicated Legionnaires held down the corner while the FReepers were in D.C. supporting our troops against everyone except the anti-war, anti-troop A.N.S.W.E.R. group. The Legionnaires included Carl (WWII - Army), Francis (WWII - Army), Glenn (WWII - USMC), and Halsey (USMC - Korea). We couldn’t have a better bunch of heroes watching our corner. The Legionnaires didn’t pay attention to the Quakers since they had no idea how many of them were out. WEEK 168 - March 28,2009 The Few, the Proud, the Patriots were back on the 28th, camera ready. The 5...

Finally, some spare time. Between a lot of work that came in last week and preparing for the March 21 Defend Arlington Cemetery Freep, I finally have some spare time. Not much though. WEEK 165 - March 07,2009 Moonbats are like cold blooded animals. When it is cold and rainy, there numbers are low or they don’t show. But when it is warm, they emerge from their assisted living condos and dis-honor our brave military. BELOW: I was also surprised that the “Quackers”, who do not to pledge allegiance to any Country had American flags attached to their banner today....

As Tom the Redhunter reported in his Walter Reed AAR, it was pretty windy out, but warm. Well, that wind blew in the precursor of our snow fall - COLD WEATHER. The temps never made it out of the 30s on Saturday, and never out of the 20s thru today, Tuesday. The wind was blowing from the north, into our faces. This had Legionnaires Glenn (WWII - Iwo Jima) and Frank (Korea and having health problems) leaving early. The other Patriots this Saturday included Legionnaire Halsey (USMC - Korea), Lurker Bill and FReepers Cindy_True_Supporter, and myself. Even with 8 moonbats...

Hump Saturday for February - it was a little warmer and less windy than the previous Saturdays. Spring is around the corner. Our enthusiasm is starting to shine brighter than the sun was. We had 9 patriots on the corner today, including Legionnaire Frank. He has been out for a long time with health problems, but with the weather just a little better today, he felt that he had to be there. The Patriots this Saturday included Legionnaires Glenn (USMC - WWII), Halsey (USMC - Korea), Frank (Army- Korea) and Dave (Army - WWII) and Lady Friend, along with Lurker...

Several weeks ago, Legionnaire Dave’s lady friend asked for a special sign for this Saturday, VALENTINE’S DAY. Always one to oblige a lady’s request, (BELOW) she happily holds the sign with Dave. And additional waves and honks she got. We had 10 Patriots: Legionnaires Glenn (USMC - WWII), Halsey (USMC - Korea), Dennis (Army- Korea) and Dave (Army - WWII) and Lady Friend, along with Lurker Bill and FReepers Cindy_True_Supporter, Eager, iMacMan and myself. Pictures are by iMacMan BELOW: More signs spread around our position. BELOW LEFT: Lurker Bill, first on the corner with a sign. iMacMan is turning the...

GunsAreOK paid off on his challenge concerning President Bush. He promised to pay the D.C. Chapter $100 for each commuting or pardoning of Border Agents Ramos and Compean and a third person who's name eludes me right now. As we know, former President Bush did commute the jail time for Border Agents Ramos and Compean. The D.C. Chapter coffers are now richer for it. But GunsAreOK wasn’t finished. Because he, BufordP and myself were in front of the White house on cool morning protesting POTUS over Ramos and Compean, he offered to buy lunch for the D.C. Chapter regulars. So...

Okay, all you FReepers in New England, Up State New York and Upper Mid West Needn’t Comment. We know it gets colder than a witch’s teet in January up there, but we in D.C. got spoiled after last winter. Coldest it got for the Walter Reed or Olney FReep was high 20s. Did I mention yet that the moonbats were a no show? Not yet, but they didn’t show. This year has been cold. But not as cold as 2007. Who can forget the night at Walter Reed when the former Fran O’Brien’s dinner buses, filled with wounded warriors and...

Since I don’t watch FOX, or really any “news” channels since the election, the Military channels receive by attention. Military Channels are a lot better than listening to than the dribble about Obambi and his first coming. So I plagiarized the tank saying. This was a good week in Olney. We had 9 Legionnaires, lurkers and FReepers. They were Legionnaire Glenn (USMC - WWII), Legionnaire Dave (Army - WWII) and his friend, Edith, Lurkers Bill and Mike, and FReepers Cindy_True_Supporter, GunsAreOK, iMacMan and myself. All pics are by iMacMan. Since iMacMan got to Olney early this week he got us...

Our very own iMacMan Cometh to a very, very cold Olney after several weeks being off, after finally getting his car repaired. Along with his appearance cometh his super great pics (BELOW) of passing supporters. In case you are interested, here is the link to the original 1973 movie, The Iceman Cometh starring Lee Marvin. One pic that iMacMan did not get was the lady who took both hands off the steering wheel and gave us two thumbs up. And this is the reason that we are in Olney, and some of us Walter Reed, every weekend. BELOW: Red Banner...

Our numbers were small and got smaller as 2 of us left early for our Pro Israeli Rally in D.C., but we proudly stood our ground against an unexpected large number (9) of “Quackers”. Unexpected because we thought several of the moonbats would have gone down to D.C. to support Hamas. Patriots in attendance Saturday were Legionnaire Halsey (USMC - Korea), Lurker Bill, 3DJoy, Cindy_True_Supporter, 3DJoy and myself. Cindy_True_Supporter and I left around 11 AM since we needed to be in D.C. early to stake out our position. 3DJoy followed after the Olney FReep which had some excitement themselves ....

Our 3 Year Anniversary is now history without making history that will shake the world. But we are proud to have been Olney for three years. We are proud to join the other FReeps and Gathering of Eagles rallies that have been going on for years all over the United States. We will continue to be in Olney so long as we are needed. History will show something though. It will show that as our military fights to defend us and the world against radical Islam, determined groups of Patriots through out these United States have stood up for them....

This coming week is Olney’s 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. The Olney Patriots look forward to seeing a lot of our friends. We’ll be set up by 10AM and waiting for you all. We’ll retire afterwards for R&R at Dave’s Bistro. All the Olney FReepers, regulars and occasional FReepers, we wish everyone a safe and prosperous NEW YEAR!! This past week Cindy_True_Supporter was back. Her mom is doing better, allowing Cindy to make it back to Olney. But with [Mrs] T still recovering from her shoulder operation (she’ll be out this coming Saturday) and Lurker Bill having the flu, our stander bearers...

Yep, the moonbats couldn’t keep up with Troop Supporting Santa Claus and all the kids hanging out the car windows waving to him. The merry HooHooHoo’s and MERRY CHRISTMAS’s must have been too much for the grumpy moonbats who slithered away after completing only 3/4 of their normal display of their vile and curious but nonsensical messages. And Santa did NOT receive even one thumbs down or other negative hand signal this Saturday which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately our two expect picture takers, iMacMan and [Mrs] T were not there to get pics of the kids. There were a...

“CONTRASTS” during the Christmas Season. The children of our Vietnam Vets are now proudly serving our Country. The video TO OUR PARENTS (tissue alert) by OperationMOM.org was originally posted on FR in To Our Parents (from Children of Vietnam Veterns) by do the dhue. A Christmas Thank You to ALL those who have and are serving our Country. Another tribute to our Vets is Wreaths-Across-America as shown on the FR thread “http://www.wreaths-across-america.org/” by shove_it. Gathering of Eagles also has a great report on the wreaths being laid at National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY and links to other cemeteries. On Wednesday, the...

Warning - Warning Will Robinson TROOPRALLY, Do not try deep frying a turkey in 30 degree weather!! And don’t leave the turkey outside while it takes 90 minutes for the oil to reach the minimum 325 degree temperature, it will also become super cold, the oil will drop to 50 degrees, never to come back up!! And so dinner started an hour late. Luckily we had plenty of chaffing dishes keeping all the other food hot and ready. But before the official D.C. Chapter Christmas Party started, a hearty but cold 8 Patriots FReeped the "Quackers" in Olney. They were...

Thanksgiving Weekend and I have the privilege of filling in for the regular writers (BufordP, Jimmy Valentines Brother, Kburi and Tom The Redhunter) of the Walter Reed FReeps. I shared the photo taking with Plea Deal tonight. Our other photographers are VAFlagWaver, [Mrs] T, Kburi and Tom The Redhunter. Both FReeps had their own excitement but in very different ways. WALTER REED REPORT for Week 189 - Nov. 28,2008 Freepers at Walter Reed this Friday after Thanksgiving were Lurker Bill, Cindy_True_Supporter, Kburi, Plea Deal, RongKirby and myself using [Mrs] T’s camera for several pics. While our numbers were small, so...

Yep, just like Walter Reed the night before, the clipper that moved briskly in made its point. In this very short video you can hear the wind blowing. And you get to see the TWO “Quackers” that showed up. Just like in the windy ‘n drizzly weather last week, the “Quackers” could only muster two “dedicated” faux troop supporters. This Saturday though was a little nippier than last week. Hey BufordP, just be glad we weren’t out of town this Saturday. Temps were around 30. Not sure of the wind chill. It was cold enough to keep some of our...

The Trooprally's did it to me again. Left town for the weekend. It was another Friday afternoon dinner at their house. I usually go over to their house right after work and spend a few hours killing time before the three of us head down to Walter Reed to keep Code Pink away from the front gate. We were sitting down to eat and [Mr] Trooprally says, "Me and the Mrs are going out of town next Saturday." Cindy-True-Supporter and Janet I should of jumped up out of my chair right then and pretended that I needed to go...

Olney started out originally with Lurker Bill, Cindy_True_Supporter, []Mrs] T and myself. Then the faithful D.C. Chapter members were able to clear their schedule to help out. They supported the Olney FReep even after spending Friday night at Walter Reed, thru wind, rain and cold. SIDEBAR: Neither Olney or Walter Reed has had a serious snow fall while we FReeped. Hope our good luck continues. We even had two FReeps in Olney on one day to throw the moonbats into confusion (not hard to do). As the Legionnaires started to come out, the FReepers got a break. Not long ago,...

I put up the Olney AAR late this week to keep all the political threads from covering it up. The MODs did their best to keep the political crap out of the Activism/Chapter, but alas, they couldn’t. A THANKS to the MODs for what they did before getting swamped. Second, I want to Thank BufordP for a GREAT Olney AAR last week. It received almost 600 views after being buried by crap political threads in the first day it was up. We had a new Legionnaire show up today - George, Army, Vietnam, early 60s. While he said that he’ll...

Strange things happen when the Trooprallys are out of town and I have to fill in. I won't go into detail about what happened last time. This time, sure as space aliens crash landed in Rosswell New Mexico back in '47, the Straight Talking Curvaceous Walking Bus was stopped at the traffic light while we were setting up! If kburi was there you'd see a photo of the "Shake-things-up Express" bus right here But as luck would have it, kburi, who was in charge of taking pictures, was not there! We had just erected the "Support Our Troops"...

Lots going on today in Olney. First, Samuel, the Other Plumber, (BELOW) visited Olney today. Joe had visited Walter Reed the night before so Sam came in his place today. Love these multi-tasking plumbers. Sam had a good time with the FRiendly FReepers and Lurkers in Olney. Second, VictoryNY and Satin Patriot blessed us with their presence. Their singing of God Bless America, flag waving, loud proclamations of our support of our troops and waving brought on the cheers, honks and waves of support from passing vehicles. The list of 8 Patriots supporting our troops were: Legionnaires Glenn (USMC - Iwo Jima), Dave (Army - WWII), Halsey (USMC - Korea), Frank (Army - Korea), Lurker Bill, Cindy_True_Supporter and [Mrs] Trooprally, aka [Mrs] T and myself, [Mr] T. Pics by [Mrs] T When the BELOW pic of our Legionnaires was taken by yours truly, Lurker Bill was the only one holding down our corner. Pics by [Mrs] T Not personally being there myself, this report is being compiled from first hand reports by Lurker Bill and [Mrs] T Lurker Bill’s AAR of his occupation of our right flank where I usually stand “[brackets by me]”: ”As Mr. T was on the [east or 'right'] coast getting schooled, I attempted to cover his post on our southern [right] flank. Rain was threatening this Saturday but that did not deter the supporters of our troops. But it did keep the moonbats away. I guess they thought we were going to throw soap bars at them if it rained. Late but here it is - Week 141 in Olney. As BufordP says, I’m lucky because unlike Walter Reed, I don’t have other AAR writers to answer to when I’m late. We were outnumbered by the moonbats this Saturday but we were NOT out-honked or out-supported this week. The pics of our supporters by [Mrs] T are few this week because she had to also help hold our Support the Troops signs. She still got some good shots. The list of 5 Patriots supporting our troops were: Legionnaire Frank (Army - Korea), FReepers Cindy_True_Supporter, Sensei Ern, [Mrs] Trooprally, aka [Mrs]...

Yes, Hurricane Hannah is spelled correctly, according to our granddaughter, HANNAH. The daughter of our Marine son stationed in Camp Lejeune, NC was a little upset this week because the biased media didn’t spell the hurricane’s name correctly. The AAR thread title is pretty bland this week but I had a hard time thinking of one. Some thoughts were: FReepers take on Hannah, or Dumb FReepers take on Hannah, or Moonbat witches melt in wake of Hannah, our 8 year old granddaughter, or Our Troops have it Worst, or ???, you decide. The list of 8 Patriots getting wet to...

This Labor Day Weekend was different in Olney. It seemed that we got more waves and honks than other Saturdays. Maybe our supporters were buoyed by our troops’ successes in Iraq, maybe it was McCain’s announcement of Sarah (In 2012) Palin as his VP, maybe they were just glad to see us on the corner while so many were thinking only off a 3 day weekend. No matter, it was a very good day to be supporting our troops. The list of 11 patriots taking time out from the holidays to support our troops were once again, 3 WWII Legionnaires...

After dissing Russia last week, the moonbats (BELOW) had a Sit-In in support of Georgia this Saturday, complete with posters. The posters above and behind the moonbats say: (LEFT SIDE) "RUSSIA, Hands Off Poland, Ukraine, Baltic States" (CENTER) "Russia, Out of Georgia, Now". Another sign to the right, but out of site of the moonbats but in clear view of the cars that pass by, says: "Russia, Make Vodka, Not War, Now". That idea is courtesy of FReeper \/\/ayne. Also, the white hatted moonbat, 4th from left, isn't holding her regular "Hands Off Iran" sign. Any one for herding cats?...

The WORLD PEACERS of the Quakers (aka the Quackers) and PeaceActionMC supported Georgia this Saturday - sort of. While all the anti-war, no, anti-U.S. anarchists, are always protesting against ONLY the democracies in the world, they never seem to protest against the dictators, terrorists and real aggressors around the world. There are some even comparing Russia to the U.S. lead coalition in Iraq. But as was heard on a conservative talk show (forgot who), Georgia is a fairly democratic society, with a duly elected government. Iraq surrendered in 1991 and was to abide by the terms of the surrender, which...

The passing motorist really showed their support this Saturday. With the weather in the low 80s and humidity down, no dog day of August this Saturday, the passing cars and trucks were just overwhelming us with supportive waves and honks. Even the trucks were blaring their air horns. A great day to be supporting our troops. Below are some of the pictures of our supporters. [Mrs] T got a lot of Double and Triple waves today. And lastly, a Patriot from Connecticut: And then there were the 9 Patriots who stood on the corner. We were: Legionnaires Glenn (WWII -...

It was a great day to get in shape for our counter to the “Out of Iran” Protest in D.C. later this afternoon. BufrpdP, Cindy_True_Supporter, Eager, Fraxinus, [Mrs] T and myself had a quick lunch at the Olney Compound before heading into the lions den. It is a great Monday today to post this AAR, even if it is a week late. Our counter to the "Out of Iran" protest and its AAR has thrown of my schedule. This past Saturday's Support the Troop Freep in Olney will be on time. The roll call of our 10 Patriots included Legionnaires...

U.S. Army Lt. Gavin, Cindy_True_Supporter’s son, was out in Olney for the last two weeks. Surviving being seriously injured by a drunk driver, being at Walter Reed for a short time, and finally finishing ROTC and graduating a lieutenant, Lt. Gavin has spent time at both the Walter Reed and in Olney FReeps before leaving for his Pacific duty station. Gavin had a good time the last several Saturdays talking to all the Legionnaires that regularly come out to Olney. Even the Marines. And us non-service types. [Mrs] T and I are very Marine oriented so a Marine flag at...

Last time we were in Westminster a passerby couldn’t let the moonbats go unopposed. He had driven by on one of his rare Saturday’s off from work and was disgusted at the moonbats’ signs. He went home, wrote out a quick sign and came to protest the protesters. (BELOW) is the result. Apparently the moonbats believe that only they do not have to obey the laws. They were so upset over the “Clueless Morons” sign that they complained to the Westminster police. I can hear them whining now, “They they they werrrr on ourrrr side botherrrring us”. An officer showed...

Pics by [Mrs] T The nine moonbats that showed up this week once again received almost no honks as the stood and sat, holding their signs belittling our soldiers tremendous efforts. WOW and DOUBLE WOW is the only way I can describe the Patriotic Americans that attended the Walter Reed and Olney FReeps. It’s Saturday afternoon as I started this combined AAR and my heart still pounds with pride over all those who came out, especially to Walter Reed on the evening of the Fourth. Since I’m honored this week to write the Walter Reed AAR and usually write the Olney AAR, I had to combine the two because of their similarities. Several weeks ago a question as to who will be at Walter Reed came up. About 4 or 5...
