Yesterday, I had the privilege of delivering a speech to the Cape County Republican Women’s Club in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The topic was "Conservatism and the Black Community." I had an amazing time and am so grateful for the opportunity to share a message that is so very needed. Although Governor Palin was not the subject of the speech, I did mention her a couple times as I shared how my interest in politics began and discussed why the left despises her so much.

And so it begins: Sarah Palin suggested she would run for the U.S. Senate seat in Alaska, and 72 hours later has fired the first volley against her potential opponent, one Sen. Mark Begich — a Democrat, former Anchorage mayor and spirited Palin-basher. He’s already questioned whether the former governor was even a resident of Alaska, then dismissed her as a viable candidate. Naturally, Mrs. Palin was charmed by the challenge, immediately deeming Mr. Begich the “Alaska chameleon” for his political track record. “You have voted for Obamacare, for massive tax increases, for carbon taxes which could cost Alaskans 21,000...

It goes without saying that you shouldn’t cross a grizzly. Sen. Mark Begich just learned that the hard way. Sarah Palin—former Alaska governor, failed vice presidential candidate, and America’s most famous Mama Grizzly—launched a bit of cyberwarfare against Begich, the Democratic senator from her home state, in a series of vitriolic Facebook posts on Thursday. The wrath of Palin was likely incurred Wednesday when Begich told Politico that the former governor had “quit on Alaska” when she resigned before completing her term. He also questioned whether she was still a resident of the state. Palin said Tuesday that she was...

Governor Palin has added the following photos/posts to her Facebook page this morning here and here. Really, Mark? Really?Margaret Thatcher used to say, “I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.” So, thank you, Mark Begich, for making me and others exceptionally cheery today! Mark, after looking at your voting record I can see why you are looking for a distraction. You have voted FOR Obamacare, FOR massive tax increases, FOR carbon taxes which could cost Alaskans 21,000...

Sarah Palin has had an uneven relationship with the Republican party over the past few years, especially given her constant railing against the GOP political establishment. On Sean Hannity‘s radio show on Wednesday, Palin said she doesn’t want to leave the Republican party, they’re the ones straying away from true Republican principles, and may give her “no choice” but to leave. After some talk about Edward Snowden and NSA snooping, Hannity brought up a Frontier Lab study finding that Republicans are abandoning the party after being tired of being told the GOP is “lesser of two evils.” Palin touted her own...

"If she runs, it's going to instantly become the most covered, the most scrutinized, the most hotly debated Senate race of the 2014 cycle," Geraghty said. American Conservative Union chairman Al Cardenas said Republicans have a 50-50 chance of taking the majority back in the Senate in next year's midterm elections, and said it's an even more significant possibility if Palin runs for the Alaska seat. "If she runs, all the odds are off the table," he said. "She would win a general election." "The benefits of having her as a U.S. senator and helping us get back the majority...

Sarah Palin “quit on Alaska” as governor and “ has lost touch” with her home state, Mark Begich told POLITICO. The Democratic senator said Palin, who said Tuesday she’s considering challenging him for his seat in 2014, might not even be a resident of Alaska and is someone he won’t take seriously unless she emerges from a competitive Republican primary. “I don’t know if she’s a resident. She’s been away from Alaska a lot and has probably lost touch with what’s going on. She should go to my webpage,” Begich said. “Most Alaskans I see on a pretty regular basis,...

On Monday, conservative talk radio host Mark Levin said former officials in the George W. Bush administration attack Sarah Palin because they favor expanding government. "Sarah Palin has spoken out effectively, articulately, with great knowledge and confidence," Levin said, "about the destruction of this federal goliath." He then noted that when Palin speaks out against crony capitalism and the permanent political class, she comes under "personal, vicious, brutal attack," not just by Democrats but by Republicans as well. He said many of the Republicans who attack Palin worked in the Bush administration and disagree not only with her, but with...

I want to talk about this tweet by Joan Walsh to Sarah Palin. I also want to talk about this article Peter Wehner of Commentary magazine about her. Folks, when you see articles like this that continue to use the “she quit” meme and they either ignore her record or they outright lie about it--I have to ask, why do they keep doing this? These people are supposedly prominent journalists and commentators and ruining their credibility by doing this?

A great interview with Governor Sarah Palin on a Tuesday afternoon. Sounding very much like George Washington, the rather reluctant leader, Governor Palin ends the interview with a bold statement about leading the party. Ronald Reagan was a democrat for most of his adult life. He famously said that he didn’t leave the democrat party, the democrat party left him. Governor Palin is saying what the rest of us are thinking. We’d MUCH rather revitalize the Republican Party than go in another direction, but …. and what else can be said but …. we haven’t left the GOP, the GOP...

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin on Tuesday said that she is considering running for Senate in 2014. Appearing on Sean Hannity’s radio program, Palin also reiterated that she would consider supporting a third party if Republicans don’t return to their conservative roots (video courtesy MoFoPolitics) ~~snip~~ “I’m glad you brought that up,” she continued, “because Senator Mark Begich (D-Ak.) has got to be replaced. He has not done what he has promised to do for the people of Alaska.” For those wondering, Begich is up for re-election in 2014. “If you think that whoever is running doesn’t have the ability...

In response to Sarah Palin Weighs in on Yacht-gate: The 2012 election proved to me that we reached a tipping point. Why SHOULD the Regime respect a citizenry that would reelect this corrupt, scandal plagued collectivist, with his reverse Midas touch, whose crowning achievement has been described by one of its architects as a "trainwreck" that now has over a dozen implementation failures. Come on. I don't care how weak a candidate Mitt Romney was - does a rational, well informed citizenry reelect such a person? No, an irrational, on the dole, self-serving, badly informed citizenry does. Hence, the disrespect....

Each time we get news from Pravda through Mr. Xavier Lerma, it comes as no surprise that Russia is now leading the world in laughing at the United States and the very weak “leaders” we now have! Russia has all but called Barack Obama a phony and a liar, but some of the people in the United States have also seen this. How Russia and the rest of the world now view the United States should cause all Americans to wake up, become aware of what’s actually taking place and then stand against the current administration. On July 1, 2013...

In a recent interview, former Alaska governor and GOP vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin indicated she was open to leaving the GOP and starting a third party. After expressing her enthusiasm for the name “The Freedom Party,” Palin went on to say this: If the GOP continues to back away from the planks in our platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and of Reagan, then yeah, more and more of us are gonna start saying, “You know, what’s wrong with being an independent?” Kind of, with that libertarian streak that much of us have. In other words,...

Amazingly, THIS is supposed to be serious: Earlier this year, Jeb Bush told ABC that both his father George H.W. Bush, and brother George W. recommended he run for president in 2016. Mama Barbara Bush is not keen on the idea, declaring in April that “the nation’s probably had enough Bushes.” But in the constantly shifting equations of potential Republican hopefuls for future president and vice president, the former Florida governor’s name has been tied with another former governor: Sarah Palin. The pair have now been framed as a “the GOP’s only chance” in the race by American Thinker contributor...

Rafael Cruz, the father of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, invigorated the crowd during tonight’s FreedomWorks Free the People event. Describing his own personal journey escaping Cuba and working hard to build a life for himself in the U.S., the elder Cruz noted comparisons that he believes exist between Fidel Castro’s governance and President Barack Obama’s executive actions. Upon rising to power, he said that Castro, like Obama, spoke about hope and change. While the message sounded good at the time, it didn’t take long for socialism to take root in his home country. And he paid the price.

Sara Palin is a gifted politician. Her love of country is as clear as a winter's day. She could be a good president, maybe even a great one, depending on circumstances. She has all the attributes of a leader: she's personally charming, down-to-earth, she's attractive, but her writing drives me crazy! Every sentence she composes or utters in real-time is a convoluted mess of subordinate clauses. Every idea introduced gives way to a meandering aside, a parenthetical more

What’s possible if only the Geniuses of the GOP™ were smart enough to listen to Governor Palin’s wisdom, and warnings.

Recently Stacy Drake exposed the hate-filled, misogynist bunch at RedState’s attack on Governor Sarah Palin, not only did they use a photoshopped pic of Governor Palin’s head on a woman’s body [with considerable cleavage] sitting on Santa Claus’ lap, but the accompanying article was demeaning, mean spirited, and hell …. just plain wrong!

Governor Palin wrote the following in response to the latest scandal coming from the Obama administration’s State Deptartment.Via Facebook: Outrageous. Once again the cover-up is worse than the “crime.” Secretary of State John Kerry WAS on his boat while Egypt fell into turmoil resulting in an overthrow of its new government ruled by the Muslim Brotherhood that the Obama Administration had so recently supported and may still support. (That, however, we do not know because President Obama’s absolutely dithering foreign policies, his "leading from behind," and his benign statements on the Muslim Brotherhood make no sense to sensible people.)The State...

The GOP may become the GDP (Grand Dead Party) if it keeps following the formula of insanity. That is doing the same thing over and over again and getting the same result. For example: Support RINO candidate + Alienate conservative base = Loss in general election. Or: Support RINO candidate + Win by a hair + Stick middle finger at conservative base + Govern like a progressive = Ruining the republican brand. If Sarah Palin leaves the GOP, I'm going with her. WaPo writer Dan Balz spills the beans on the Romney campaign ala "Game Change" style in his new...

I had a fun morning at the GOP Douglas County July 4th pancake breakfast. In some instances, I had my Sarah Palin Picture (2' by 3'), in other instances I had my "NO AMNESTY" sign. Reflections: Palin is still popular with the rank-and-file. The GOPe wannabe crowd didn't even want to look. Many good comments, smiles and thumbs up. When I had the "NO AMNESTY" sign it was the same. To be more specific, certain groups were far more receptive such as the Janssen for Governor volunteers, rank-and-file members, and the young crowd. Many, many smiles and thumbs up. The...

Last week, a Breitbart News article highlighted Sarah Palin’s criticism of the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill, and on Sunday, she wrote a Facebook post excoriating this “bipartisan” sellout:Great job, GOP establishment. You’ve just abandoned the Reagan Democrats with this amnesty bill, and we needed them to “enlarge that tent” of which you so often speak. It’s depressing to consider that the House of Representatives is threatening to pass some version of this nonsensical bill in the coming weeks.Palin went on to say that many Americans, herself included, “are barely hanging on to our enlistment papers in any political party,”...

The McCain/Palin ticket lost in 2008, right? Fiction can change that. ”Christian Nation” is a new novel from lawyer Fred Rich that wonders what would happen if the Republican ticket won in 2008. But Rich goes even further than that, plotting a would-be Palin presidency after McCain passes away in the novel. And although it’s fiction, Rich is dead serious about what a Palin presidency would mean for the country. As the title suggest, Rich is concerned about how religious extremists on the right could upend society. “If somebody like Sarah Palin, who holds so firmly to this conviction that...

Sarah Palin didn’t actually say she was planning a departure from the Republican Party during a controversial weekend interview, but her hint that the GOP could lose future supporters over amnesty was more than enough to throw the political establishment into gossip frenzy. “If the GOP continues to back away from the planks in our platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and of Reagan, then yeah, more and more of us are gonna start saying you know, what’s wrong with being independent – kinda with that libertarian streak that much of us have, in other words...

For the first time since the mid 1800s we hear today liberty voices rising from elected state officials including governors. But they're not in D.C.; instead they're in Kansas, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri and dozens of other states, making their own decisions on abortion, guns, constitutional law, ObamaCare, and practically everything. But no leader yet emerges, and no center. It is, like Pirandello’s play, with actors in search of a theater and a leader. Actually a leader is emerging: Sarah Palin. But new ideas need new forms to start again the conversation and bring in a new generation. For a fresh...

On Saturday, the left wing blog Politics USA called former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin a racist for criticizing Barack Obama as "lackadaisical." According to the liberal site, "lackadaisical" is a "Jim Crow stereotype," but Webster's online dictionary defines it as "lacking life, spirit, or zest." Jason Easley said that Palin used a question about the way Obama has handled the Edward Snowden affair to attack Obama.

Lately, I’ve been finding that I’m increasing finding myself further and further from identifying with the Republican Party as well. I feel like I would need to hold my nose to pull the lever for almost everyone with an (R) after their name. I can count on one hand the Republicans that I identify with: Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Ron Paul (most of the time), Alan West (most of the time), and Sarah Palin. Palin has signaled that she is receptive to starting a new party if the GOP continues to abandon its principles. Once-relied upon stalwarts of conservative ideals...

QUESTION OF THE WEEK Sarah Palin rejoined Fox News as a contributor earlier this month, indicating that the polarizing former Alaska governor and Vice Presidential candidate remains a powerful voice in the conservative landscape. Is she beneficial to conservatives and the Republican Party, or does she do more harm than good? Sarah Palin is undeniably useful and important as a face of the conservative movement. She is ineffective and even detrimental as the face of the conservative movement. Unfortunately, that's exactly what she became when John McCain selected her as his running mate in 2008: the face of the GOP...

Turns out Sarah Palin was right when she talked about Obamacare having a "death panel." A June 19 article in The Wall Street Journal, "An ObamaCare Board Answerable to No One," sheds light on the subject. One of Obamacare's disturbing features is the "Independent Payment Advisory Board." The article states: "The IPAB, sometimes called a 'death panel,' threatens both the Medicare program and the Constitution's separation of powers." The IPAB will control more than a half-trillion dollars of federal spending annually, with no administrative or judicial review of its decisions. The 15-member IPAB is appointed by the president but can...

The former governor of Alaska floated the idea of bolting from the Republican Party if it continues to, as she sees it, back away from the principals of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan.Toying with the idea of starting a new political party? You betcha. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin entertained building a "Freedom Party" while answering Twitter questions on Fox News Saturday. One user asked, “Would you & Mark Levin be willing to build a 'Freedom Party' if GOP continues to ignore conservatives?” "I love the name of that party — the 'Freedom Party,'" Palin replied. "And if the GOP...

Earlier today on Fox News, Sarah Palin reacted to President Obama‘s comment on Friday that he’s not going to be “scrambling jets” to track down Edward Snowden. Palin said that the NSA leaks have raised some serious questions about “the government’s violation of our Fourth Amendment rights to privacy and against searches and seizures of our property,’ but Snowden should come back to the United States and answer for what he’s done. However, she saved her harsher criticism for “community organizer” Obama for leading from behind in the effort to get Snowden back to the United States. Palin declared that...

Governor Palin has written a beautiful piece for Breitbart News commemorating the 150th Anniversary of Gettysburg: Today marks the beginning of the week-long ceremonies commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. There will be a full re-enactment of the battle, discussions with panels of historians, and of course a re-reading of the Gettysburg Address. But as Lincoln affirmed when he dedicated that hallowed ground, nothing we say or do can “add or detract” from the great sacrifice made there. Gettysburg was a defining moment in the history of our nation; and consequently, one of the most important battles in...

June 30, 2013 Republicans Paint Clinton as Old News for 2016 Presidential Election Johnathan Martin ..... The 2016 election may be far off, but one theme is becoming clear: Republican strategists and presidential hopefuls, in ways subtle and overt, are eager to focus a spotlight on Mrs. Clinton’s age. The former secretary of state will be 69 by the next presidential election, a generation removed from most of the possible Republican candidates. Despite her enduring popularity, a formidable fund-raising network and near unanimous support from her party, Mrs. Clinton, Republican leaders believe, is vulnerable to appearing a has-been...

As Byron York has written, Mitt Romney would have lost the election even if he had won 70% of the Hispanic vote. And as Breitbart News thoroughly documented, Romney would have won the election had 389,821 more working class voters in four states turned out to vote. Palin urged Americans to read the Breitbart News article that detailed how the Senate's amnesty bill betrayed working class Americans of all ethnicities. By noting that the immigration bill devastates working class Americans regardless of race, Palin is emphasizing that the best way for Republicans to win over minorities and expand the party's tent is...

Since Palin put the GOP on notice yesterday and followed up with a tweet to Marco Rubio about the congratulatory call he received from Barack Obama on his ability to ram an amnesty bill, the usual suspects are jumping on her. Many tweeted a Hot Air article from 2008 that stated she supported a "path to citizenship." On whether or not to deport the millions already here, she said: There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility...

Bill Maher claimed that Antonin Scalia, Sarah Palin, and Donald Trump are more racist than Paula Deen. Maher’s comments begin at the 5:35 mark of the video:(VIDEO-AT-LINK) Maher said, Can I read a quote from Scalia, Justice Scalia about this? He said, and this is about the Voting Rights Act. He said, ‘Whenever a society adopts racial entitlements, it is very difficult to get out of them through the normal political process.’ Just the fact that he talks about black people voting as an entitlement, that is so much more racist than anything Paula Deen ever said. And I don’t...

What if McCain/Palin won, then McCain died -- and a terror attack followed. Apocalyptic fiction from a nightmare It is obvious in retrospect that only an external attack like that on 7/22 could have saved the Palin presidency. Without it, would any of what followed have happened? I doubt it. The Democrats would have recaptured both the White House and Senate that fall. The culture wars would have simmered on, but the evangelical movement’s momentum on the path toward political power would have been lost. I would be installed in my corner office downtown, practicing law. I would probably have...

One day after the Senate passed its immigration reform bill, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin warned the House on Friday to not betray working class Americans by passing a bill that will lower wages and raise unemployment without securing the borders. "Now we turn to watch the House. If they bless this new 'bi-partisan' hyper-partisan devastating plan for amnesty, we’ll know that both private political parties have finally turned their backs on us," Palin wrote in a Facebook post that also urged Americans to read the Breitbart News piece that detailed the importance of the working class vote. "It will...

Did I read this right? “Obama is completely under water on the immigration issue – white voters disapprove of his job on the issue by 60-32, Independents disapprove by 59-32, and non-college educated disapprove by 56-36.” That’s ridiculous; under water? Everyone knows that Big Guy practically walks on water. And just who did they get there their numbers from any way – Sarah Palin? And speaking of Sarah, I hear she’s a little fired up over the direction the R-word leaders are taking. Did you read what she said? And that’s not all: Folks like me are barely hanging...

Wow! Governor Palin just posted the following on Facebook, along with a link to the article over at Breitbart that we posted last night:Please take a look at the article linked below to understand how the amnesty bill the Senate passed yesterday is a sad betrayal of working class Americans of every ethnicity who will see their wages lowered and their upward mobility lowered too. And yet we still do not have a secured border. This Senate-approved amnesty bill rewards lawbreakers and won’t solve any problems – as the CBO report notes that millions of more illegal immigrants will continue...

On Sunday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin denounced the Senate's immigration bill in an exclusive opinion piece for Breitbart News. One week before that, though, Palin laid out a promise and a warning to her own party in a speech to the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference in Washington, D.C. She said Americans do not deserve the exceptional country its founding fathers left them if they do not keep faith with the working class. And she said that that faith would be lost if the the Gang of Eight's bill, passed by the Senate on Thursday, became law. Her words...

She’s back. That would be former Alaskan half-term governor and former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, of course. She is back on Fox News. Evidently the folks over at Fox didn’t think they were fair and balanced enough toward the Republican side of the aisle. Of course, not all Republicans are happy with Palin’s return. Gearing up for the 2014 congressional races and the 2016 presidential race, the last thing moderate Republicans want is to remind everyone why they didn’t vote for the Republican ticket in 2008. With the exception of folks in red states or congressional districts, Palin doesn’t do...
