Angelwood's Report: The Patriots Rally for America V held on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial leading down to the reflecting pool was a resounding success. About 1,000 to 1,200 flag-waving patriots gathered together to say a few prayers, listen to inspiring speeches and rally in support of the men and women of the United States, Great Britain, Australia and other coalition forces who are in harm’s way and fighting to defend freedom and liberate Iraq. It was a beautiful day with sunny skies, a brisk breeze to unfurl the flags and temperatures in the low 60's. The Lincoln Memorial...

Free Republic Network this organization is nothing but a Crazy White Racist, In CSPAN2 they have rally The Patriots Rally for America, and they have this so called Iraqi opposition calling for war against Iraq, and one of them even use the Holy Quran to justify war against a Muslim country he said he represent the people of Iraq and his organization Karbalas Islamic Center and he called him self IMAM. He did admit that no one believed him so he decided to speak in Arabic so we should believe his lies. I do not think in the Holy Quran...

About 150 backers of President Bush's policy toward Iraq gathered in the gray, slushy cold near the Washington Monument yesterday to express support for U.S. military forces gathering in the Persian Gulf and to urge the prompt ouster of Saddam Hussein.

Here are some photos I took at the Rally today. If you all will email some photo captions (names, FReepers etc) I will add it to the page headings.

I just received two confirming phone calls from C-SPAN and they will be at the Patriots Rally for America IV at the Sylvan Theater tomorrow morning to tape the rally. Thank you, C-SPAN! LET'S ROLL -- IT'S TIME TO SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, OUR LEADERS AND OUR COUNTRY!

This is important. Drop what you’re doing. Pack the car, get on a plane, a train, a bus or start walking. Our troops need your support right now! They’re laying it on the line for us overseas and all they are seeing in the media is hundreds of thousands of anti-war/anti-American demonstrators marching in our streets. As evidenced by this article Anti-war Protests Anger U.S. Troops Inside Kuwait those demonstrations are starting to affect morale. You can do something about that, but it will take time, effort and sacrifice -- a modest sacrifice compared to our men and women...

This past weekend I was thrilled to read the accounts here on FR of all the rallies, large and small, that my hardy fellow FReepers organized or participated in across the country. It was a great effort and you made a difference. At a bare minimum, these "Support Our Troops" rallies gave a morale boost to law enforcement officers on the scene and to our fellow citizens who came in contact with us. While the rallies were not the main story, our message was picked up and reported on in various media outlets, letting families of servicemembers know that patriotic Americans...

He mentioned the Tri State Free Republic Chapter Patriot's Rally (2/15) on the radio just now. He also read the contact number on the radio. They are discussing how the Anti-Americans were denied a march permit.

(This is written without notes and is intended as an overview. It does not include the stories of all those who stood with us. Those who were there, please add your stories.) The Patriots Rally for America III in support of our troops fighting the war on terrorism was held at Constitution Gardens near the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall early on Saturday morning, January 18, 2003. From the podium just before the rally ended, an announcement was made about our plans for the afternoon observance of the IAC/ANSWER-sponsored anti-war protest march through the streets of D.C., past the Marine Barracks...

The Support Our Troops Patriots Rally For America III, co-sponsored by the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic and MOVEOUT (Marines and Other Veterans Engaging Outrageous Un-American Traitors) was held on Saturday, January 18, 2003, at the Constitution Gardens area of the Mall overlooking the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and other war memorials. It was a crisp clear morning and it was extremely cold -- 9 degrees. In fact, it was the coldest day so far this winter in Washington, D.C. Doctor Raoul volunteered to be at the site early to oversee the set up of the stage and sound system....

<p>WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Dozens of counter-demonstrators armed with U.S. flags showed up to the Washington anti-war protest Saturday to express their support for Bush's policy on Iraq.</p>
<p>Braving the below freezing temperatures, members of FreeRepublic.com, a conservative online group, and others not affiliated with formal organizations took over a block of sidewalk along the march route across from the Marine Barracks.</p>

WUSA TV-9 did a follow-up interview with the DC Chapter of Free Republic with regard to our plans for further actions after countering the anti-war demonstrations in Washington, D.C. this weekend. Kristinn, tgslTakoma, Mark Phelps, Angelwood, Jimmy Valentine's brother; Doctor Raoul; Buford P, Taxman and "JW" marched to the Navy Memorial with flags flying to meet with reporter, Dave Statter, and his cameraman for the interview. After handshakes and introductions, Kristinn spoke with Dave Statter and showed him a copy of Peter Jennings' book, "In Search of America," which featured a two-page photograph of the D.C. Chapter countering some of...

SNIPThe counter-demonstration that drew fewer than 50 people began with a morning rally near the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and regrouped along the route used by the antiwar contingent. It was organized by Free Republic, which was formed to protest President Bill Clinton's actions, and another group called MOVE OUT, an acronym for Marines and Other Veterans Against Outrageous Un-American Traitors. Many predicted dire consequences for the United States if Saddam Hussein is not ousted from power. Joel Kernodle, a retired Marine from Indianapolis who organized MOVE OUT, conjured up images of the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol in rubble. "If...

<p>Counterdemonstrators were few compared with anti-war protesters yesterday, but they made their sentiments known at the U.S. Marine barracks.</p>
<p>By midafternoon, anti-war protesters were about two-thirds of the way through their march from the National Mall to the Navy Yard in Southeast when they met 80 counterdemonstrators outside the barracks at Eighth and I streets SE. The counterdemonstrators waved American flags and signs, some of which read "If you must burn our flag, wrap yourself in it first" and "What Would You Have Done on Flight 93? Free Iraq Now."</p>

<p>Washington -- Hoping that their sheer numbers would send a message so loud that President Bush could not ignore it, tens of thousands of demonstrators rallied in the nation's capital Saturday to oppose any war against Iraq.</p>
<p>The crowd, bundled up and huddled tight against bone-chilling cold, filled several blocks of Washington D.C. in what many called the largest demonstration yet against using force to topple Saddam Hussein.</p>

With Carl Limbacher and NewsMax.com Staff For the story behind the story... C-Span has decided to continue its practice of covering anti-war demonstrations by ANSWER, an amalgamation of radical left-wing groups that will gather in Washington, D.C. on Saturday to stage a protest against U.S. plans to disarm Saddam Hussein by force. But the public affairs network has refused to carry the "Patriots Rally for America" counter demonstration in D.C. the same day. "C-SPAN has covered the last four ANSWER anti-war rallies in D.C.," complained Patriots organizer Kristinn Taylor. "Yet it's shown only one of our three counter-demonstrations to them."...

The troops are massing — not for war but for a "No War on Iraq" march in the District slated to begin 11 a.m. tomorrow on the National Mall. Organizers say they are hoping thousands of anti-war activists will show up in subfreezing weather for the protest, which will feature two hours of speeches followed by a 16-block walk to the Navy Yard in Southeast. D.C. law-enforcement agencies will increase manpower and close streets where demonstrators plan to march. Third and Fourth streets from Independence Avenue SW to Pennsylvania Avenue NW will be closed tomorrow from 7 a.m. to 9...

Last Saturday, Oct. 26, I did something I’ve never done before. I went to a rally for action against Saddam Hussein in Iraq. This was a counter protest to the anti-war protesters who were also there. This was billed as the second Patriot’s rally, it was held in Washington, DC on the grounds of the Washington monument by the DC chapter of FreeRepublic. This would be my first time attending such a rally and I was both apprehensive and excited, not really knowing what to expect. The day started with Sauropod and KLT picking me up at the train stop...

I'd like to repeat a quick point I made on the DC Chapter Patriots' Rally On C-Span (11:20 p.m. ET) thread (and I know I'm going to get flamed for this, so the flame-proof suit is ON!). This development (the kill Saddam Iraqis who joined the DC Chapter Patriots Rally this past day), which I was amazed to see, has made me think. I think we should try to keep the Islam/Arab-bashing (the unwarranted kind) to a bare minimum. Many of these Iraqi freedom fighters have now heard about FR and may visit our site. These brave Iraqis show us...

It's now been a week and a day since The Patriots Rally for America, and Gore_ War_ Vet's truck is still MIA somewhere in our nations capital; thanks to some unknown tow truck driver on the city of DC payroll. Gore_ War_ Vet and I had unloaded all our rally supplies from our vehicles at the rally site on Constitution Avenue at 7:30am last Saturday, April 20th, and we then headed off to find parking. Parking on Constitution Avenue is usually allowed, but the street was marked with "Emergency - No Parking" signs because the radical left's pro-intifada demonstration was...

Once upon a time, the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic decided to hold a rally so patriotic men and women could take a stand for all that is good about America and to support our troops fighting for us in the war on terrorism. The organizers decided that there must be porta-potties available for use by the event staff and all those courageous individuals who dared to gather together in the midst of the anti-war, anti-American masses bused in to cause disruption to our nation’s Capitol. And so, the story unfolds: The stage was delivered at 5:30 a.m. to be...

Thousands of pro-America demonstrators organized by the web site FreeRepublic.com are expected in Washington, D.C. Saturday, braving what city officials fear could be a wave of anti-globalist protesters hell bent on violence.Police are braced for tens of thousands of anti-capitalist hooligans and terrorist sympathizers to fill city streets. In a sign that things could turn ugly, city workers cleared sidewalks on Friday of anything that wasn't nailed down. FreeRepublic's "Patriots Rally for America" was planned as a counterbalance to the previously scheduled weekend of anti-American mayhem. "It's a non-partisan rally to support America and to support our troops fighting the...

It was an absolutely great day at the Pentagon. Weather was fine and Patriots turned out in droves to pay homage to our fallen heroes and show support to our servicemen and women now in harm's way. I was the first to arrive, and frankly had been feeling a bit overwhelmed by what we are attempting to accomplish with the Patriots Rally for America. That said, as I stood alone on the knoll, Old Glory in hand, I reflected on what our country is going through, where I have been as a Marine in peace and in combat, what...

Counter-protesters will be out that day, as well. The D.C. chapter of the national conservative group, Free Republic, is co-sponsoring the "Patriots Rally for America," also on the monument grounds.
