SAN FRANCISCO — The Port of San Francisco and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are planning on raising the iconic, historic Ferry Building by as much as seven feet. The daring plan is an attempt to combat the impacts of sea level rise and extreme weather, both triggered by the climate change, and our warming planet. The project will break ground in about a decade. The U.S. Corps will pick up 65% of the cost. San Francisco's Prop A -- which was passed by 82.7% of voters in 2018 -- authorized $425 million general obligation bonds that will partially...

One of the great things about Domino’s pizza is the level of customization. You can get just about as many or as few of the toppings and substitutes as your heart desires. It’s no shock that choosy customers would take advantage of the popular feature. But Domino’s employee Beth D. couldn’t help but laugh when she got one rare request. In the clip, she removed the custom pizza from a Domino’s kitchen oven and placed it in a box. The pizza was completely bare, with no sauce, cheese or toppings. It was just the fresh baked crust. Beth laughed as...

Justin Bieber seems to have gotten tricked online, as he’s been heckling a deepfake of Tom Cruise as though he were interacting with the real actor.Unless he’s pulling a prank of his own, Bieber seems to have fallen for the trickery of “DeepTomCruise,” a TikTok account that posts videos of a convincing deepfake version of Tom Cruise, the Daily Dot noticed. Bieber shared a video of the deepfake playing guitar to his Instagram story but tagged the real Tom Cruise in which he complimented the actor’s musical prowess then challenged him to a fight. It’s a bizarre, comical mistake, but...

More than 1,000 people spent their Saturday afternoon in line for a chance to meet former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin at a book signing at Oaktree Gun Club in Newhall. The one-time Republican vice presidential nominee talked, mingled and took photos with hundreds of her fans for several hours while she sold and signed copies of her bestselling devotional “Sweet Freedom: A Devotional.†Fanfare for Palin peaked long before the event even started, as a line stretched far up a hilly driveway at the gun club. Some people brought their election signs from the 2008 presidential campaign — which featured...

A former Milwaukee Bucks cheerleader has filed a federal lawsuit accusing the NBA team of failing to pay her at least a minimum wage or overtime for her work. Lauren Herington, 22, was paid a flat rate of $65 for games, $30 for practice, and $50 for a special appearance. But her demanding schedule - which required up to 20 hours a week in the gym, 10 hours' practice a week, self-funded tanning sessions, and two-and-a-half hours' preparation before games - meant she would routinely earn as little as $3 an hour, less than half the $7.25 minimum wage.

PALIN: 'WE HAVEN'T YET BEGUN TO FIGHT!'—EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH BREITBART NEWS What's Next: Short term: I encourage others to step out in faith, jump out of the comfort zone, and broaden our reach as believers in American exceptionalism. That means broadening our audience. I’m taking my own advice here as I free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation. We can't just preach to the choir; the message of liberty and true hope must be understood by a larger audience. Focus...

Liberal MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews, who previously linked Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman to the attempted killing of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, completely ignored the shooting of a security guard at the conservative Family Research Council (FRC). By Matthews' own past statements, wouldn't an examination of the possible root causes of the FRC shooting be warranted? On January 10, 2011, Matthews said of the Giffords attack: "Sarah Palin using gun play language. What is she talking about crosshairs and reloading...and Bachmann out there with her kind of talk." He hinted, "Why are guns talked about so much, especially on the right?...

I talked with 2 nice guys yesterday - feeling that a door could be half open, I wanted to know exactly what was their position (politic). I knew they voted for Obama but they seemed to be open enough to hear about Palin and the new teaparty republicans. They asked me to email what Obama did wrong..yes..they don't know but they did not like Bush so they probably still on the "Bush fault" thingy. I would like to start with Clinton and the fact that everybody is saying he was a good president BECAUSE the Congress republicans so helped the...

Gary Poyssick, an early employee of software giant Adobe System Inc., continues to maintain there is something "fishy" about the Obama long-form birth certificate released by the White House. "What the White House released is not a simple scan," Poyssick told WND. "Something digital came between the paper and the glass." Poyssick was at the San Jose-based tech company when it counted no more than 14 employees, and he continues to advise and write on Adobe software products Poyssick, who today devotes his energies to running The Online Fisherman in Tampa, Fla., has written more than 50 titles about Adobe...

It's sinking in that something big is happening in Spain, where the youth -- angry about high unemployment and public corruption -- have recreated Tahrir Square across 60 countries. Today TIME magazine asks if the "revolution" has come to Spain. Much of the content will be familiar to readers: Huge protests, economic stagnation, political upheaval, and so on. The key development here is that everyone is seeing that this is a big deal. And of course, the market has noticed.

Prominent New Hampshire Republican Judd Gregg says that Sarah Palin just might have a clearer path to the Republican presidential nomination next year than commonly understood – an event he warns would lead to President Obama's clear reelection. Gregg, the former senator and governor of the Granite State, says the muddled GOP presidential field means it's more likely than ever there won't be a clear consensus candidate before the party's nominating convention in August of 2012. If that happens, says Gregg, Palin and her army of supporters might have the upper hand when it comes to settling on a presidential...

Things are still shaking in Arkansas. More than 500 measurable earthquakes have been reported in central Arkansas since September 20, ranging in magnitude from a barely noticeable 1.8 to a very noticeable 4.0 (recorded on October 11), according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Geologists can't say whether they'll stop anytime soon.

Maybe you know her as the “PDS” Princess, the splenetic sister of snark, a loyal correspondent or perhaps a really fun time waster.
