Getting back to baseball, other third basemen that you would probably prefer to A-Rod would include Scott Brosius and Aaron Boone, along with, Mike Lowell. For the moment, all three seem to be more "clutch" than Rodriguez. As a matter of fact, if all three were playing today, I'd still say that Rodriguez was more likely to get a hit or a homer in his next postseason at bat than the other three combined. And if you can not understand that, it amazes me, because it means you're even stupider than I thought you were.

Playoff stats are overrated. It is impossible to draw a vaild conclusion from such a limited sample. Is David Ortiz now the worst hitter in MLB because he's sucked for two weeks, or is he still the first guy you'd like to have at the plate with the game on the line. Rodriguez is a streaky hitter to begin with, and now that he's signed with the Yankees long term, he's virtually assuered of playing in 15 or so more post-season series over the rest of his career. Want to bet he doesn't bat .480 and have 3 or 4 homers in more than a couple of them?

If it’s got a precedent. People who escape places like Iran should be found homes elsewhere agreed. ‘I’m gay so you have to give me asylum’ seems a bit off point.

Actually, his request was more like "If you send me home, they're gonna execute me for being gay." So my original point stands: The concept of asylum was developed to rescue people from places where the thought police have that kind of power. The fact that he's claiming to be gay should be irrelevant.
