The top-rated tourist attraction in Columbus is not our highly regarded zoo. Its an obscure museum of religious artifacts. So says TripAdvisor, the influential travel website (www.tripadvisor.com) that uses consumer reviews to compile rankings. In fact, you wont find the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium anywhere on the TripAdvisor list of 70 or so Columbus destinations. Why? Its in Powell. By TripAdvisors organizational principles, the zoo isnt a Columbus attraction. (TripAdvisors Columbus site, however, has articles on the zoo.)In a way, Im happy about the situation because, although the zoo doesnt need TripAdvisors help to attract tourists, the Jubilee Museum does. And it deserves...

There is a powerful principle in The Bible that we need to get a hold of. The principle of putting God's word in your mouth. From the beginning of time God breathed into man's nostrils the breath of life. Now, that breathe was not God blowing into man's nostrils. When he breathed into man's nostrils he spoke. Notice, Psalm 33:6 says, "By the word of Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth." So, the breath of God and the word of God are the same. And it was that breath...

One of the basic principles of modern architecture is “form follows function.” In other words, ask what a building is for and you will know how it should be built. When you are building a garage or an office building or a hospital or a school things a fairly straightforward: a garage is to protect a car and store things. An office building is a place where people work safely and efficiently. A hospital has to have everything necessary for the health care, treatment and comfort of its patients. That’s easy enough.Architects will quibble about the “form follows function”...

Jesus defines eternal life as knowing God (Jn 17:3). What are the ways? In how many different ways can we know God, and thus know eternal life? When I take an inventory, I find twelve. 1. The final, complete, definitive way, of course, is Christ, God himself in human flesh. 2. His church is his body, so we know God also through the church. 3. The Scriptures are the church's book. This book, like Christ himself, is called "The Word of God." 4. Scripture also says we can know God in nature see Romans 1. This is an innate, spontaneous,...

Hi all -- Seeking prayers for a friend's dad out in Vegas. He's almost 86 and was overcome by the heat yesterday. He had collapsed at an outdoor business and by the time he was found he had a high internal temperature, heatstroke and at least 2nd degree burns on his arms and legs where they touched the pavement. Thanks so much for prayers.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem Water In The Bible Acts 10 Peter at Corneliuss House New International Version (NIV) The next day Peter started out with them, and some of the believers from Joppa went along. 24The following day he arrived in Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends. 25As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence. 26But Peter made him get up. Stand up, he said, I am only a man myself. 27While talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large...
