Three candidates have paid the $2,500 filing fee to appear on the Texas Democratic presidential primary. Besides President Obama, they are Darcy Richardson of Florida, and Bob Ely of Illinois. The web page for Richardson is darcy2012.com. The web page for Ely is workmorekeepless.com. It is possible others will qualify, because the deadline is not until Monday, December 19. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -22 (see trends). That’s the lowest level of Strong Approval ever measured for this president. Just 21% favor the forgiveness of student loans while people remain evenly divided in their opinion of the Occupy Wall Street protesters.

As the 2012 election draws closer, Democrats are getting less — not more — enthusiastic about the prospect of voting for president. In a new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll just more than four in 10 (42 percent) Democrats said they were either “extremely” or “very” enthusiastic about the 2012 vote. The Perry's have hit a wall, they may or may not be able to break through it. This election is taking on a mind of its own and even the GOP cannot control voters. While voters are dumping Perry for Cain, Romney is at a standstill. Governor Perry and his wife have a long road ahead of them on the way to the White House. A source on the Rick Perry campaign tells Hot Air that the Texas governor conducted some Texas-size fundraising in the third quarter. Coming in just a little over halfway through, Perry raised $17.1 million.
