WASHINGTON - Larry Klayman, once a hero of conservatives for persistently taking Bill Clinton to court, sued former aides and financial backers of President Bush on Monday for using the name "Freedom's Watch" to mount a multimillion-dollar campaign in support of the war in Iraq. In the federal lawsuit, Klayman accuses the group of appropriating a name he has used to promote his own public interest legal work. Klayman, who lives in Miami, said he first used the name Freedom Watch in 2004 on behalf of his nonprofit legal and educational activities and later registered it with the U.S. Patent...

Utah Democrat Plans Pro-Bush Immigration Rally August 19th, 2006 @ 6:23pm SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Some Utah Democrats -- including Salt Lake City's high-profile Mayor Rocky Anderson -- may have plans to rally against President Bush and his policies when the country's leader comes to the Utah later this month, but not Tony Yapias. Instead the director of Proyecto Latino de Utah and chairman of the Utah Hispanic Democratic Caucus, plans a pro-Bush demonstration in support of the president's policies on immigration. "We're going to focus on what worries us most, and that's immigration," Yapias said. "The president supports...

But for neocons or any other conservatives to turn against George W. Bush would be a terrible mistake. Presidents invariably disappoint their strongest supporters. Their powers are limited, and they must cope with Congress, public opinion, unwieldy agencies and, where foreign policy is concerned, other nations that can help or hinder us. Middle Eastern terrorists had been coldly murdering Americans for three decades, but from Nixon through Clinton, no president dared face the issue head-on. This led to the Sept. 11 attacks, putting Bush to the test. Liberals said we should continue to treat terrorism as a law enforcement issue....

Report From Crawford, TX The American Eagle News And Economic Report By: Leslie Wetzel August 30,2005 (Crawford, TX) At Fort Qualls, hundreds of Pro Troops supporters stayed through the long day of Texas August heat, to voice their prayers and heartfelt support for American military efforts in the war on terror. Fort Qualls, a place set up for an operations base for pro troops supporters, was set up by Bill Johnson, who owns The Yellow Rose gift shop on the main corner of downtown Crawford, TX. In front of the shop is a replica of the Liberty Bell, which rang...

Yesterday, my family and I attended the pro-Troops, pro-Bush rally in Crawford. We did so because we wanted to show our support for the Troops, for President Bush and their mission. I also, as an experiment, wanted to compare our observations vs. what is reported in the news. I find it odd that the minute the Pro-Bush, anti-Cindy sentiment could be highly visible, the coverage goes away. Granted, bigger stories have surfaced (Hurricane in New Orleans), but still, given all the time and space and money the Mainstream Media devoted to Cindy Shehan, I would think some obligatory follow up...

CRAWFORD - Thousands of people swarmed into this tiny town near President Bush's ranch on Saturday, most of them in support of the troops and his policy to stay the course in Iraq. Nearer the ranch, busloads showed up throughout the day to support Cindy Sheehan's ongoing anti-war protest, gathering for a peace vigil under a large tent in the stifling August heat. Bush remained on his ranch, urging Americans in his weekly radio address to be patient. "Our efforts in Iraq and the broader Middle East will require more time, more sacrifice and continued resolve," Bush said. "Yet people...

You've all got to see this: http://www.news10.net/storyfull1.asp?id=12639 After you read the story, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click that "VIDEO" button to watch the video of the story. Deborah Johns - the northern California Marine Mom - is a hero who gives us hope to present a positive alternative to the likes of Cindy Sheehan who seem determined to undermine American resolve to win the war against terrorism. Watch the video and pass this along to others. It will inspire them! Can you imagine if the "You Don't Speak for Me, Cindy" caravan could attract...

Supporters of President Bush's judicial nominees have hired the same media firm used by Swift Boat Veterans for Truth for their efforts to defend the next nominee for any upcoming Supreme Court vacancy. The aggressive media style of Creative Response Concepts (CRC) will be met by a "war room" already set up by the liberal People For the American Way (PFAW) on the other side, indicating that the next Supreme Court fight is likely to be one of the nastiest in history. "There is nothing more important -- if and when it happens -- than a Supreme Court...

ONE year ago, the world witnessed a unique kind of broadcasting - the mass murder of thousands, live on television. As a lesson in the pitiless cruelty of the human race, September 11 was up there with Pol Pot's mountain of skulls in Cambodia, or the skeletal bodies stacked like garbage in the Nazi concentration camps. An unspeakable act so cruel, so calculated and so utterly merciless that surely the world could agree on one thing - nobody deserves this fate. Surely there could be consensus: the victims were truly innocent, the perpetrators truly evil. But to the world's eternal...

With sanctions weakening and money flowing, he rebuilt his strength. He contacted W.M.D. scientists in Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria and elsewhere to enhance his technical knowledge base. He increased the funds for his nuclear scientists. He increased his military-industrial-complex's budget 40-fold between 1996 and 2002. He increased the number of technical research projects to 3,200 from 40. As Duelfer reports, "Prohibited goods and weapons were being shipped into Iraq with virtually no problem."

This is from TheRinseCycle.com - http://www.therinsecycle.com/archives/000188.html On Morality In order to lead, one must have moral conviction. Your moral principles may come from a belief in a higher power or perhaps it is something that is simply guided by intuition or conscience. However it is shaped, morality is important in a job where you have to make tough decisions on a daily basis. As a leader, you have to make decisions based on what you believe is right so that you can with clear conscience see these decisions through. On the issue of abortion Kerry said, ''I oppose abortion, personally....

I just got done watching Americas Tribute to Veterans from the USS Intrepid on C-Span and actor Rip Torn was there, I didnt catch his opening remarks but I am amazed to learn that he might be or is a Bush supporter. When Larry Gatlin regailed a story of a soldier returning home from Iraq and the soldier told him (my best quote)"You must make sure that America votes Bush back in or it will seem as if our last 20 months of sacrifice in Iraq will be for nothing" and Rip Torn applauded with everybody. I am glad to...

The earliest recollection I have of a presidential race was in 1976 — Carter-Mondale vs. Ford-Dole. I was 12 years old, and our school went to see Mr. Dole at our small local airport. The hoopla was terrific. How exciting that our vice-presidential hopeful was actually in our town. So we conducted our own presidential election in our school, and Ford-Dole won hands down. To our disappointment, Mr. Carter won the real election. It was then that GOP blood began to run in my veins. In a crowded hall in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1984, I waited for eight hours...

The moment Peggy Buryj saw the president walk into the room, she began to cry. President George W. Bush had just concluded a speech to a crowd of 5,000 elated supporters at the Canton Memorial Civic Center last Saturday. Waiting for him in a private room, away from the crowd and the press, were family members of three Stark County soldiers who were killed in Iraq this year. And when Buryj began to cry, so did the president, she said. ``We hugged each other,'' said the mother of Pfc. Jesse Buryj, 21, who died May 5 in Iraq. ``I was...

A local TV station did an interview with the owner of "Halftime Pizza" in Boston which is directly across the street from the FleetCenter, site of the DNC. The owner is protesting the commotion the DNC is bringing to the area and he is shutting down his restaurant for the days of the convention. During the interview, he invited President Bush to his establishment, which does have fantastic pizza, and he placed a huge banner outside the shop proclaiming his support of Bush and his displeasure with the DNC.

CUMBERLAND — Many of his neighbors may not know him well, but anyone passing by Hope Island these days certainly knows who John Cacoulidis will be voting for in November. An immense, white banner endorsing President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney adorns the top half of a boathouse on the southwest side Cacoulidis' Hope Island estate. That end of the island faces Chebeague Island, and the sign has been raising some eyebrows, according to Ed Doughty, owner of Doughty's Island Market. "I've heard a lot of comments," he said. "They're a few that love it, but a lot...

On a beautiful, breezy, sunshiny afternoon, with temperatures approaching 60, a small, but very vocal and determined group of about 25 showed up today at Milwaukee’s lakefront. Our mission: to counter the anti-American, anti-war, pro-socialist libs, a group whose makeup consisted in large part of the teacher’s union (large banner displayed “support increases in teacher pay”) and teenagers! Having had months to plan this event, I was surprised at the relatively small number (I’m guessing 150-200) in attendance at the Peace rally. Unfortunately, our numbers were held down because of hundreds of pro-troops, pro-Bush supporters that had previously committed to...

Dennis Miller On CNBC!!! Emmy Award winner Dennis Miller brings his take-no-prisoners, suffer-no-fools style to CNBC’s prime time lineup. Emmy-award-winning comedian Dennis Miller is the host of CNBC's "Dennis Miller" (M-F, 9-10 p.m. ET/PT), a topical interview talk show featuring reasoned discourse, opinion and humor. Miller also serves as executive producer of the program, which is produced by NBC Studios. It's been said that Miller is "one of the premiere comedy talents in America today..." While others are blunt assessing Miller's comedic stature, Dennis himself makes a virtue of understatement, but there is nothing low-key about his career.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Recently I visited a rather lame anti-Bush site. It was selling T-shirts and caps with anti-Bush slogans. One of the slogans actually made me laugh. It reads: FOUR MORE WARS! I fully support the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Furthermore, I would, on general principle, support more wars in the Middle East. We need to depose as many dictators and Saudi princes as we can. The world would be a better, safer place. I know the left hates this idea, but it's time they grew up and dealt with life. The entire free world should rise...

On Tuesday’s Paula Zahn Now, anchor Paula Zahn interviewed Crossfire co-hosts Paul Begala and Tucker Carlson about the political leanings of young voters and their potential impact on the 2004 presidential race. Zahn started off by citing...

Why France Must End Its Obstructionism Posted Tuesday, February 11, 2003 | Email a Comment Why France Must End Its Obstructionism An Independent Opinion Piece By Bob Nardo, Evan Wagner, and David Hodges All too often, American higher education offers students a distorted worldview of moral equivalency. This view is reflected in media accounts of student anti-war activism. Students are taught that all cultures and beliefs are equally justified and America is arrogant to tell others how to live, to tell despots which neighbors they cannot invade, or which weapons of mass murder they cannot posses. Freedom may work for...

Rescue Iraqi People From Evil Dictator (Not my title, by the way, the editors gave me a wimpy title) Published on 2/6/2003 Letters To The Editor: In response to The Day's Jan. 28 article “At Conn, a peaceful debate about war and peace,” I would like to mention a few things The Day “forgot” to mention. These forgotten points make clearer why military action against Iraq is necessary for our security and the safety of Iraq's citizens. The case for Iraq does not revolve solely on the issue of weapons of mass destruction, as most of the media paints it....

Wiesel - on Iraq, word is his Bond By Jean Torkelson, Rocky Mountain News October 29, 2002 Nobel Laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel confesses to a not-so-secret wish: that a James Bond-style raid would rid the world of a major terror base in Iraq. "Maybe it's a naïve and romantic notion, but if I were an American general, I would like to have a kind of James Bond operation to send in American, British and Israeli commandos to go in the evening, destroy all the factories of mass destruction and get out without killing a single person," Wiesel said...
