  • Rioters should be disqualified from student loan program

This is a question. If any person while protesting engages in property damage (which is not protect speech) and then arrested and convicted they should not be qualified for student loan programs. How does one communicate this to our elected officials? Since student loans are controlled by the executive branch, can an executive order bypass the do nothing house? Just asking because it seems even the conversation would give these rioters pause. Even if they are out of school, if they have loans then they should be disqualified from repayment forgiveness programs.

Black Lives Matter organizers sent video of the incident to KCCI this weekend. The video appears to show a man drive his pickup truck through a protest near the Park Avenue Hy-Vee in Des Moines. The company tweeted that it had terminated its relationship with Jeff Boucher, effective immediately. “His actions over the weekend were unacceptable and do not represent the values Wyckoff has built our business on. Wyckoff disapproves of his behavior and in no way condones his actions. Wyckoff is a family-owned company founded on the principles of always doing the right thing for the betterment of our...

So, I thought this was beyond comical... I took my wife and son to Asheville, North Carolina (Little Seattle) yesterday to walk around, shop, and have a few beers. In Pack Square Park, in the center of the city, a BLM protest was ongoing throughout the day. The protest was made up of about 200... ...white people. That's right, lily white people. Not a single black person to be found... ...in the protest that is. There were plenty of black people in town yesterday, but they weren't protesting. What were they doing, you might ask, while this momentous protest was...
  • Democrats in Congress want to know why drones were surveilling protesters in Detroit, other cities

Democrats in Congress are demanding answers about the use of drones to surveil protesters during rallies in Minneapolis, Detroit, and other cities. In a letter to federal law enforcement agencies, a group of 25 lawmakers, including Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Brenda Lawrence, called for the end of what they say is unconstitutional surveillance of law-abiding residents. “While the job of law enforcement is to protect Americans, limited actions may be necessary if a demonstration turns violent,” the letter states. “However, this authority does not grant the agencies you lead to surveil American citizens or collect vast amounts of personal information.”...

A Muslim woman arrested during a Black Lives Matter protest in Miami was forced to remove her hijab for a booking photo, which a Muslim civil rights advocate called a “severe violation of religious freedoms.” It also prompted supporters to start an online petition demanding justice for Alaa Massri, 18, one of seven people arrested June 10 during a peaceful protest against racial injustice. The arrests occurred after demonstrators spray-painted the Christopher Columbus and Juan Ponce de León statues in Bayfront Park, the Miami Police Department said in a statement. Protestors covered the face and hands of Columbus in red...

Mayor Jenny Durkan ordered Seattle’s libraries, community centers and playgrounds to remain closed through at least the end of June, as the region continues to haltingly reopen from coronavirus shutdowns. Durkan also extended the ban on all permitted events in the city (except farmers markets) even as large, unpermitted protests have become a daily fact of life in Seattle. Durkan herself is scheduled to speak at such an event on Friday, in observance of Juneteenth, along with several other elected officials. And a Juneteenth march is expected to draw thousands of people. Local officials have attempted to walk a tightrope...

Just a reminder, both BLM and NFL Anthem Kneeling started under Obama: In 2013, the movement began with the use of the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter on social media after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of African-American teen Trayvon Martin in February 2012. The movement became nationally recognized for street demonstrations following the 2014 deaths of two African Americans: Michael Brown—resulting in protests and unrest in Ferguson, a city near St. Louis—and Eric Garner in New York City. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Lives_Matter In the 49ers' third preseason game in 2016, Kaepernick sat during the playing of the U.S. national anthem prior...

SEATTLE (AP) - Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best says officers will go into the several-block area being occupied by protesters if there are threats to public safety. Police pulled back from a part of the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood after recent clashes with people protesting the Minneapolis death of George Floyd near the department’s East Precinct. A festival-like atmosphere has emerged in the area, now called the “Capitol Hill Occupied Protest,” with participants painting a Black Lives Matter mural on the street and planting a community garden. Best spoke after a business owner near the protest area complained that police...

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan and police chief Carmen Best are at odds over the city's handling of the self-declared autonomous zone set up by protesters spanning several blocks surrounding a police precinct. Best has accused the mayor of shirking her responsibilities as an elected official and allowing protesters to oust police officers from a precinct located inside the 6-block radius now deemed a "cop free zone." **SNIP** Attempts to identify the leaders of the organized demonstrations and negotiate a deal to allow officers back into the area have been unsuccessful. Best and Durkan appeared at a joint press conference on...

Washington - Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best said Sunday the groundswell of support for implementing police reforms that has erupted in the weeks following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis indicates that there will be long-lasting changes to policing. "This is a pivotal moment in history," Best said on "Face the Nation." "We are going to move in a different direction, and policing will never be the same as it was before." **SNIP** Best said protests are peaceful, but said it's been a challenge for her and other Seattle leaders to determine "who is a leader or an influencer."...

Dwight Howard has all the basketball reasons in the world to want to jump on a plane and head to Orlando to be part of the NBA’s restart of the season. He’s a key big man on a Lakers’ team that is the odds-on favorite to win it all, and a ring would be the cherry on top of his Hall of Fame career. But Dwight Howard says players should not play right now, there are far more critical things to focus on in society. Howard was part of Friday night’s 80-player call, led by Kyrie Irving, discussing whether players...

We recently learned the identities of three of the people who were throwing Molotov cocktails at NYPD police cars and officers during the recent riots. The trio was also responsible for manufacturing the firebombs and attempting to distribute them to others. Samantha Shader already had a rap sheet as long as your arm, but Colinford Mattis and Urooj Rahman were both attorneys who had been practicing in the Big Apple until recently. Their case has been moving forward since their arrests and we’re now learning what they’ll be up against when they go to trial. Because the feds have...

A Tulsa, Oklahoma police major says he’s “extremely concerned” that cops across America are on the verge of quitting amid global protests against law enforcement. “Every department, every officer you talk to is looking to leave,” Maj. Travis Yates told Fox News‘ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” adding that he is “extremely concerned” for the future of law enforcement. Yates told Carlson that held felt morale among law enforcement officers “was really low” following the 2014 shooting of Michael Brown by then-Ferguson, Mo. police officer Darren Wilson. “As everybody knows, President Obama’s administration found no evidence of wrongdoing in Ferguson even though...

In another example of anti-white racism, the Black Lives Matter group forced allied white protesters to the back of the march during a rally in Seattle, Washington. Reports from the protest on Friday reveal that the BLM organization created a “black-led march” to the Antifa-controlled Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) in the heart of downtown Seattle. In the Baltimore suburb of Dundalk, Pastor Stacey Shiflett made some headlines recently when he stood at the lectern in the Calvary Baptist Church and tore up a cease and desist order he’d received from the government. Declaring that his congregation was “going to do it God’s way,” he insisted that if Walmart could be open, then his church would serve the needs of the congregation. He proceeded to do just that on the following Sunday, while ensuring that congregants observed social distancing rules and had their temperatures taken upon arrival.Good to their word, the government turned around and...

What are you really seeing as Americans kneel, hands raised in secular prayer, repeating political creeds on the TV news? And that secular foot-washing? You're witness to neo-Marxist appropriation of Christian symbolism, in the aftermath of the horrifying Minneapolis police killing of George Floyd. And now, the priests of the secularist left separate the biblical sheep from the goats on the basis of skin color. Floyd, an African American, was killed by a white cop who has been charged with murder. Most, if not all, Americans were disgusted at that cop's knee on Floyd's neck. And most Americans, of all...
