Houston Tea Party Rally Send Message to Left and Right

They gathered, young and old, black, white and hispanic. They wore spirited clothes, with bold patriotic words on the front. They held signs, they cheered, they jeered, they made their voices heard. An eyeball guestimate of between 3,500 and 4,500 people showed up at the Houston Tea Party Society's "Declare Your Independence" Rally and Celebration yesterday afternoon at Discovery Green in Downtown Houston. Even the stifling heat streaming rivulets of sweat could not dampen the enthusiasm of this crowd. They came from all over to attend.

Fresnans stand in solidarity with the Iranian People!

Received the following email message from FReeper Stuart Weil yesterday while we were at the Reagan Library: "Last week I noticed a small group of demonstrators on the corner of Blackstone and Shaw peacefully holding signs protesting the tyranny of the Iranian dictator Ali Khamenei and for human rights of their fellow Iranian’s who wish to live in freedom instead of oppression, violence, discrimination and fanaticism at the hands of the Iranian Mullahs. Although I am not Iranian, I stand with them in solidarity and share their frustration and anger at the repressive Iranian regime." "President Obama has been virtually...

Deja Vu - No Moonbats: FReep/Rally 48 - Westminster, MD 6-13-09

2 FReep/Rallies in a row and moonbats are a NO SHOW! Since I have no pictures to share, I’m using one from a previous AAR. Seems appropriate, don’t you think? OK, it’s not Under New Management, it’s Under No Management, but you get the picture! We certainly don’t have the numbers we want in Westminster, but there are at least 2 of us there supporting our Troops the 2nd and last Saturday of each month. We cannot let them down, especially in these troubled times. God Bless our Troops and America. We need to take America back! Keep attending those...

Beck delivers Paine in his Common Sense

The Merriam-Webster definition of "common sense" is pretty straightforward: "sound and prudent judgment based on a simple perception of the situation or facts." The phrase originated in 1726 — 50 years before Thomas Paine penned his pamphlet, "Common Sense," and gave voice to the rising sentiments of American colonists before the Revolutionary War. Glenn Beck, Fox News commentator and host of a talk show on TV and radio, thought perhaps it was time for America to have a little more Paine — which is why he penned a 21st century version of the "Common Sense" pamphlet.

Houston Tea Party Society Invites You To Declare Your Independence

The Houston Tea Party Society is coming off some great successes in the past few months. First was their incredibly well attended, lively rally, held in Downtown Houston on Tax Day, then they held a successful protest when Nancy Pelosi came to town, and now they’re gearing up for their biggest event ever.

Letter written by an Iranian woman who is going to attend the anti-regime rally Sat.:

I may die... I'll participate in the rally tomorrow in Tehran. It might be violent. I may be one of those who will die tomorrow. I want to listen to all beautiful tunes that I have heard in my life, again. I want to listen to some cheap Los Angeles music. I always wanted to have much narrower eyebrows too. Yeah, I'll check in with my hair-dresser tomorrow before I go to the rally. Oh, there are some excellent scenes in the famous Iranian movie Hamoon I want to see before I leave. And I gotta re-visit my own bookshelf....

FLAG DAY RALLY FOR FREEDOM

Sunday, June 14, 2009. New Richmond, Ohio was the sight of the Flag Day Rally for Freedom, and gray sky and a late monsoon like downpour could not damper the spirit of about 500 people of like mind. Although I arrived late, along with muggs, I heard rousing, inspirational, informative speeches by Mike Wilson, organizer of Cincinnati Tea Party, and Tom Tabback, author of THINGS FORGOTTEN, and JOE THE PLUMBER. Cincinnati 912 Project was also represented. www.Cincinnati912Project.com. Photos coming

NY Tea Party Patriots March on Albany! Thread I

Calling all NY Freepers!! Liberty Starts Here Again! Much of the significant fighting early on in the Revolutionary War occurred in New York – Fort Ontario, Fort Ticonderoga, The Battle of Saratoga, The Battle of Long Island, Fort Stanwix, Manhattan, White Plains, and many more. With Liberty so imperiled today, our hope is that Liberty starts here again in New York. Our message to our representatives is simple: We're Voting the Ins Out! Tuesday, June 16th at high noon (12 – 3 pm) in East Capitol Park

Other than the list of patriots, I’m not going to separate the two weeks. But if you look at the sky, Week 177 was sunny, and Week 178 was over cast.
Celebrating gun rights in the enemy's back yard(Chicago)

A gun rights rally in Chicago, of all places? A bit counterintuitive, perhaps, but it's one more sign that the gun rights advocacy movement in Illinois is tired of playing defense--that now, it's the citizen disarmament advocates who are going to have to try to stop us, rather than the other way around. If you live anywhere near Chicago, this is where you need to be on Friday, June 26th, from 11 AM to 1 PM. The U.S. Supreme court issued a ruling recognizing the Second Amendment is an INDIVIDUAL right of the PEOPLE on June 26, 2008. In light...

It's been awhile since our last FReep/Rally and my AAR. We were scheduled to be on Main St. the day before Mother's Day, but were informed that there was a Mother's Day flower show, which shut Main St. down. So, we haven't disappeared like the moonbats did today. Lurker Bill and I held our ground and showed support for our Troops. It was a pretty uneventful day and just like the big clock on Main St., time stood still for a bit. [Mr] Trooprally can attest that time does stand still occasionally in Westminster!
Rally's theme: 'No more taxes' (1500 in Raleigh)

Hundreds of protesters massed behind the legislative building Wednesday, with a simple message in dark financial times. "No more taxes!" they shouted. Some carried signs and "Don't Tread on Me" flags for the event, dubbed "Take Back Our State Tea Party." A collection of conservative groups brought in nationally recognized speakers such as FOX News' Mary Katharine Ham and Joe "The Plumber" Wurzelbacher to speak against proposed tax increases in next year's budget.
Thousands rally in support of gay marriage ban (Fresno and San Diego)

Thousands of supporters of California's ban on same-sex marriage rallied in Fresno and San Diego on Sunday in what organizers described as a celebration of traditional wedlock and a thank-you to the California Supreme Court for upholding their voter-approved measure. The demonstrations followed Saturday's gathering of gay rights supporters in Fresno to renew efforts to reverse Proposition 8, which the high court let stand early last week. The dueling weekend rallies underscored the fact that, despite an election and a Supreme Court decision, the issue of same-sex marriage remains divisive in California. In San Diego, about 200 Proposition 8 supporters...

We, in Wisconsin are tiptoeing no more about gun rights. Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen opened the box and gave us our BOOTS. Open Carry Picnics are being organized around the state. Local officials are being asked questions. Village attorneys are ducking phone calls. The genie is out of the bottle. I recently sent several letters to the editor of our local weekly paper. He published them. The result was a very complete story this week, and more to come. http://www.wiscnews.com/spe/news/451912 Finally, people are beginning to realize what we have known all along. Peaceful Open Carry is Legal in Wisconsin....
