About 2,000 people arrived on Sunday evening at the government complex in Tel Aviv to demonstrate against public housing conditions in Israel. During the protest, the demonstrators tried to block major traffic arteries. At the same time, there were also demonstrations in Jerusalem, Haifa and Be’er Sheva. Five protesters were arrested during the demonstration in Jerusalem after they tried to block a street. The latest protests came following Saturday night’s self-immolation of Moshe Silman, a social justice protester who set himself ablaze during a rally in Tel Aviv, blaming government officials for his troubles. Prior to lighting the match, the...

I got an email yesterday from a friend wondering if I was interested in going to an anti-ObamaCare rally in Boston. To be honest, I didn't want to go. I was still fairly glum about the Supreme Court decision regarding ObamaCare. There were a lot of things today I would have much rather been doing. But I have been grousing so often to friends and acquaintances about this decision, I didn't feel as though I had any choice. So I went. It was a small crowd (I am guessing in the range of 50-100) but they had some speakers who...

The Good Lord Blessed us with an overcast sky so the heat was bearable. About 300 were there, which is pretty good considering there was only about a 3 or 4 day notice. One thing I noticed was that there were a lot more young folks attending than usual and I've been to most of the rallys here since 2009. I have some pics, but need educated on how to post them.

They chanted. They marched. They sat cross-legged on the two-lane highway in front of the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Lower Providence Township on Thursday, closing it to traffic for more than 90 minutes. "No papers, no fear, immigrants are marching here!" the three dozen or so demonstrators shouted. "Hey, Obama, don't deport my mama!" After a police lieutenant with a bullhorn asked the protesters three times to disperse, officers swooped in on foot and on bicycles, and made three arrests. Handcuffed and taken into custody were Jose Luna, 23; Erika Guadalupe Nunez, 21; and Sheila Quintana, 19. Luna is...

Obama, Elizabeth Warren rally Boston faithful with populist pitchJune 25, 2012|By Michael A. Memoli BOSTON – President Obama joined forces with Elizabeth Warren in making a populist pitch before the party faithful at a fundraiser here, saying voters will decide this fall whether to return to policies that benefit a wealthy few or invest in an economy focused on building a more prosperous middle class. **SNIP** “I don’t believe that government can solve every problem,” he said. But he quoted Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president, as saying that government should do what individuals cannot do well by themselves. “There’s...

A pro-Walker Marine vet got into a few confrontations at Democrat Tom Barrett’s rally today with Bill Clinton in Wisconsin. The Franklin Center has video. They couldn’t handle the truth. So, union cops were called in and dragged him out of the rally and arrested him. They didn’t like what he was saying. The Marine is predicting a 10 point win for Scott Walker. I second that.

Private pilots who may want to fly near Chicago on the weekend of May 19-20 have been warned they could be shot down, and a Red Cross memo suggests there could be mass evacuations of the city in the event of riots by left-leaning activists protesting the NATO summit. Less than a day’s drive away, however, near Jefferson City, Mo., at the same time there will be an event for Americans who also are worried about the nation. But instead of protests and riots, participants will focus on how to build up America, repair it and stabilize it for future...
