Just two months ago, she accused her mother of horrific abuse in an emotional outpouring on American TV. Her late mother, Susan Barrantes, regularly beat her, the Duchess of York alleged during her reality show Finding Sarah. 'When she used to hit me because I didn't sit on my potty or wouldn't eat, a little vein would come up on the centre of my head near my red hair,' she said, adding that her mother called it the 'sign of the devil' and would shout, 'I'm going to beat that devil out!'

The reality TV show "Police Women of Broward County" is under fire again. Broward Public Defender Howard Finkelstein wants to know if there is any sort of incentive pay or benefits given to deputies who appear on TLC's Thursday night cable program that may taint testimony against his clients. He's demanding that the state attorney and county sheriff reveal the officers' confidential contracts. Spokesmen for the sheriff and state attorney say they don't have the contracts. The state attorney's office and the TV show's lawyer both say a judge should review the legal agreements for any possible conflict. "This is...

In this video, you will see a woman who competed in the 17th season of the reality television show, "The Amazing Race", get smashed by a watermelon. "The Amazing Race" is a show that pits teams of two people against each other in a series of challenges that take place all over the world. The race takes the contestants on planes, balloons, helicopters, trucks, bicycles, taxicabs, rental cars, trains, buses, boats, and by foot as they attempt to beat the members of the other teams to "pit stops". All in an attempt win prizes and avoid the possibility of...

Up tonight on TLC’s Sarah Palin’s Alaska: the former governor is waging war on “anti-hunting hypocrisy.” “See how we fill our freezers and feed our families with home-grown tundra-roaming Alaskan wild game,” wrote Palin on Facebook. “And, PETA, please remember: Alaskans eat, therefore we hunt.” She also indicated that the episode would showcase the potential for oil drilling in Alaska’s Article National Wildlife Refuge. “You’ll also see us hunting at the edge of ANWR,” Palin promised, “where you can see the uninhabited lands that warehouse billions of barrels of American energy supplies underground just waiting for the political will to...

Abusive LDS stake primary president on Dr. Phil. This video was VERY difficult for me to watch. http://drphil.com/videos/?Url=/house/flv/9039_1.flv&background=header_drphil_video.jpg This information was sent to me by someone who remembered her from a visit to a friend in her area and that she was a primary president at the time. Primary is the mormon childrens' organization. The father is a policeman. The following link to her blog verifies her identity. http://thebeagleybunch.blogspot.com/ The boy is adopted from Russia. There are six children in the home, one a special needs child. The 10 year old daughter took the video. ...

Bryan Nehman of "The Grandy Group" on 630 WMAL (Washington, DC) mentioned this morning that perhaps a reality show should be created in order to depict and get together the moderate Muslims alongside the more radical band and see how they "work out" their differences (much like 'Big Brother' or 'Biggest Loser', etc.) What should we name this hypothetical 'reality show'?

The makers of the hit television reality show “Jon & Kate Plus 8” are producing a new series that easily could be called “Kody & Meri & Janelle & Robyn Plus 15.” “Sister Wives,” a seven-episode series for the TLC network, is the first reality show that follows a polygamist family. Filmmakers are profiling Kody Brown and his three sister wives, a group of fundamentalist Mormons in Utah (the family does not want to reveal the city they live in). The show, which was introduced at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Beverly Hills Friday, premieres Sept. 26...

he 'born-again' American teenager who had been attempting to sail solo around the world defends herself against the critics of her young age INDIAN OCEAN - Sixteen-year-old American Abby Sunderland, a "born again" teenage girl attempting to sail solo around the world, was rescued on Saturday, June 12, 2010 in a remote spot of the Indian Ocean, bringing to a successful conclusion the dramatic bid to save her life. Abby, who is part of a Southern California Christian family, was picked up from her stricken vessel by a dinghy launched from the French fishing boat Ile de la Reunion.
-
SAINT-DENIS, Reunion -- Sixteen-year-old sailor Abby Sunderland is homeward bound - though her plane flight back to California isn't the homecoming she originally imagined when she set off in hopes of sailing around the world. About two weeks after her rescue at sea, Sunderland departed Sunday from the French island of Reunion, off the southeastern coast of Africa, en route to France, then on to California.
-
Here's a dose of reality. The father of teen sailor Abby Sunderland told The NY Post that he's broke and had signed a contract to do a reality show, "Adventures in Sunderland," about his family of daredevil kids weeks after she set off on her doomed and dangerous solo sail around the globe.
-
Abby Sunderland's recent adventure has everyone questioning teen safety. It all depends one how one defines it. Parents, where are your teenage daughters? They had better be "safe" at home watching the perverse antics of Disney role models like Miley Cyrus or Lindsay Lohan on TV. Perhaps they're "safe" at school, where they are being educated about the sexual revolution, and in some states, being ushered "safely" by administrators to a clinic where the abortion procedure will be administered with you parents none the wiser. At the very worst, one can rest assured that even if America's daughters have ventured...

The left is hard at work to derail Sarah Palin's Alaska a new documentary-style TV series from American Idol producer Mark Burnett. The left is organizing a letter writing campaign to the Discovery Channel urging the cable network to dump the show before it even airs...why? Palin Derangement Syndrome!
-
That is not exactly a “reality show” now is it? A” travelogue” in the style of the Discovery Channel’s “Life” or “Planet Earth” is a little different than watching problem ridden B actors, on their last leg of stardom, self-destruct before a voyeuristic audience. I don’t watch much television but I did catch part of the new “Life” documentary on Discovery the other night. It was interesting and very well produced. Anyone that knows me will tell you that I wouldn’t waste my time watching reality TV or tabloid gossip shows. Documentaries are a much different variety of entertainment that...

The "Amazing Race"-like competition takes 25 teams of two people each on an around-the-world adventure. Teams selected from the entries will not know which 10 countries they will be traveling to. The event starts April 9 somewhere on the West Coast and concludes May 1 somewhere on the East Coast. National Geographic has called the event "like 'Survivor', 'The Amazing Race' and the 'Eco-Challenge' all rolled into one, except with much more cultural interaction." Experiences include things such as swimming with baby elephants, learning...

Murder charges were filed Thursday against a reality TV contestant whose model-ex wife was found strangled in a Dumpster. Now all cops have to do is find Ryan Alexander Jenkins, who has been on the lam since Saturday and is believed to have hot-footed it across the border into Canada. More details about the grisly murder of 26-year-old Jasmine Fiore were expected to be revealed later by prosecutors in Orange County, Calif., and by police in the city of Buena Park, where she was found. The developments came amid revelations that Jenkins beat up a former girlfriend in Calgary and...

remember being a boy of about 8, feeling helpless to bring my fighting parents closer together, and then seeing a vision of myself, running from home to home, rescuing those that could still be saved. I even gave myself a moniker: "The marriage missionary," and later, "the Love Prophet." I would spend long hours thinking about the secret of how to keep a husband and wife happily under the same roof for the duration of their lives. When I flew on airplanes I would watch the couples sitting together and try and discern the difference between those that were smiling...

LOS ANGELES - Take seven brainy nerds and seven dim beauties, add Ashton Kutcher as a matchmaker and what do you get? A television reality series, of course. Kutcher, the brains behind MTV's "Punk'd," is producing the new series for the WB network this summer. The goal of "Beauty and the Geek" is to couple seemingly mismatched pairs and see which can work best together, said David Janollari, the network's entertainment president, on Saturday. "It's really looking at stereotypes of people and how we look at beautiful women and not-so-beautiful men," he said. They will go through a series of...

CLEVELAND (AP) -- A viewer is suing NBC for $2.5 million, contending that he threw up because of a "Fear Factor" episode in which contestants ate rats mixed in a blender. Austin Aitken told The Associated Press he watches "Fear Factor" often and had no problem with past installments where the reality show's participants ate worms and insects in pursuit of a $50,000 prize - but eating rats went "too far." "It's barbaric, some of the things they ask these individuals to do," Aitken said Thursday. Aitken's handwritten lawsuit contends the rat-eating made his blood pressure rise, resulting in being...

In it, Cameron and Comfort blend informal teaching with on-the-street interviews to train Christians how to share their faith "simply, effectively, and biblically … the way Jesus did." "We are...

(Aug. 17) -- Toxicology tests confirm that Michael Tata died from a combination of the painkiller fentanyl and alcohol. The popular casino executive was found dead at his home in Henderson in July. It's now believed that the powerful opium-based painkiller, fentanyl, is at least partly to blame. The coroner says Tata's death was accidental. But UMC clinical pharmacist Don Frisch says that fentanyl can turn deadly if it's used used recreationally, especially if alcohol is added to the mix: "But when used in combination with other respiratory depressants, like alcohol or valium, you can actually have an enhanced effect...

Just a hunch. Self-proclaimed flower child in MA, bossy, wants to be the center of attention, blames everybody else when she turns people off with her rudeness(love how she got drunk in front of the children at a dinner out with her 'new' family), lots of class-warfare references seeming to arise from insecurity and jealousy, 'knows better than everyone else' yet unrealistic. "I, I, I", "Poor, poor me", victim, victim, victim. Seems to think that someone good-looking and rich couldn't simply be nice, no, they must be fake, of ill-gotten wealth, etc. Or maybe editing does wonders. No doubt that...

It's summer once again, which means it is time for what many dub "the ultimate reality show", Big Brother! For 3 months, 13 contestants, or "houseguests" must live together in a one-story house with absolutely NO contact from the outside world, while cameras and microphones capture their every move 24 hours a day. Each week, one houseguest is voted out with the sole remaining houseguest taking home half a million dollars. This year, the producers have introduced the "X-Factor" to Big Brother. 10 of the 13 houseguests were stunned to find out that an ex-boyfriend or girlfriend of theirs was also...
