Many of you are familiar with the images I have created. For those of you that might not be that familiar you can see a gallery of images at www.registeredmedia.com/gallery and an overview of some of the many images that have made it into the mainstream. Since 1998 I have been expressing my political point of view mostly through the graphics I have created in the form of parody and satire. Many have been created from the direct suggestions by many of the readers of various conservative websites (including this one) and emails from people all over the world. I...

(01-08) 09:54 PST MARTINEZ -- Convicted sexual predator Cary Verse should remain at a state hospital for violating the terms of his release by having a 14-year-old boy in his car and for trying to hide his associations with people with a criminal history, a Contra Costa County judge ruled today. Verse, 36, bowed his head and covered his face with his hands after Superior Court Judge John Kennedy said the registered sex offender needs additional inpatient treatment at Atascadero State Hospital, from where he was conditionally released in February 2004. A jury trial was scheduled for April 30 to...

Well, some of you may know that I am on vacation. I am in Northern Michigan camping with friends and family. They put me on a FReeperless diet and it is KILLING ME. The fish weren't biting so they (foolishly!) sent me into "town" for some provisions and the clerk here had an internet connection. I paid him a couple of bucks and here I am! Hahaha! I'll hide some food in the next day or so. Maybe they'll send me back here! Logging off! Bye

Michael Guirdy Allen was one of more than 400,000 people who fled the New Orleans area after Hurricane Katrina crippled the city's levees and flooded its streets. The 40-year-old man from Harvey, a suburb of New Orleans, still hasn't returned. But Allen left behind a string of warrants for charges as far back as 2000, including attempted murder, false imprisonment, three counts of child molestation and aggravated assault. Allen is one of more than 2,000 fugitives and sex offenders whom local, state and federal authorities are trying to locate and, in cases such as Allen's, arrest. Two months after Katrina...

Ban sex offenders from Georgia May 4, 2005 By William John Hagan Houston Home Journal (Warner-Robins, Perry Georgia) http://news.mywebpal.com/index.cfm?pnpid=963 Despite the recent spree of abductions and murders by registered sex offenders, this should in no way be considered a new problem. According to a U.S. Department of Justice report in 1994, within three years of release, 2.5 percent of rapists were arrested for another rape, and sex offenders were about four times more likely than non-sex offenders to be arrested for another sex crime after their discharge from prison. Many states have the common sense to warn neighbors when a...

When one enters "Margaret Sanger" into google to search for an image, the #5 image to appear these days is the image below created by Freerepublic's own, Registered. The image is based upon the following account from Margaret Sanger's autobiography: Here is Sanger's account of her trip to talk to the Ku Klux Klan from pages 366-367 of Margaret Sanger An Autobiography (1971 reprint by Dover Publications, Inc. of the 1938 original published by W.W. Norton & Company). All the world over, in Penang and Skagway, in El Paso and Helsingfors, I have found women's psychology in the matter of...

According to ABC News, only 25% of voters believe every vote will be counted properly. That's good news, actually. It means that something approaching 75% of voters know that the Democrats are planning to cheat any way they can. Anyone else notice the unions have not run political ads this year? Unions got together and decided they could better use that ad money as "get out the vote" money. There is no telling how much money they will be spreading around, but I would guess it would total somewhere between one-hundred and a hundred-twenty million. That's how much they think...

President George W. Bush maintains a clear lead over Democrat John F. Kerry and continues to be perceived by most voters as the candidate best able to deal with Iraq and the war on terrorism, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll. Bush currently receives 51 percent among likely voters while Kerry gets 45 percent and independent Ralph Nader receives 1 percent. Among all registered voters, Bush holds a seven-point advantage.

An interesting trend that has been noted by many on the forums is that a fair number of polls this election cycle have actually shown President Bush with a larger lead among registered voters as compared to likely voters. For example the latest AP poll this week had Bush up 52%-45% among "likely" voters, but his lead was 51%-42% among "registered" voters (one pointer larger among registered voters than the previous AP poll even). Some, including myself, have questioned whether there is a trend toward voting more Republican in the electorate in general that may be present and accounting for...

WHEN John Knoll created Photoshop in 1989, he knew he was designing an image-editing program that could be used in good ways and bad. But even Mr. Knoll, who wrote the software with his brother, Tom, was unprepared for how outlandish photo manipulation would become. "When we worked on it, mostly we saw the possibilities, the cool things," said Mr. Knoll, 41. "Not how it would be abused." The same tools that can be used to crop, retouch and otherwise edit digital images can be used just as easily to distort, alter and fabricate them. With Photoshop and similar programs...

The photographer who snapped John Kerry attending a 1971 anti-war rally says he and his photo agency intend to track down -- and possibly sue -- whoever doctored and circulated a photo that made it appear that the then 27-year-old Vietnam veteran was appearing alongside actress Jane Fonda.

A UC Berkeley journalism lecturer's 32-year-old photograph of future Democratic U.S. Senator and presidential candidate John Kerry has wound up in a forgery that suckered the New York Times.

Ken Light, head of the photojournalism program at UCB's Graduate School of Journalism, has found himself in the eye of a media and Internet storm after a clever forger inserted an image of Jane Fonda alongside his image of Kerry and posted the composite on the Internet.

Mother of 2 girls is appealing 2001 child abduction conviction By Claire Osborn AMERICAN-STATESMAN STAFF Friday, October 17, 2003 Six years of agony for Debbie Schmidt ended in 15 minutes Thursday in a Travis County courtroom. The woman who battled courts in two states and spent a year in jail to keep her children away from their sex-offender father finally won. District Judge Jeanne Meurer awarded Schmidt custody of 9-year-old Eliana and 11-year-old Lora. "I feel like I have been raising you," Meurer said, smiling at Schmidt. The case has been in Meurer's court since the late 1990s. Schmidt, sitting...

OK, let's create one master reference thread for our favorite classic political pictures. I keep seeing requests inside of threads for particular pictures, so how about we post our favorites here, and then if someone still can't find what they are looking for they can request it in a post here. Bookmark for future reference. Here are some of my favorites to start things off: Anyone got the version where his ears are wiggling? And my all-time favorite Bush photo

An Aspen Times exclusive: Preston Mendenhall, who grew up in Aspen, is MSNBC.com's international editor. He is covering the war from northern Iraq and has agreed to send us twice-weekly dispatches about his experiences. SULAIMANIYAH, Iraq - The Kurdish official stopped himself midsentence and ordered an aide to turn up the television. "Is this video of Baghdad?" he asked to no one in particular. I, too, was transfixed. Iraq's capital, the center of Saddam Hussein's regime, was throwing a welcoming party for arriving American troops. In the Kurdish security chief's office, once his assistant confirmed the celebrations in Baghdad,...

Never miss another Registered@aol.com image! Over the years, I have had many requests from FReepers for a way to never miss an image I have posted. Some images that I have done are not standalone, but are simply my non-verbal contribution to a thread. It's the way I express myself, and I appreciate JimRob putting up with me. (well, sometimes he doesn't put up with me and that's okay..)Whenever a new image is posted at FreeRepublic, it will also be sent to anyone that signs up to the Yahoo Group politicalparody! If I post an image within a thread,...

Lost: 2,900 sex offenders. We swear they were right here just a minute ago. Not all are housebroken or declawed. If located, do not try returning them yourself. Contact the Wisconsin Department of Corrections; we'll send a guy with a net. Reward? Not with a billion dollar state budget deficit there ain't. You might want to refrain from asking all your neighbors if they're the pervs the state is looking for. People hate that. Our state needs help. The Department of Corrections has mislaid nearly one-third of the registered sex offenders in Wisconsin, according to a report this week....

That the election of the Senator from Colorado is a "too close to call" race is a given at this point. But to strike a bit of fear into your hearts, here are some statistics from the 2000 Presidential elections. Republicans registered to vote: 955,062 Republicans actually voting: 181,461 (or 19%). Put simply; this is a sure way to loose an election. Talk is cheap and easy. This November: VOTE!

About 2,000 convicted sex offenders in Maine did not register with authorities by this week's deadline, police said.

The number of crimes covered by the state's registration law was expanded by the state Legislature in 1999 and 2000. The changes, which took effect last September, also made the law retroactive to 1992.
