This week, Americans of all political stripes will take to the streets -- so to speak -- to protest what they see as excessive and out of control government spending and intrusion into their daily lives. Among the many Tea Party protesters, however, will be individuals plotting to undermine the peaceful grassroots movement. Blogger Glenn Reynolds spotted CrashTheTeaParty.org today, a website that claims to represent "a nationwide network of Democrats, Republicans and Independents who are all sick and tired of that loose affiliation of racists, homophobes and morons; who constitute the fake grassroots movement, which calls itself 'the Tea Party.'"...

Just ran across this website. Sounds like an attempt to organize groups (SEIU, etc) to go into the typically peaceful tea party protests and pose as "tea party" folks--thus probably causing fights, mayhem, "chanting racial slurs", etc...since they couldn't PROVE tea party folks were spitting, causing fights, or yelling racial slurs, guess they have to do it themselves. I guess it's ok for THEM to disrupt political expression as long as it doesn't meet THEIR approval. I'm sure this has Oldblabblab's hands all over it. Sounds like a typical fascist move. http://crashtheteaparty.org/ http://www.crashtheteaparty.org/phpBB3/ Just a heads up...

Eidsmoe reportedly spoke at an Alabama Secession rally, Zielinski said. He covered topics touching on slavery and the Constitution. Eidsmoe’s speech in the rally claimed God ordained slavery, and Jefferson Davis was a much better President of the Confederate States than Abraham Lincoln ever was for the United States. “He’s a pseudo-intellectual racist who belongs to the League of the South and whose writings happen to pop up on neo-Nazi websites,” Zielinski said.

It seems some enterprising young liberal has taken it upon himself to single handedly vanquish the evil tea party movement. He’s created a new website called crashtheteaparty.org. The purpose of this group as stated on their homepage is “To dismantle and demolish the Tea Party by any non-violent means necessary.” Apparently they intend to do this by infiltrating the tea party and attacking from within. It gets better. Again from their homepage, the group describes themselves thus. A nationwide network of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who are all sick and tired of that loose affiliation of racists, homophobes, and morons;...

Really, it was only a matter of time before the anarchists realized that their number was up in the Left’s quiet draft to raise an army to intimidate and oppose tea party activists. A web site called Infoshop News – described on its banner as offering “anarchist news, opinion and much more” – is issuing a rallying cry to its readers to begin organizing aggressive counterdemonstrations to pushback against a tea party movement that growing across the country. Specifically, Infoshop News is signaling that April 15 protests will be a major focus of their efforts, a day when tea parties...

Out of a nation of more than three hundred million Americans, only forty-two threats against Congressmen and Senators were reported in the first three months of this year. However, the Democrats and the news media have made it seem like Congress is under siege from right wing Tea Party terrorists ready to slaughter representatives over the health care takeover bill. The Washington Post reported tonight that threats have increased "nearly threefold" over the fifteen threats received in the last three months of 2009.The Post headlined the article with the ominous sounding "Anger over health-care reform spurs rise in threats against Congress...

The mercury is running high, all right, and it has nothing to do with the weather. Public displays of political anger have been a staple of the American scene for the last eight months or so, but in recent days a handful directed at members of Congress have gone a bit further than noisy, sign-carrying assembly to window-smashing, spitting, threatening faxes and phone calls, even a cut propane line on a barbecue grill. ..." They heeded a pamphleteer's call for "manly opposition to the machinations of tyranny" — the 60 American colonists who stormed Griffin's Wharf and emptied 342 chests of tea into Boston Harbor. And with that, a revolution brewed. Now, more than two centuries later, come the angry throngs of the modern-day tea party. They've gotten the nation's attention. Can they foment their own revolution? Not yet. The Associated Press reviewed tea party operations in almost every state, interviewing dozens of local organizers as well as Democratic and Republican strategists to produce a portrait of the movement to date — and its...

  • Rep. Steve Cohen says Tea Party movement shows America's hardcore side against diversity

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- U.S. Congressman Steve Cohen is drawing national attention for remarks he made about the tea party movement in a recent radio interview. The Commercial Appeal reports that the two-term Democrat said the tea party - "without hoods and robes" - has shown an angry, hardcore side of America that's against diversity. He made the comments Thursday night on The Young Turks, an Internet and satellite radio talk show. Cohen went on to say tea party members have shown hostility toward anybody who isn't "a clone of George Wallace's fan club," and that he has seen no...

You suck. Yes, you, Mr. Reader, you big, umm, doo-doo head. . . . Sorry, I just can't do it -- I thought I would enter into the prevailing spirit of online commentary, its slash-and-burn casual meanness. But the truth is, I am in no position to comment upon your degree of suckiness. Rep. Jane Harman (D-CA), speaking on Meet the Press this morning, equated with terrorists the thousands of Americans who thronged the Capitol during the recent Tea Party protests against the Democrats' takeover of the health care system.Harman was talking about the arrests this week of 'militia' members charged with domestic terrorism and how their alleged plans were to use improvised explosive devices as part of a plot to kill law enforcement officers.Harman directly pivoted from that to invoking the Capitol Police officers who guard Capitol Hill, saying that they were the only thing protecting Congress from a similar fate during...

Easter’s message is a simple one. It is about love and redemption. I didn’t see much love of fellow men in Searchlight last week. I heard a lot of hate, though. Do the folks who have claimed the Tea Party as their express ride to better government really believe they are more patriotic than the thousands of people who show up every day to work for the government — local, state and national — on their behalf? There are people everywhere who don’t carry their own weight. Those aside, does anyone really believe the people who have been attracted to...

Differences of opinion and ideology, passionately held, drive the opposition against ObamaCare. Yet to shut down the effort to overturn ObamaCare's unpopular assault on freedom and prosperity, the left resorts to a frequently employed tactic. They and their media co-conspirators find whack jobs holding stupid signs — or saying or doing stupid things — and say, "See! Right-wing intolerance, hatred and racism fuel this movement." Idiots, wing nuts and haters exist — on both sides of the political spectrum — in a country of 300 million people. Those who threaten and engage in violence should be arrested and prosecuted. Those...

Just received the following email alert regarding the Tax Day Tea Party for Sacramento, CA.: Many of us have been getting disturbing emails and phone calls regarding the counter protests or "crashers" we are expecting on the day of our event. This did happen last year as well so plan for it. It's much better to be prepared than surprised. Here are some suggestions for our event and "crashers": 1. We will introduce ourselves to the local police on that day as the permit holder. We have already spoken with Officer Troy on many occasions and he knows us and...

The man at the center of the Guardians of the free Republics is Texas talk-show host Sam Kennedy – and he's already gotten a Texas radio station in hot water as law enforcement reacted rapidly to what has been construed as a direct threat to all 50 US governors. Mr. Kennedy "is the focal point of this, these guardians. He was in the mix in setting this whole thing up, and he's up to his eyeballs in this Restore America project," says John Stadtmiller, who runs Republic Broadcasting Network based in Round Rock, Texas, which broadcasts Kennedy's weekly "Take No...
