Jewish Issues: A Clarification to Christians about Their Perception on the Jews Beheadings, Crucifixions, the Inquisition, the Crusades, Pogroms, Spits and Socialism By Julio Severo Sometimes, I receive accusations from Christians, who say that I emphasize Muslim persecution against Christians in the Middle East, but I never mention how the Jews also persecute Christians. Actually, I have never published a single article on Jews in Israel beheading and crucifying Christians. On the other hand, I have already published many articles on Muslims committing such atrocities. The reason for it is not omission or some attempt to hide alleged beheadings...

The Freedom From Religion Foundation is a perpetually offended atheist group. They unethically use the threat of legal action to bully municipalities into conforming to their secular demands or face MASSIVE legal bills. Fortunately, they just saw their efforts to stop a Christmas parade backfire… in a huge way! In Piedmont, Alabama, city officials were under so much pressure from the atheist organization that parade organizers were forced to cancel this year’s parade theme: “Keep Christ in Christmas.” However, that didn’t stop the people of Piedmont from expressing their Christian faith and showing their love of Jesus Christ:

"God is good to me, he's bestowed on me a healthy dose of unawareness." Pope Francis, see here. “From the start I said to myself: ‘Jorge, don't change, just keep on being yourself, because to change at your age would be to make a fool of yourself.’” (From the same article). Dr. Dietrich von Hildebrand reminds us that, "The capacity to grasp values, to affirm them, and to respond to them, is the foundation for realizing the moral values of man. Now these marks can be found only in the man who possesses reverence. Reverence is the attitude which can...

Published on American Thinkerby Enza Ferreri I'm not sure how conservative Americans will view the recently-published book Democracy as a Neocon Trick (Amazon USA) (Amazon UK) by Alexander Boot. It’s a very unusual work, in that, whereas critics of America are generally on the Left end of the political spectrum and those on the Right tend to unquestionably defend the “land of the free”, this is a criticism of the US from a non-Leftist viewpoint, indeed from a traditional, conservative, Christian, pre-Enlightenment viewpoint. I don’t agree with everything the author says about America, but he’s such a brilliant philosopher...

Sunday, December 07, 2014 Fat Class Warfare Posted by Daniel Greenfield @ the Sultan Knish blog There was a time when fat was in and thin was out. Obesity was the privilege of wealth and being thin meant being poor. In simpler societies, before slumming became a romantic pose, there was nothing attractive about not having enough to eat. To be fat was to be part of the leisure class. Thin meant you were on the road to the poorhouse or to consumption, which meant your body was being consumed, not that you were the one doing the consuming. Then...

“Comfort, Comfort My People” (Isaiah 40:1-11)“Comfort, comfort my people.” Yes, comfort. A word so nice, they said it twice. Who did? Why, Isaiah did. Well, actually God said it, through his prophet Isaiah. You heard it at the start of today’s Old Testament Reading from Isaiah 40: “Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,” etc. God wants his preachers to bring comfort to his people, to speak tenderly to his church. And so this is what God has sent me to do here today for you. He says, “Comfort, Comfort My People.” Comfort: Today I want...

Not just fleeing the Middle East: It’s not just the Mideast from which Christians are being driven. “Christians are being driven from the Middle East in suffering,” Pope Francis said in a video message yesterday as French Cardinal Phillipe Barbarin visited the Iraqi city of Irbil, where thousands of Christians have taken refuge. “And from America; and from the military, who need God’s protection, as we do in the USA,” adds Fred Abel of jfredabel@gmail.com. Abel is spot on. The main difference between Christians being driven out of the Middle East and those being driven out of America is that...

To have and to hold and to hitch it up in the Sunshine State: That's the honeymoon-swoon allure of a new Visit Tampa Bay ad campaign created in anticipation of Florida soon eradicating a ban on same-sex marriage. Earlier this week, a federal appeals court ruled that a stay in the state's ban on same-sex nuptials will be lifted Jan. 5 because of the ban's unconstitutionality. If that holds up, Visit Tampa Bay, Hillsborough County's nonprofit tourism branch, would "almost immediately" court betrothed-minded LGBT folks with its glossy new "To Have and To Hold" blitz. There will be matrimonial-specific print...

In his classic treatise on the coming Antichrist entitled "The History of Antichrist," Rev. Pascal Huchede, who served as Professor of Theology at the Grand Seminary of Laval, France, explains that: "To insure the success of his enterprise, he will employ means that naturally secure the service of men, such as imposture, recompense, violence, and miracles. I. Imposture By his deceitful craft he will detach the minds and hearts of all peoples from the religion of Jesus Christ. By his incomparable eloquence he will represent Jesus as an imposter; he will attack His doctrine and institutions, according to the teachings...

Thursday, December 04, 2014 Black Lives Don't Matter Posted by Daniel Greenfield @ the Sultan Knish blog The slogan of the wave of Ferguson protests is “Black Lives Matter”. But progressives are far more interested in toting around the corpse of Michael Brown to their protests than in the living man he was. Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and countless others like them grew up in broken families, their lives haunted by fathers and stepfathers with gang ties. The only masculine culture they had was that of the thug and that culture eventually killed them. Criminal culture is even more fatal...

What is really going on in Ferguson? Here is what it is really about: The progressive alliance of Mass Media elitists, Wall Street manipulators, entitlement boosters, racial “equality” careerists, community organizers and socialist agitators that constitute the political hard-core of the Democratic party that brought Barak Obama to power is falling to pieces. All the baldfaced lies, prevarications, demagoguery, failures (both foreign and domestic) of the past six years have finally become unsupportable and a great disappointment has settled in amongst the believers. The American people have finally noticed and voted to reverse all of it.

I just got off of the phone with Mrs. B. Elk. Update: 1. BlackElk's kidney is functioning ... not at full strength, but it is functioning 2. In general, much more stable 3. He is being S-L-O-W-L-Y brought back to consciousness. He did respond a little to the voice of his former law partner (who is no conservative!) He is not all the way awake yet. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR PRAYERS AND KIND WORDS!

Today, Planned Parenthood sent two Black women out front to push support for abortion in Ohio. They were opposing Ohio’s pro-life Heartbeat legislation due for a vote this week. HB248 would generally prohibit an abortion of an unborn human individual with a detectable heartbeat. The heartbeat is detected usually around six weeks gestation. Speaking for abortion giant Planned Parenthood which was founded in eugenic racism was an African American mother of six who said that her decision to have an abortion should not be judged. Samantha Williams began her speech on the south lawn of the Ohio Statehouse by saying,...

Identity politics and identity religion are tearing at the very fabric of our nation. In America, establishing one’s identity through some real or imagined genealogy creates a false politics based on perceived physical lineage rather than cleaving to the identity of freedom upon which this nation was founded. It goes beyond individuals’ physical attributes (membership in or identifying with a minority, boiling down to an impression that less melanin equals no identifiable culture) that fueled the recent Ferguson and Ferguson-sympathy riots to understand where this kind of thinking is really leading… disassembling the nation through mob politics. The sham correlation...

Brazilian Families Want Legal Homeschooling By Julio Severo A group of families made a 12-hour trip to be in Brasilia, Brazil’s capital city, to attend a vote in the Brazilian Congress on homeschooling. The vote was postponed, but the presence of these families and their children touched the hearts of many congressional representatives. Homeschool families in the Brazilian Congress These families, who were sponsored by ANED (Associação Nacional de Educação Domiciliar, National Home Education Association), promise to be in Brasilia again next Wednesday, when there will be a possible new vote. Congressmen touched by homeschool families The current Brazilian...

The Christian holy day of Christmas, the birthday of Jesus, has taken on worldwide dimensions, celebrated in some fashion by Christian and non-Christian alike I receive Free Inquiry magazine monthly even though I never subscribed to it. The magazine is read by atheists who prefer to be called “humanists.” The Council for Secular Humanism that publishes the magazine has “Affirmations of Humanism” that begin with the assertion that they are “committed to the application of reason and science to the understanding of the universe and to the solving of human problems.” I try to apply reason to everything I write...

“Restore Us, O God” (Psalms 80, 85, 126)We’ve just heard three psalms that are appointed for this Advent season, Psalms 80, 85, and 126. Did you happen to catch what they have in common? There was a connecting theme running through all three of these psalms. And here it is. It is the prayer, in one form or another, that goes something like this: “Restore Us, O God.” In Psalm 126, we heard of a previous restoration: “When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.” And then the psalmist prays that the Lord would...

Aaron David Miller, who was Dennis Ross' top assistant, has told YNet that the United States 'always' tried to interfere in Israeli elections, but never succeeded (Hat Tip: Red Tulips) (link in Hebrew). According to Miller, the US gathered a lot of information about Prime Minister Netanyahu - including his activities while a student in the United States - but no one would listen. Miller admits that the George HW Bush administration influenced the outcome of the 1992 election to bring Yitzchak Rabin to power over Yitzchak Shamir, but he claims that's because the US set up the environment...
