This video is a reminder of what Jesus said in the New Testament! Luke 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Troy Molde awoke at 3 a.m. Thursday to police flashlights shining in his face. Two uniformed Lakeville officers were in his bedroom, knocking on the wall to wake him up. They were there, they said, to warn him to keep his doors closed and locked. Their surprise visit was part of a public service campaign. Officers had fanned out across the city, leaving notices on doors to remind residents how to prevent thefts by keeping garage doors closed, not leaving valuables in cars and locking windows or doors. But at Molde's house, they went further. His two sons, ages 5...

Howard Dean seems pretty proud of himself this weekend, having come up with the best quip he's had in ... well, ever. He says since the GOP nominee is an old white guy, that today's Republican Party "looks like the 1950s and talks like the 1850s.” That's all well and good for Dr. Dean. But for those who actually care about history, you may recall that John McCain spent most of the 1950s at the Naval Academy, learning how to fight and if necessary die for his country. And as more than one friend pointed out to me this weekend,...

Perhaps these small, easily ignored earthquakes should remind us that it was only 200 years ago that the largest earthquake in the US struck in this same region. They are clustered in a straight line between Paducah, KY; Memphis, TN; and Cape Girardeau, MO - Very close to the New Madrid quake of 1811-1812. More info: http://hsv.com/genlintr/newmadrd/ http://quake.usgs.gov/prepare/factsheets/NewMadrid/ It's dismissed almost casually in most of today's "history" books as an "inactive" fault, or as an earthquake not occurring in a fault zone at all, but as we see exaggerated environmental scares every day (every hour ?) we should realize that...

One family is under investigation and another family has been arrested for leaving a child unattendeed in a hot car. In the first case, a 22-month-old was left in a car seat for three hours before she died. Ocoee police are still investigating the death. As for the other family, the parents were lucky, their 3-year-old daughter is doing OK, but her French mother and father are behind bars, charged with child abuse. Many other children do not make it, dying inside these extremely hot cars. News 13's Karent Castillo turned on a faucet in a kitchen sink. At its...

Economists call it "rent-seeking," the value of lobbying governments in order to maximize profits. In Minnesota, the special interests have perfected the art to such a degree that right now, in the face of a $2.2 billion state budget surplus, tax relief has been put on the back burner. Indeed, even Gov. Tim Pawlenty's spendthrift proposal — a whopping $34.4 billion for 2008-09 — is merely a starting point for big-spending Democrats who have divorced themselves from any fiscal reality. Of course, these "progressives" disguise this government greed with some bemusing tactics, such as the claim that, adjusted for inflation,...

Forget the ‘root causes’, says Mark Steyn. The massacre in Bali was part of the continuing Islamofascist war against the West, and those who ignore it are sleepwalking to national suicide New Hampshire An appeaser, said Churchill, feeds the crocodile in the hope that it will eat him last. But sometimes the croc eats him first anyway. For months, the US, Britain and Canada had warned the Indonesian government about terrorists operating within its borders. So had Singapore and Malaysia. President Megawati’s administration responded by calling Washington anti-Muslim. The American ambassador was publicly denounced by her vice-president. Hassan Wirayuda, the...

UDAIRI RANGE, Kuwait, May 4, 2006 – For 20-year-old Army Pfc. Michael Torres, deployed here from Baumholder, Germany, a constant reminder that the American people are behind him comes in the form of a tiny folded U.S. flag he keeps in his pocket wherever he goes. Army Pfc. Michael Torres, deployed from Germany to Kuwait in support of the global war on terror, displays a tiny folded flag sent by VFW Ladies Auxiliary 7581, in Wayland, Mich., that he said gives him daily inspiration that the American people are behind him. Just a reminder: Free Republic is a conservative site. We fight for conservative principles, values and causes. We defend the Constitution. We defend our borders. We defend our God-given rights. We are opposed to the liberal/socialist/Marxist agenda for America. We do not willingly give up ground to the Marxists. It's true that the illegal immigration issue is very discouraging, and I don't know if anyone has a solution that will appeal to conservatives and yet manage to get by Democrat obstructionism, ie, a filibuster, but I don't see that as any reason to give up everything. We should not allow...

There's no helping you. This site is now just a diversion -- like a train wreck. This site is inherently for and about raving egomaniacs, and Jim's site policies -- which amount to excluding reality and actual dialogue in favor of political/militaristic pornography -- is conducive to cognitive dissonance, which at the times your worldview is threatened leads you into psychotic breaks (on the political cognitive plane, that is, and just maybe in other realms too). Not to mention that your baseline politics is based in mythology about American demographics, science, economics, ethics etc. You spoonfeed each other in the...

On a Mark Levin thread today, some one raised the idea of wearing red on Fridays to show support for our troops and to (yes, I'll say it) discriminate us from the DU slime. Fly your flag!

Far too many Hollywood hypocrites and other protestors claim that they are out for peace when, in all reality we know that they are really out with the goal of advancing a left-wing agenda of anti-Americanism. If September 11th, 2001 has taught the American people, and indeed the people of the world, anything it is that, in an age of extreme peril, we cannot sit idly by as dangers gather. Various ‘anti-war’ groups have declared that February 26, 2003 will be the day on which they will launch a so-called “Virtual March on Washington.” These groups, such as “Win Without...

As someone who has forgotten 2 of my wife's birthdays and 1 anniversary during our marrige--I sympathize for all you men out there who forget stuff too. Tomorrow is "Mother's Day." You may argue it is a holiday made up by Hallmark to sell things..but take my advice--- show that mom or wife you care and DON'T FORGET unless you want to end up in the dog house. Picture this: you wake up Sunday morning.....have your coffee, glance at the paper...and suddenly..your kids bring Mom homemade cards and freshly picked wild flowers! She smiles...then the children ask: "Daddy, what...
